  • Welcome to the first episode of 2024. Today I want to share with you a conversation with noted London toy soldier vendor Andy Morant. Andy has been a long time vendor at the Portobello Market, but he also has a website where a large selection of previously loved toy soldiers of all ages and origins can be found. In our discussion Andy shares his candid thoughts on the state of the hobby.
Andy is an excellent source of toy soldiers and if your'e looking to fill in a set or add to an existing one, you should check out what he has, including civilian figures.

I enjoyed that interview! Andy is a great guy. You have just got to love that laugh of his. Shame he no longer does the London Toy Soldier Show. It was always good seeing and hearing him there.

I would recommend Andy as he has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is outstanding in his field (although I dont think there are any fields left around Portobello Road!) and I have bought figures off him when I travel up to London. He always has a good display of figures on his tables.

Great interview!! Andy is so correct, toy soldiers are really visual! If you cant see them get them out for collectors and dealers.
