We are very proud of our girlies! It helps a lot that we had them in England for two years and did a lot of groundwork and training with the horses to get them fairly bomb proof. (As much as possible for an Arabian and TB :P )
What a cool way to see a country - especially one with such beautiful ruins and castles. I loved Scotland, but have not been to Ireland. One day I hope to get there. You guys had such lovely scenery to go along with your ride.
Thank you! We definitely can recommend basically all of the West Coast of Ireland! I guess we know why the wild Atlantic way is so popular and will probably have to travel ireland by car so we can catch everything we couldn't see on the horses!
We did ZERO pre-planning. We showed up to Ireland, and planned our route as we went along. We got lots of route suggestions from locals as we rode and some Kindly gave us a map and drew us a route or called a friend en-route for us to stay! We were on a time crunch of about 2 months so that is how long we rode from the south to the north.
