Melissa, your video footage is so beautiful. You certainly have a good eye and are a talented cinematographer. Love your music choices as well. Well done! Please keep up the superb work in Shanghai! Love that you show what life is really like in China!👍😍❤
Gee Melissa, I was SO tempted to show both of you extremely blessed ladies what a 'slow, intentional and relaxing' morning in an ER of a New England hospital looks like too..., instead of delicious coffee we just pour a couple of '5 hour energy' down the throats, instead of freshly baked breads we just took a couple of bites of the cold pizza from the night before... instead of enjoying a good book we have to force our ways through the interesting plots of patients' medical history / records. SO the term 'envy' is definitely, absolutely and completely NOT enough to describe my current emotional state at this point😁 May God pour down His blessings upon both you and your beloved AVG Melissa!
@@melissa_renee I am glad to hear it. New England is beautiful..., yet, the entire country, the land of the free and the home of the brave is so very awesome as well, she's definitely the most beautiful, elegant, graceful and precious lady in the whole world! She's someone worths all of our blood, tears and lives to defend and to guard..., she's someone to die for if its necessary. On the lighter note :) we thought it will be lovely if you guys could come over for a visit somewhere down the road, comfortable living accommodation with spacious land and a small lake, sourdough breads / freshly baked bakeries and high quality vegan meals will be provided as well.... , and, ready for this? We are the biggest and meanest coffee snobs ever existed in the known human history, so superb coffee also could be counted on all the time during the stay... . :)
Was so lovely creating this video together, and so nice seeing your slow mornings in China! One day we’ll hopefully have a visit to a coffee shop and bookshop together! ❤
Visiting from Samantha's channel! So yup coffee and baked goods is what I do too sitting at my desk at work! Samsies lol...loved to see it through your lenses!
Cannot believe I just find your channel now. Such a hidden gem. This video is especially interesting to me, a Shanghai native born and raised in Shanghai now living on eastern seaboard for over a decade. I also speak French so this vid has many interesting perspectives for me...
I want a baguette now. . . also her journal has my favorite artist and art piece on it (Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss") so I loved seeing it. hehe. Breaddddddd. I love oat milk in things. Which books did you ladies each read?
Haha me too. And we saw some of Klimts work here in Shanghai recently! I love that painting too. And I don’t know what she read but mine was the same from my last video. ❤️ called The Road Trip
@@melissa_renee That's wonderful!! For my birthday this past time, I went to "Gustav Klimt's Immersive Experience" in NYC where the whole room was filled with his works and it would change with music. I felt like I was in his art. It was really cool.
Welcome to China, I hope you and your family have a good time in Shanghai。Shanghai is located in the Yangtze River Delta, together with surrounding cities such as Hangzhou and Suzhou, it represents the Jiangnan culture of China, 上有天堂下有苏杭. It is no exaggeration to say that China has many different cultures, landscapes and cuisines, I hope you will not gain weight too quickly 😊
Don’t miss out on Sams video we made for her channel. Head there right after you watch this one 😊

What a wonderful idea. East vs. West, big cosmopolitan vs. small intimate city. Shanghai was known as Paris of the East for a reason.
I agree! In her video I’m in the French Concession and the similarities are cool.
Huai Hai Road....The best for Slow living in Shanghai

@@melissa_renee Welcome!
上海是忙中偷闲,法国是慢中寻乐。。
'take' ... rather.
