@ZarquisYiris-p5n nope, that's factually incorrect. RID 2015, is very much connected to transformers prime, and there's a lot of evidence to support it

After seeing the treatment Arcee got in this shitshow I had to rewatch Arcee: Dreams of Diacon for the 10th time to cleanse my palette because man. What we could have if some like 87render had the budget of 14,000$ to make a mini series around Arcee. Someone who actually cares about this character and not just a caricature to flirt with.
Finally what really gets me as an artist who took 3D animation courses but understands it’s not my medium to work with. I can understand that even with the alleged larger budget of 17,000$, that vfx can be really expensive so I can respect trying to find cheap ways around it. BUT seeing as how they have 3D models of the baddies 4:48 but they decide to use pngs… of the 3D models. WHY NOT USE THE 3D MODELS!?! It is the basic 101 of blender animation to just have a dark room with a single light source with the model standing. It wouldn’t have them even an afternoon to do that.
UltraMagnus’ claw hand was explain in the show to be due to the lack of proper resources and rudimentary equipment. We have seen Knockout be able to replace arms all the time when he fixed up Starscream and swapped out Megatron’s arm. It’s probably a mix of they now have the resources and maybe knockout is actually more skilled in limb replacements then Ratchet
It is literally the Mighty No. 9 of fan creations. Stiff animations, bad characterizations, mixed performances, an egregiously bad actor, delayed production, bad writing, poor research on continuity, and worst of all, an abundant of wasted potential in terms of the concept poorly executed.

It’s funny how they have a long-winded explanation for why Knock-Out eyes change because of what faction he is, when not only does the Covenant of Primus guidebook already explain why the Decepticons have red eyes, but not only have we had Autobots and Decepticons with different eyes in WFC and FOC, like Breakdown, Grimlock and Metroplex, but also Blades and Boulder in rescue Bots have different-colored eyes from other Autobots. They could’ve just used one sentence to explain Knock-Out’s new eye color: “Knock-Out got Optic surgery thanks to Ratchet and/or one of the Vehicons trained in medical practice.”
I had no idea that there were all the controversies behind this film. Before I knew all this, I thought it was just a zero budget passion project and thought it was OK for it was. But then I saw all the backlash and dug into a bit, and I guess for the time and money invested by others in support of the project over 10 years or so, it's not up to scratch on many levels. As just a standalone ode to Prime made by someone across 6 months and on his own in his bedroom, I'd have thought it was pretty good. I didn't know anything about Orbital Bacon either.
Alright. Devils advocate, but rebuilding Magnus' original hand is not that big of a stretch. After all, Starscream got a new arm after losing an old one. The reason Rstchet gave him that claw hand was probably due to limited resources and equipment even compared to their previous base.

One of the things I hated the most aside from Optimus being brought back was how Megatron was handled. The voice work wasn’t great IMO, and Megatron’s character drastically regressed from him deciding that the war was no longer worth it, to going back to being a villain for no reason. I understand that Megatron’s redemption wasn’t exactly liked, but removing a character’s character development in a sequel for no reason other than “I dislike it” is not good. In fact it’s takes form as one of the worst tropes in media history called “character assassination”. Overall, I’d take RID over this.

the contention about calling Hotrod "Rodimus" despite not being a prime is admittedly a nitpick (I know you dismissed it but I just wanna be fair and also bring this up) Animated ALSO did the same thing, and so did Transformers Energon
but to put general thoughts out- It's amazing how bad this film is- Like, I'm someone who ABSOLUTELY LOATHES Tranformers Prime. I pretty much share the same opinions on it as PerspectiveEnd does (though I do enjoy Starscream more than he does) Keeping that in mind... This movie actively pissed me off with how little it cared about TFP's own continuity. Like, TFP had some ideas that *_COULD_* have worked really well and given incredible depth to characters (mainly Megatron's rejection of the Decepticon ideology as well as what I've heard of the arc of Ultra Magnus), and this film just looks at all that potential and just says "Nah." Actually mind-numbingly infuriating
1:47 honestly true The first transformers movie is better than this but even then I'll go as far as to say earth spark Yes I know it's very much hated but it's very much better than this
I am so SICK of people - who often have never animated before, or who have at most animated 5 minute short films- dragging on the animation / budget of this movie. Its a 140 minute film!! to expect ONE PERSON, or even a team, on the budget they had, to do something equivelent to tfp's animations is just really ignorant. Considering all the models were made from scratch as well, thats even more impressive. There are ACTUAL issues with the movie that arent just a result of a lacking budget / difficulty of animation, the script is bad, the voice acting is done poorly, the plot sucks - if you're going to dig on to something dig on that, not the animation.
People keep saying to support indie animation, but they only want to support animation like hazbin or tadc, which are backed by amazon and netflix anyways? they arent even indie anymore - supporting indie animation means turning the other cheek if the animation is janky, ESPECIALLY when someone spent 10 years on something - you people can be so talentless and heartless and you choose to ignore the actual bigotry and racism that was present behind the scenes to trash someone who did something frankly fucking impossible for most people
@polydachi TADC isn't backed by Netflix tho? The only thing Netflix is doing is allowing it to be on there. And people dogging on the animation makes sense, the film didn't have to be as long as it was, even the preadoncons rising film wasn't that long, and it's also the fact that this movie was in the works for 10 years, which for how it looks shouldn't look as bad as it does
@ a single person making a 140m film, 10 years, I think, is quite a bit faster than what I think an average person could do especially when you consider the time isn’t exclusively spent on animating, there’s editing, modelling(which I do for work, so I know from experience how time consuming it is), obviously script stuff and voice acting would come first - and chances are he was self funding the project (a $13k budget is only $1300 a year, that’s like maybe 4 weeks of rent + expenses if you live somewhere cheap) with a job - unless you’ve tried animation or made your own movie you’re not in any position to speak about how something should look for the time it takes, in MY experience actually animating transformers, it’s about 2 weeks of work for ~20 seconds of animation because that’s also including the time spent on the environments, composition, and fixing rendering errora
Yea we're definitely gonna dig at it for the animation especially since it took 10 years to make everything about it especially the animation is absolute garbage.
@@darkshotgun209 again like ive been saying, you cant shit on someone else's animation when you havent done it before, if you HAD done it before you'd know how difficult animation is and how time consuming - not only was he animating, it can also be assumed that had to make the models themselves and with like 20 DIFFERENT MODELS that easily would have taken the budget that it cost - you also DONT know how much free time they actually had, because they only had a small amount of funding (YES, its a lot of money over the course of 10 years, but for a 140 MINUTE FILM its NOTHING) - if you think modelling and animation is so easy then by all means try to make something better lol and we'll see how well that goes

What figures is your transformersona made from, if you don’t mind me asking?
Legacy Jhiaxus
the contention about calling Hotrod "Rodimus" despite not being a prime is admittedly a nitpick (I know you dismissed it but I just wanna be fair and also bring this up)
Animated ALSO did the same thing, and so did Transformers Energon
I know, it was joke and a running gag through the video that I kept saying Rodimus' name wrong.
but to put general thoughts out-
It's amazing how bad this film is- Like, I'm someone who ABSOLUTELY LOATHES Tranformers Prime. I pretty much share the same opinions on it as PerspectiveEnd does (though I do enjoy Starscream more than he does)
Keeping that in mind... This movie actively pissed me off with how little it cared about TFP's own continuity.
Like, TFP had some ideas that *_COULD_* have worked really well and given incredible depth to characters (mainly Megatron's rejection of the Decepticon ideology as well as what I've heard of the arc of Ultra Magnus), and this film just looks at all that potential and just says "Nah."
Actually mind-numbingly infuriating
I really hate this movie so much
Why?
@@robbyrhodes4572 did you not watch the video?
It is not that bad, it is just as good as your average transformer fan's custom.
What
1:47 honestly true The first transformers movie is better than this but even then I'll go as far as to say earth spark Yes I know it's very much hated but it's very much better than this
Sorry to comment again but Hot Rod's design looks heavily inspired by Rodimus' MTMTE design.
Yeah, I don’t know why it turned off so bad I’m so foolish
This video is better than the actual film
Wow im suprised they managed to make a movie on microsoft paint😂
you used 17 minutes and 39 seconds when all you needed was 1 second to say yes
Man,the animation is awful,Great video btw
This reminds me of Beast wars.
Hate me or not but Beast wars has the worst animation ever.
Energon has worse
🤔🤔🤔🤔
Happy and smiling
Bts
Bullying on how you dont like getting criticised on how bad your customs are I SWEAR ALL YOU TRANSFORMER FANS ARE THE SAME

@Fastestmanalalive you sound angry lol
I consider galvatrons revenge a good idea with a bad execution
I wouldn't even say it has good ideas
@ true I only say that cause I feel like some of the stuff in it was pretty interesting to me
‘Rot Hod’.
you know the movie looks bad when half life 2 FROM 20 YEARS AGO looks better
It’s funny how Several Transformers fan films are better than fan film.
Also just for fun Star Wars Fan Films are better than this.

Bro really has a hate boner for me huh
Prime Animations alt account? 🤔
The writing isn’t bad. And animation is hard ok
No, the writing is very bad
