Here's a crazy artist to break down - Daphne Oram. She was this British electronic music/noise pioneer in the 1950s. When I was working driving trucks, I used to listed to her CDs on my way to work at 1 AM. Kraftwerk cited her as an influence for their music. So I'll bet a person could draw a line from Daphne to Kraftwerk to Daft Pink to the current crop of electronic musicians. I even hear her influence in Kevin Parker's synth work on his Tame Impala stuff.
Great video as usual, sir! Interesting, informative, and helpful!

She practiced mainly "musique concrète" and "Elektronische Musik", not necessarily electronic music as we know it. But she made the Dr. Who theme music originally. There's a lot to learn from even before her time. We studied her and the historical context of electronic a lot in my BA (Hons) in Digital Music.

@@producermathew There's a dude who predated her from the 1940s and perhaps you know his name.... it escapes me at this time.
I had just mentioned "Musique Concrète" to Kenny a few weeks ago.
So, Stephen Reich... genius or weird hack?
