Hi all, if you happened to see the other video that went live today that was an accident. It was set to go live tomorrow and something happened. The video will be live again tomorrow and those you that I’ve already seen it. I would love if you went and watched it again tomorrow 😂💚
I like that you give the cost breakdown. Sometimes gardeners on youtube do a lot of projects and don't give the cost breakdown. At least I know this project is actually feasible for someone who doesn't have thousands to spend.
Hey there Robbie. You always make my day with your famous quote: "this is for a different Robbie to figure out. Not for today Robbie." Love it and keep your videos coming.
My thought exactly! they'd look gorgeous, although I adore hostas as well. Your creeping fig wall is going to be gorgeous. I wish we could grow it here in zone 5b
I purchased a home that has creeping fig in the yard, climbing up a few birch trees. Never thought to use it for wall coverage. I have perfect wall in our entry that could use some creeping fig interest. Even though the plants are inexpensive, I love me a good free project…definitely going to propagate soon!! Thanks for the idea, Robbie.
I love your videos. I love your personality. I like how you explain why you are doing a project, the cost, and the steps to do it. I am so proud of you.
Hi Robbie, Creeping fig in my zone 9b garden in Scottsdale AZ. I had multiple plants covering long expanses of stucco walls. Some were in shade, others full sun…. Just beautiful. It helped me have something lush and green to look at in my dry desert gravel cactus life 😢 fast forward 10+ years….old mature creeping fig roots destroy irrigation systems, strangle out other mature plants. The roots become massive (like tree roots). Anyway I had to have my lovely green lush wall of fig removed. The damage was so severe. Significant Irrigation repairs, stucco walls repaired and repainted. 😢😢😢 So just be aware they are lovely, grow well for us here, adapt to various sun exposures I’ve left 4 figs that cover my huge stucco arch at our entryway. 🤞Wish me luck. 🍀
Thank you for saving the ferns! They are too lovely to toss. I like the creeping fig and plan to try it this year. So interesting to see all of your plans coming to fruition!
I never thought about growing creeping fig as a shaped topiary! I have a shady backyard where it will thrive! This would also give me a focal point for a moongate! Robbie thank you so much for this inspiration!
Robbie, this will look so pretty. Suggestion: You are stepping up your game this year with a more professional and neat look. Please paint the bottom of the fence white to give a completed professional look! Thanks FOR SAVING THE FERNS!b❤😂❤
Yay Robbie! You saved those lovely ferns! And just one question: you are making your home look so fresh and charming; have you thought about painting your back door green? 💚 Would look nice, hint, hint.😂😊
Wait.. 2 videos in one day! You are really blessing us. Random, can you do a video about the chickens? would love to know how you care for them in relation to the garden.
Your videos always cheer me up!! It's great way to start the day with you (& Janey ) I LOVE creeping fig & got 2 potted plants last week to use inside my house. They are so gorgeous.. what's not to love about a plant with heart shaped leaves💚🌿! Just thought I'd mention the house plant idea for people who want to try that. I will be buying more! We all get why you had to save the ferns..I babied an oregano from last summer just because I didn't have the heart to toss it.. and it's rewarding me with new growth and will have a happy home outside again soon💚 Thank you for being real..today's Robbie or tomorrow 's Robbie.. we can never get it all done and you show us the truth & ups n downs (*mosquitoes 😳, cold, wind, rain, and cost of projects) that we all deal with! Love that! And your absolutely big smiles.. I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets motivated by your attitude.. again, thank you!!!! I'm hooked on your channel!
I just saw this morning your video in the garden but I do not see it now. That has been my favorite video. I love your relationship that you have with your husband.
Loved this idea!! Just slap some paint on the bottom board cause it will be awhile before the plants cover it and now it distracts from your gorgeous plants.
Brent is the cutest!!!! We need more of him on your channel! lol The new bed looks really good. I love the green color you have chosen, it looks perfect in the garden.
Hi! I’ve never heard of creeping fig before. Do you worry about the vine creeping through the fence slats and that potentially causing a problem for your neighbor on their side of the fence?
Hi Robbie, I’ve never heard of creeping fig until you showed it to us in your back yard. I agree, the leaves are so glossy, dark and just gorgeous. I am going to see if I can get it here where I live, I am zone 7b. That wall is going to be gorgeous once they fill in, a beautiful living wall. With the ferns, I was like don’t throw those away you crazy, put them somewhere else! 😅
First of all….2 videos in one day🎉🎉🎉😊. Second, I love your vision for the projects around your property. I love the espalier so much but I’m excited to watch the creeping fig green wall. ❤
Sold!! I’m gonna have to get a creeping fig now , it is very pretty they use it a lot here in my town on the outside walls of the community housing. I like that look better than ivy. Glad you saved the ferns ☺️
Creeping fig for wire animals is an interesting idea but what animal? I would have kept the ferns, too. Being flexible and relocating is key to a plant loving gardener. Happy day to you.
Great idea with the creeping fig! We had a wall of it when we lived in Arizona. It was beautiful and covered a boring perimeter wall with pretty green plants to look at. Do you have Mandevilla vines there? I was thinking they would also be gorgeous❤💕
Hi Robbie you can rent a hammer drill with a masonry bit from a home improvement store and make a hole in cement to put the drip through. Empowering to drill through concrete😉 Love this plant. Any similar vines for zone 5 you are aware of? Love you saved the ferns❤
Good morning. Loved tw😅 videos in one day. I did the same thing with a camellia bush. I trained it to just grow on the wires. It was beautiful. Just like your apple trees.
Hi Robbie! Can you tell me where you got your small fountain that is on your front porch? It’s so cute! Love your videos! Thanks for all of your hard work keeping us entertained.
Robbie, that yellow flower isn't jasmine, it's carolina jessamine and I had it a long time ago and it is just wonderful! No smell off it though like jasmine. I was just going to plant creeping fig on a white west wall, but it would burn you said, so I guess I will try someplace else. I really needed something to cover a bad paint job.
We have creeping fig all over our cinder block wall and after 3 yrs it’s so rugged and a fast grower! It has to b trimmed at least 2x a yr!!!! In spring here in GA zone 8, the dead winter leaves have to b trimmed too!
hi today Robbie lol i love your idea of a full green wall of fig!!!! funny i was thinking as you pulled out those ferns. I wish I lived closer because I would come and take them funny also you said at the end of your video us plant people don’t like to throw away plants. I’m so sad I’ve had a very large cactus for a long, long time I kind of neglected it because I have not replanted it which it desperately needed last year. It should’ve been done and I think it’s dyingand I told my hubs that I’m not throwing it out until the thing flops over I’m gonna do everything I can to keep it you know how us people are!!! thanks for sharing p. sorry about your tulips? will you let them naturalize or do you pull the bulbs?
This is first video I watched of yours, it popped up in my recommended videos. I just looked at your channel video list to see if there is a followup to this project but I don't see a title stating followup to creeping fig. Is there one? I am contemplating getting some for my homestead in northwest Florida, that's probably why your video popped up. Good video!
Robbie, Were the two higher wires even needed? Creeping Fig really grips the surface once it gets going I have never heard of it letting go of a wall….. LOL on not being a plant monster… I can’t toss plants either 🌿
Hello Robbie, you are being SUPER productive this week! ..Bravo! the fence looks great..............aaaah come on, you non-monster, don't you have a lil bit of white paint for tomorrow Robbie? .....It suuuure would be pertty! :)))))))
I just planted 6 creeping figs last month. February Sue Ann (me) was lazy and did not add wire😂 Just leaned it on block wall with the bamboo sticks. It hasn’t started to creep yet. When will that start? Is the wire necessary??
I've got creeping fig that I use in terrariums. Guess I'll pot up some extra and grow some outdoors. Didn't know they were hardy here...Z8. I wish I could just throw plants away sometimes but feel compelled to save all the cuttings and sprouts...smh.
That wall is going to look great. Sadly, here in zone 6 (Central NY), they would not survive. I'm not sure if it is my imagination or old ears, but sometimes you're fading out.
Anything with the word "creeping" scares me. My yard is filled with some kind of ground cover that no matter what I do it continues to grow. And don't even ask me about the bamboo that someone planted as a privacy fence. LOL
OK I thought I was going crazy. I did not know if I was dreaming or what, vivid dream. I looked for you in the history and it's not there. Thanks for the old age scare.
Should you not put the wire around the corner to on the end panel. I'm just soooooo happy you saved the ferns. Rather than throw plants away could you not put them on market place or to the curb with a free sign for people to take
Hi all, if you happened to see the other video that went live today that was an accident. It was set to go live tomorrow and something happened. The video will be live again tomorrow and those you that I’ve already seen it. I would love if you went and watched it again tomorrow 😂💚
I thought we were getting an extra treat today!
And here I am thinking that we were sooooo special to get two videos from you today 😂😂
Ohhh that wasn’t a bonus? 😂
Lol😂 Maybe do a quick little touch-up painting video…
I like that you give the cost breakdown. Sometimes gardeners on youtube do a lot of projects and don't give the cost breakdown. At least I know this project is actually feasible for someone who doesn't have thousands to spend.
Good morning today Robbie who is not a monster! You sure do make me laugh. You are very good at capturing gardener emotions!
Robbie you Crack me up😅 . I knew you couldn't throw those cute ferns out and you know you will fine the perfect spot for them.
Hey there Robbie. You always make my day with your famous quote: "this is for a different Robbie to figure out. Not for today Robbie." Love it and keep your videos coming.
Those ferns would be so pretty planted around the base of your fountain! (Thanks for saving them! 😊)
I agree he could mix them in with the hosta ! 🪻💚🙃
My thought exactly! they'd look gorgeous, although I adore hostas as well. Your creeping fig wall is going to be gorgeous. I wish we could grow it here in zone 5b
Can’t wait to watch those grow! They will be so pretty there. I'm glad you saved the ferns! I love them.❤
I somehow knew Robbie that those ferns were going to be saved 😋. Love the wall !
That green wall will make your front yard feel even more inviting than it already is. Great work Robbie who is not a monster today!
So glad you used the three! This will look so pretty 🌱
Wow! Two videos in one day. Thanks.
Nice project!
Im glad you saved the ferns.
This is going to look amazing 🤩 and ferns saved 😊win win 🎉😍
WOW...that vine is going to be beautiful there... Love it😊

Beautiful! And THANK YOU for giving those of us in colder zones am option. And Yay! For saving the ferns!!! What a wonderful gift for a friend. ❤
I love your videos. I love your personality. I like how you explain why you are doing a project, the cost, and the steps to do it. I am so proud of you.

Thanks Robbie. Happy Growing ! 🪻💚🙃
Great! Will grow in my zone!
I love your little excited giggles! Makes my day! 😂❤
Another pretty addition to your property. This will look so Goode!

Planting all 3 was perfect 💚
Love you Robbie...Cant wait to see what the fig plant does....

I love it, creeping fig will have to come to my garden
Take the fern to Janny
Looks good! 💪🏽

LOL I was thinking the same, throw them in the empty container! 🌼🐝
Great idea with the creeping fig! We had a wall of it when we lived in Arizona. It was beautiful and covered a boring perimeter wall with pretty green plants to look at. Do you have Mandevilla vines there? I was thinking they would also be gorgeous❤💕
That will be so pretty
That’s going to look really nice once filled in 😊
We knew you weren’t a monster!! 😂❤
Coral honeysuckle is really good a wonderful vine. Try it. The hummers love it!
Hi Robbie you can rent a hammer drill with a masonry bit from a home improvement store and make a hole in cement to put the drip through. Empowering to drill through concrete😉 Love this plant. Any similar vines for zone 5 you are aware of? Love you saved the ferns❤
I have a hard time throwing away plants too ♥
Put that fern back with your fig!! ❤
Love your enthusiasm 🌻🧡
Robbie, place the ferns in between the creeping figs. It would look greener and fuller. Love your videos 😊.
I had a feeling you wouldn't toss those ferns lol They're so pretty.
Hi Robbie I would suggest you put the fern in a hanging basket and hang on this same fence. ❤🌷🌻
Thank you! Your video is timely for a project I have in mind. 😊😊😊
Keep us updated!

p. sorry about your tulips? will you let them naturalize or do you pull the bulbs?
Me too… Love creeping fig! Going to be gorgeous in that spot!
😊
In Portland the wire vine ate my house. It also pops up many feet away. It got under my siding and it was even growing in my basement
Good video!
Omg I just got 3 climbing figs to train up by trellis. Mine are not as big as yours but mine are in a pot
Robbie,
Were the two higher wires even needed? Creeping Fig really grips the surface once it gets going I have never heard of it letting go of a wall…..
LOL on not being a plant monster… I can’t toss plants either 🌿
I tried the wire vine, love it but didn't survive my 6b zone. I love your creeping fig.
Will you use the metal edging on this side of the yard? The green wall will be lovely.
Morning. Pouring too, here in Chicago.
💙👍🏻💙

I had been looking for this plant I just didn’t know the name 👏
Hey Robbie is there gonna be lights over there??? Like the spot lights
❤purtayyy
Regarding Creeping Fig. How do you remove the stake that was used to get the ivy to climb to the wall when the ivy is wrapped around the stake?
Lonicera sempervirens is the coral honeysuckle.
I had a creeping fig climbing up my house when I bought it and I ripped it out 😮 I wasn’t a gardener back then and now I’m sad I got rid of it.
Is this the ficus pumila var. awkeotsang plant that produces fruit?
That wall is going to look great. Sadly, here in zone 6 (Central NY), they would not survive. I'm not sure if it is my imagination or old ears, but sometimes you're fading out.
How about a rooster topiary somewhere close to the chicken coop?
Anything with the word "creeping" scares me. My yard is filled with some kind of ground cover that no matter what I do it continues to grow. And don't even ask me about the bamboo that someone planted as a privacy fence. LOL
Vines are taking over. Be careful. 😊
Woke up to intense thunder and lighting. We’re a zone 4…this is not seasonal 😢 spring is looking extra early this year
Can I plant this on a wire mesh fence?
And are the ground roots bad on foundations after fully grown or mature size?
OK I thought I was going crazy. I did not know if I was dreaming or what, vivid dream. I looked for you in the history and it's not there. Thanks for the old age scare.
Should you not put the wire around the corner to on the end panel.

Poor beautiful ferns! 🙁
