  • The Myton Bridge carries the A63 (Roger Millward Way) over the River Hull. The A63 runs east-west through Hull and is among the city's busiest roads. The bridge was constructed in 1981 and consists of a box-girder roadway supported by asymmetric cable stays.
The video shows the bridge swinging open and then closing again over a span of 55.5 meters. The bridge opened to allow the Rix Owl to leave the River Hull and enter the Humber Estuary. The River Hull tidal flood protection barrier can be seen at the start of the video, marked with the sign "STOP WHEN LIGHTS FLASH".
Video filmed on 30th October 2017.
