Hey Nique! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this, construct it, and make a video reviewing it! In regards to "removing the billet" - I generally keep billets. I've got loads of them. In performance, it goes like this: - Give them the billet, ask them to write their favorite movie - Do the performance - Afterwards, IF they ask about the card they wrote on (they generally don't, but if they do), then my response is: "I'd like to hang onto it. I meet a lot of wonderful people, such as yourself, but sometimes the memories get tangled. Two years from now, I want to look back at this and remember the great experience we had together, Vivian. Consider it a souvenir." Now they feel so special! They're not 'just another audience member' - they're a person who the mentalist (a person with this extraordinary ability) wants to remember. Or, if doing a QA, it already makes sense for the performer to keep it. If the reallllly want it back, then you just look at the short edge, flip through & find the one with writing and give it back to them. Best, Tom
I put this together yesterday, and I must say, it's excellent. The action of getting the peek is almost the same as a card peek in a deck (a Marlo concept, I think) from Henry Hay's The Amateur Magician's Handbook that I learned when I was a teenager. I've never been called out on that peek, and I think your peek will go right over the spectators' heads.
Tom´s Ideas are great. I Combine that Peel with Paul Carnazzo Pac Stack Idea. Turn into a killer gimmick. Any pack of billets who I have in pocket, have one "gimmick" that setup... Thx one more awesome review, Nique
Thats what i said! This fits right in to Scott Creasey’s minimal mentalism work. Plus you can also use the stack of billets for Phill Smith’s The Biz peek - perfect for that second participant.
Great review, Nique! This is quite a coincidence, but my friend Bill suggested to me (also Bill) that I recommend you to his friend, also named Nique. 🤔 @ 6:28 you had me laughing 😂Thanks for your helpful and funny reviews! Keep them coming!
Hey Nique great review, and I also agree that making a prop yourself and using it is very satisfying. With that being said have you ever seen Stegosaurus by Phill Smith? Its a great 3 phase DIY trick, I think you would like it. Keep up the great work !!
Love you to review THE INTO WALLET from TCC. I think it ticks all the boxes. Great peek/peeks, and a card or borrowed ring etc. to a sealed envelope inside your zippered wallet will also do a no palm card to wallet it is minimalist in design and has all you need as EDC., not leather but very well made, and you could buy 3 of them for the cost of most magic wallets. I have only seen one review on youtube; it deserves a much wider audience.
Great info, Nique, and I really appreciate your insight. I'm just getting into billet work and like the look of the cards you use. Can you share which cards you use for your billets?
I order double blank bridge sized playing cards from Amazon or something like that. They come in boxes of like, 500 I think. Haven’t bought them in awhile; my previous order I got quite a handful to keep me going for a bit. 👍🏻
Great review. How does this compare to Paul Carnazzo's PaC Stack? The peek looks very similar and it sounds like the limitations and restrictions are similar too.
Hi Graham! It's not like his. I probably shouldn't say too much here because I don't want to give away any part of Paul's method. Let's just say that The Worker's Peek doesn't require as much cutting, and you don't have to worry about lighting. Best, Tom
Hey Graham, what Tom said! Again to be fair I don’t have PAC Stack but from what I gather they’re different methods with a similar look in execution. 🤗
@@niquetan Thanks Nique. The easiest way to describe the PaC Stack peek is to think of the Alias wallet. It sounds like this is indeed different and that I might have to spend more money...
@@niquetan I was thinking if in the middle of my mentalism set using this index pack, suddenly one of the spectator scream "..it's just a Trick lah!!.." Ah PaC Stack also the first question that comes to mind. Obviously this is the third comment about it. Maybe PaC Stack next review? Comparison video would be fair.
For me it doesn't make sense to get the drawing back and insert it to a stack of business cards. It looks like a card trick and not that magical to my eyes.
I have to totally disagree with your review here. I purchased this and am unable to build the gimmick, because the tutorial is not good enough. There is a lot of information missing from it than you probably didn’t notice because you’re a professional but I was totally confused.

Another brilliant review. This peak sounds very practical and workable 😀
Extremely well done review! 👍

Excellent review, as always. I'm glad that you're feeling better.
Thanks Chris; yeah I’ve still got a nagging cough that needs stifling when I speak, but other than that I’m feeling alright! 🤗
Very happy to help! I like it a lot.

This reminds me of insider by Marc Oberon. It’s a peak device made into a stack of index cards

What a great review. (as always) Can you use business cards or do they have to be double blanks?
Business cards are fine; you’d just need to be careful with orientation. 👍🏻
