Fantastic. I had one of these when i was 17, in the early 80's . I got my 250 license on Friday morning, I was arrested for dangerous driving on Friday night (riding, driving, same thing in AU) and lost my license in court, on the following Monday. I'v never seem my Mum so happy.
I drove exactly the same model and paint design about ....well...many (!) years ago.It makes my heart sing watching your video. I bought mine just because of the sound. If you ever think about selling it, please send me a note. Just for the emotions. All the best and thank you for a beautiful video
WOW, the sound of that motor brings it all right back to me. The first time I got on the bike and rode it out from the dealer's. I loved that bike. I actually had two with this identical color and graphics, one got stolen from the college parking, so did the second one, finally got a third replacement and bought a better chain and alarm system. Those bikes were super fast, at the stop lights I smoked big Harley's and everything else from the get go. They had a big problem though, the muffler inserts would get clogged with carbon and eventually would permanently get stuck in there. You always had to keep a close eye on the 2 stroke oil level, if you ran out on the road the engine would be destroyed.
Found one here in Masbate,Ph..but i am still in doubt about availability of parts,i want original parts still thinking about yamaha RS 125&DT 125CC parts will match in RD 250CC it is quite rare here..still in my project Suzuki GP 125CC

However one hells angel called it a 'sowing machine', he got it right compared to the noise of a four stroke bike, but I loved it. Had races with Pony express messengers through London via St John's Wood, Swiss Cottage and Hendon Way; great fun...!

This was my first 250 when I was a teen over 40 yrs ago, brings back happy memories . Just started riding again and now in my sixties, I ride a Lexmoto LXR sports bike and the power I remember in the RDB 250 is far superior to the weak toque and speed of today's bikes.

I’m asking since the paint style on the tank seems to be from the RD350 that was launched in India in 1985 (in collaboration with Rajdoot). The original paint style of the 1975 RD350 and RD250 (at least in the US market) was different, and hence my question.

The oil pump expanded (Mix 1:40) and drive special exhaust inserts from HVC with which I clear without exhaust wool.
