The laseractive units are notorious for leaking/dried up caps, and needing a full recap, especially the option modules MD/TG16 etc, never known one to have bad logic IC's, but there's always a 1st time! It's usually the laser that dies and they are fairly irreplaceable, but it looks like the laser is testing good. best of luck with this one, and hopefully you can make another video from it.
Sounds like the original 'repairman' wanted to keep the cost of the recap, cheeky. Hope he allows you to continue to diagnose/fix it. If so looking forward to seeing next video on this. Love these unusual all in one units.
