The heat/viral setup is indeed quite good! has been my go to fun weapon when I wanna make the game more fun and chaotic. Lol made a Cyber Goku build with the secondary fire as a Kamehameha and use secondary encumber with hybrid build. If you clump them up, secondary fire absolutely clears house swiftly as it debuffs, primes, and destroys everything within its path in a single clip. Almost always without ammo issues!

Ah, I forgor. Almost 2-3 weeks ago I started farming it. Since then I finished the Quests I had, got my first Kuva weapon, got and upgraded my Hellmith, got the Kavat incubator and a Kavat, finished my first Circuit and got Nova out of it, got Dagath and Revenant. You know, basic stuff😅 (no they aren't)

Yeah, Athodai was weird, because it has that obvious on paper synergy > trigger buff > alt fire infinite flamethrower mode.... except no, lol.

Mag bubbles make it easy to get a headshot, and with the fire rate just turns into a murder-orb.

I'm still sad they called it a hand cannon, and what we got was a full auto pistol. I'd kill for more guns like the lex and tombfinger dammit!
This gun has amazing potential for augments since the Furis incarnon exists now. If the alt fire could benefit from 50% of the overdrive and if overdrive could refresh with a kill during the last 3 seconds of the buff or something, it'd be much more flexible.
And if the alt fire could be stopped by pressing primary fire that'd would make it feel better.

Funny enough, even though I dont use it that much, this is still one of my most used secondaries, because I was relatively new/intermedate when it came, and it having catalyst installed meant better capacity, had fun gimmicks, so I just sticked with it for a looong time, until I got my 2 loves, cyanex and pyrana prime

With a Scourge/Scourge Prime it's just spray the enemy without problem.

I love using the Athodai. My main problem is the overcharge doesn't work half the time if you have increased fire rate buffs.

My guess is the alt fire gets disabled because the damage is based on how much ammo you spend on it, like you can increase the damage of it by modding for mag size. With infinite ammo, that would probably just break.
Athodai is like a baby version of knell/knell prime. More usability in exchange for a weaker buff.
No special tips and tricks this time, its just a normal gun with a neat buff.

Side note: the buff disables the alt-fire because the alt-fire with unlimited ammo would be… pretty intense…

Yet another weapon that I love. I really like weird pistols. Imo this is a huge sleeper gun. It's nothing compared to the MIGHTY SEER though. Try not to think about the MIGHTY SEER too much on your trip

Isn't using primed heated chatge a bit counter productive, since the weapon already primarily does innate heat? I'd probably stick with radiation
you want to boost your heat procs, so please keep heated charge
it is a crit build, not status build. elemental weighting not gonna effect it much with that measly 8% status chance.
@@lunarezlycablood1838 You still will deal heat procs thanks to the fire rate, so it's better in this case
@Orion_44 I'd then opt for the heat arcane instead of deadhead since recoil gets removed by the gun anyway

How arduous was the road to MR30 and do you have any tips? I hit MR19 a few days ago and I'm headed to 30.

i just got to mr30 a few weeks ago and honestly its not hard, it just takes a while. when i dried up on easy weapons to get i just got the kuva's tenets, prismas etc.
This thing is so so sad to me because I genuinely want to like it so much but every aspect of its design is fighting with itself. It's a super high fire rate gun with no ammo reserve, but it's got an infinite ammo mechanic if you go for headshot kills, except you can't actually use the fun secondary fire if you have that mechanic active, and the secondary fire eats the ammo WAY faster than anything else possibly could, so you just really shouldn't play with the secondary fire at all, but then why is it THERE, and it drives me crazy.
Yeah, you CAN just run a really straightforward primary fire build, but like... the funny plasma beam alt fire is so much more interesting to me and it's just actively terrible :

This seems like a worse version of the dual toxocysts. You need to get a kill to gain the fire rate while the toxes need only hits, and they have the incarnon that turns them into aoe headshotting monsters.

@@michaelrhodes1457 not a nightmare as no nightmare mod dropped and its not always available, and its not steel path as the mission title wouldve said so, and mc got neither an arcane nor steel essence as drops during the 12 minute run
