Met my wife of 32 years at our first pearl jam concert 33 years ago in Seattle and weve now seen them 30 times live as weve seen every show on this tour so far and will end at ohana festival end of the month as were driving our motorhome to each venue 👍. I can't imagine experiencing this with anyone else but the woman who started this journey with me so many years ago❤️👍😊. Good to be alive in our early 60s still blasting PJ every moment we get! Love to Ed, Stone, Mike, Matt, Jeff and Boom❤️👍. You guys are timeless and so F ing relevant 👍
I proposed right before the show at Navy Pier. In 2014 our first show together for PJ was Detroit. They opened with Release then, it's my favorite song of all-time. I requested to the band to play this in Chicago and then they opened with it. I lost myself in the song. It was unreal!!! It was my 9th show and Chicago is up there. Night 2 we didn't make and I really wish cause that setlist was unreal. I still loved night 1! Congrats on your long journey with your wife! I hope in 32 years I'm able to see PJ as well 😅😅 rock on!
My first Pearl Jam live show, and my wife's first real "big" show... Been a fan since 93 and my wife really only got into them early 23 after years of "not liking" them, mostly due to radio play... This year, it clicked and she immediately bought tickets. She loves Release and joked that if they opened with it, she'd be wrecked. She absolutely was, and it was perfect. The entire set was perfect, and I can't thank the band enough for giving us both the ideal experience.
Very cool, thanks for sharing your story😊👍. Pearl Jam is a special band that I can't imagine life without their music. Can't wait for their new album 👍
I am myself like you somehow! I wait up in the dark for you to speeeeak to me!!!!!! Ever had a song hit you so hard when youre at a show and it brings you to tears? This did to me. Proposed to my girl b4 the show, she said yes and they opened with my favorite song of all time! Best trip ever!!!
Yo in early 90's, I guess 92 it would of been , almost every day brought a boom box outside, plug in extension cord, near my hoop and driveway, popped TEN in , and would listen to the whole album on repeat while shooting hoops alone. I remember vividly Release coming on and playing, slow song for basketball but damn the song HITS HARD even to a youngin at the time.
Cheers to the person who shot this! I can see myself in the background jamming out. Because of you I have a video with Eddie vedder! HA!! ❤ what a spectacular set of shows
Went to both shows. 30 and 31 for me. Been lucky to hear this song 17 of those times. This one hit differently because of personal stuff. Hearing this was cathartic in every way possible. Epic.
1 and 2 in my case, been wanting to see them live for 11 of my 13 years on this planet, and my goodness was it amazing, this song especially has gotten me in the feels since I took time to analyze the lyrics
Thanks for posting this, I had hip surgery two weeks ago and couldn’t go to last nights show so I’m grateful for this post. First tour I’ve missed in 25 years. 😢
To A Bal, thanks for posting this... I didn't even read your description. I just listened and that one little word change made it hit exponentially harder.
Oh dear lord , I'm listening to you ,pearl jam or you Eddie on this horrible night 9/20/23. I recently watched a video of you on September 5 , singing just breathe! I think I could have died if I hadn't saw that at that moment. I found out my dad whom lives with me the past 12 years is dying of long cancer ,metastatic it's already taken over most his body. He wasn't the greatest parent but my son an I love him an have cared for him for 12 years. If he makes it to his birthday he will be 76. I was at work today when I got q call from my son's school. One of his band mates an friends died this morning from suicide. Oh lord it's been a total bad month but my baby now at 15 lost a friend so did the whole band. 43 kids went to 42 ,my son's words . This is the first loss he's knows an with his grampa dying in front of us both.. I thank you for your music it's the only thing keeping me upright at the moment! We are not rich people we are not even well. But with music I hope we both can get through this . If you ever see this please say a prayer for my son at least . I have been through hell an back all my life but this is his first loss an to soon. Loss his grampa is killing me.
BEAUTIFUL SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!! What a opener, magical every time with "Release" The St.Paul was amazing concert! This concert should be great one its Chicago!! Thank You for sharing this awesome video and recording it 😊💓🤘✌️
@@meribethheitbrink1322 Was a great show, and then on to Austin Night 1. Both great in their own way. Posted most of both on youtube also, as did so many others haha.
Never forget my 1st PJ show,.. E Center in Camden N.J.. My wife and I attended,. Before the show I had a bottle of Vodka so I wouldnt have to pee during the show but had a killer buzz. My wife Marie however pounds dwn a 6 of tall boys b4 the show.. So we get in and Im hyped. Im lightin up my bowl n what happens?? My wife throws up everywhere. So its still a lil light out so people were avoiding the puke And Marie is passed out 0n the ground just as the show is starting. But it scattered everyone around us on the grass. it got dark finally n people just started walking through,.. yuk,... Needless to say she woke up during the encore n missed the entire show,..
First song on the first nite of what ended up being one of my best runs of music/living culminating in Austin. Also first song I ever saw PJ play live in what is now a parking lot for United center. The old Chicago Stadium 1994
I was at this show, me and my dad went to get food because we didn’t think they would play a hit for a while, then as we were heading back they started playing animal. Still pissed I missed the intro
@@ijustexisted222so sorry for your loss…..I hope this song brings you all the feels as you ride the rough wave of grief. It’s the epitome of a grief song.
My guess is he handed a guitar pick to a fan. He did that at a show I attended a year ago to the nice lady next to me. Even though he wasn't playing guitar during that song. Also, people report that when they meet him in person and ask for an autograph, he will decline but instead give you a guitar pick.
U want a Spiritual out of body Concert go to a Pink Floyd Concert I was at Dark Side of the Moon 🌙 1974 saw them 4 times thru the years they are the BEST 👌

Agreed! We saw them at the Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota. Simply amazing
If I had to listen to only one song the rest of my life, it would be Release
Eddie is a fuckin legend bro. This is one of my favorites I was at that show in chitown . Epic show just like the last 5 I've seen ❤❤❤

My second show and I was hoping to get this! What a night!
How could an opening to a Pearl Jam concert get any better than that? Hoping for Release in Ft. Worth night 2!
I went to this show and was hesitant as the MN playlists weren’t anything crazy. But wow, this set was insane. I hope you got a good show as well.

c'est du rock indépendant merveilleux et déjanté ,une référence magistrale
I was never a big Pearl Jam fan, but their music does make me a bit nostalgic. Heard them constantly in high school and went to a couple shows.
hermoso! gracias por compartirlo amigo.
I cant believe it that i was here
Adore this band. ❤
still belts it 😭
How is it possible that by 2023 they sound more like in the 90s than in the 2000s

March 10, 1994. I was there, too.

Boom Gaspar is the guy!!❤
What piano song is that?
😂 my Web guy! I think it says like 😂
Oh no! Did Eddie Vedder's mother pass away? He changed the lyric "Oh dear Dad ..." to "Oh dear Mom, can you see me now?"
No Eddie’s mom is still alive it might’ve been a mistake or maybe he sang it that way because I’m his mom was at the show
No, but mine did... that's kinda weird...
I had the same thought??!!! Or maybe another member’s mom? It seemed more emotional than usual.
His mom was probably in the audience.

Met ament in 2014, can confirm they give out guitar picks in the place of autographs/pictures!
@@grant8326 Did you ask him why they never play Sweet Lew?
What was that piano playing? Sounded lovely
I wonder if that was Josh playing??
@@margaretsch.3609it wasn’t Josh it was a tape called metamorphosis 2
Good to know about the piano, thanks!!
It sounds like Sia’s Breathe Me.
Excellent. Thank you@@BraedenD
Can we all admit they are a little over rated.
An opinion is like an asshole. Everyone has one. In this case, yours sucks and should be disregarded.
What happened to Eddie he doesn't look well. Always so hard to understand what he is singing 😮
