A Perfect Circle ~ The Noose {PIano & Vocal Cover}

- So... I recorded this video literally on the second night of trying to play the piano and sing at the same time. I've always encouraged people to step outside of their comfort zone, so I'm trying to do the same with this little passion of mine. :)
I'm doing my own little version of "The Noose" by a band that I love - A Perfect Circle. It's a meaningful song...
As you can hear, I'm playing the most basic, repetitive keys on the piano, and keys which are my "comfort keys". I use them very often. That way I can focus more on mixing the singing part in, while I'm still learning.
I also make tons of vocal and piano mistakes. So I promise to do an updated version when I learn how to do this whole thing better!
The video's sound is partially the RODE mic, and partially the mic on my camera. The tapping sound you hear in the back is from the keys being hit. Next time I will put the mic stand off of the piano or on top of something else.
And last but not least, I hope that you enjoy this little video and attempt. Keep in mind that I am not a singer, nor a pianist, and have yet to be trained in those art forms. Perhaps some day when I have more time and extra money... I'd love to learn the piano and learn to sing. These two things are just things that I do when nobody is around. Very recently I've become "open" about singing in front of others. Either way, it's extremely enjoyable to sit behind the piano, play a few simple keys and sing something. For now that's what matters to me. To enjoy whatever I do/make. :)

You're quite right. It doesn't matter if your not a pro or anything at something but once your heart is in it and have the will to do something just do it. I believe in meta physical of life is that you let your inside control the world around u. If even you didn't say it was meaningful to you I can tell from how you sang. This song means alot

The noose is my favorite song by A Perfect Circle. It is a sad song and convey me a lot of feelings. But, sincerely, this song sung by you is wonderful, leaves me speechless. It's sad and sweet at the same time. You have a sweet voice and I like, your voice reminds me of Emily - Evanescence.

Hey girl! Congrats! The arrangement is simple but effective. One small trick you could do to spice it up is to change the inversion of the chord when you enter a new section, e.g. when you go into the bridge, you could arpeggiate A-C-E instead of E-A-C and then go back for the chorus. You could also play with the high note of the arpeggio and change it to make melodic tension. I love the sensibility in your voice, and the little vibrato that appears at the end of some lines. Keep it up! Love!
