I like that you give the cost breakdown. Sometimes gardeners on youtube do a lot of projects and don't give the cost breakdown. At least I know this project is actually feasible for someone who doesn't have thousands to spend.

I purchased a home that has creeping fig in the yard, climbing up a few birch trees. Never thought to use it for wall coverage. I have perfect wall in our entry that could use some creeping fig interest. Even though the plants are inexpensive, I love me a good free project…definitely going to propagate soon!! Thanks for the idea, Robbie.

    Hi Robbie,
Creeping fig in my zone 9b garden in Scottsdale AZ. I had multiple plants covering long expanses of stucco walls. Some were in shade, others full sun…. Just beautiful. It helped me have something lush and green to look at in my dry desert gravel cactus life 😢 fast forward 10+ years….old mature creeping fig roots destroy irrigation systems, strangle out other mature plants. The roots become massive (like tree roots). Anyway I had to have my lovely green lush wall of fig removed. The damage was so severe. Significant Irrigation repairs, stucco walls repaired and repainted. 😢😢😢
So just be aware they are lovely, grow well for us here, adapt to various sun exposures
I’ve left 4 figs that cover my huge stucco arch at our entryway. 🤞Wish me luck. 🍀

Your videos always cheer me up!! It's great way to start the day with you (& Janey ) I LOVE creeping fig & got 2 potted plants last week to use inside my house. They are so gorgeous.. what's not to love about a plant with heart shaped leaves💚🌿! Just thought I'd mention the house plant idea for people who want to try that. I will be buying more! We all get why you had to save the ferns..I babied an oregano from last summer just because I didn't have the heart to toss it.. and it's rewarding me with new growth and will have a happy home outside again soon💚 Thank you for being real..today's Robbie or tomorrow 's Robbie.. we can never get it all done and you show us the truth & ups n downs (*mosquitoes 😳, cold, wind, rain, and cost of projects) that we all deal with! Love that! And your absolutely big smiles.. I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets motivated by your attitude.. again, thank you!!!! I'm hooked on your channel!

Hi Robbie, I’ve never heard of creeping fig until you showed it to us in your back yard. I agree, the leaves are so glossy, dark and just gorgeous. I am going to see if I can get it here where I live, I am zone 7b. That wall is going to be gorgeous once they fill in, a beautiful living wall. hi today Robbie lol
i love your idea of a full green wall of fig!!!! funny i was thinking as you pulled out those ferns. I wish I lived closer because I would come and take them funny also you said at the end of your video us plant people don’t like to throw away plants. I’m so sad I’ve had a very large cactus for a long, long time I kind of neglected it because I have not replanted it which it desperately needed last year. It should’ve been done and I think it’s dyingand I told my hubs that I’m not throwing it out until the thing flops over I’m gonna do everything I can to keep it you know how us people are!!! thanks for sharing
