@@shimashima5332increasing the exp rates in reg wouldnt make people buy less cubes. They still need the gear. They might lvl quicker but that doesnt mean they could spend less money. Id argue for the opposite since they would have less time to farm meso because they would lvl much faster than the meso can keep up with. It already cant keep up since its reg but it would get worse. The gear scaling would be much steeper if they lvl more quickly. Perhaps now they can get away with just paying nexon for cubes while using meso farmed for reseting pots. But the meso farmed might not be enough anymore to cube their items and they might have to buy meso as well to keep up with how fast they lvl up
@@BravoBrakas I'm certain the OP isn't talking about exp rates. It's obviously about cube rates and how many cubes and how much money you need to throw into the game to progress as opposed to Reboot. Imagine spending $1500 to buy Serene Emblem from someone else.
I came from RuneScape and I started playing about a week ago on a hyper burn character. Been having a ton of fun but I’m glad I saw this video before I got too invested because this is insane lol. The exp rates are already so slow I can’t imagine a single good reason for nerfing them. RIP Maplestory
Haha I’m nearly maxed in OSRS on an Ironman. I’d say keep playing as long as you’re having fun. 250 burning is akin to a fast 99. It’s just sad to see a development team seem to dislike part of its player base. This is especially apparent knowing how good RuneScape is cared for by it’s current development team
New player who also maxed out in OSRS, not sure If i should hit up Reboot NA or Bera, any suggestions? Planning to max and play long term, have a decent income and time investment.@@JamoosinYT
@@JamoosinYT It hurts a bit for me since I grew up playing a bit of MS and OSRS and obviously I never progressed far since I was a kid, and didnt know how to play the game, but the way the Runescape redeemed itself, just made me that much more dissapointed in Nexon's handling of Maplestory. I just wish that so much progression wasnt luck based and was much more social. Grinding in a map solo for hours just doesnt appeal much to me but doing monster carnival did lmao, cuz at least I would be talking to people a lot.
I dont really mind the lvl260+ exp nerf because we are sac gated anyways, what I hate the most is the fact that these nerfs clearly aim at fresh accounts starting on reboot to discourage players migrating from reg to kms reboot. This is such a cheap and lazy move to balance the game.
As someone in the 270+ bracket you nailed it, we're getting absolutely fucked. There's already a term going around amongst the hardcore end gamers I know (Im talking people clearing kalos with more then 1 char and/or multiple liberations type hardcore) and its "legacy exp".
One thing I keep suggestion, but to no avail, is making Quest Dialogue and all Cut scene Skip-able. This would make so many Quest line so much more bare-able. Cheers.
It's worth noting that, the further past 270+ you go, the better the rates will be comparatively - the new regions with increased spawn caps and better base EXP will reduce that -41%. I heard the delta EXP loss for 285+ at carcion is even under -10% compared to Reboot's Odium. Not that it helps the 270-285 players much, but.. it's something.
Going off of just speculation from what I remember hearing, and no I didnt thoroughly get the full story so I could be wrong. TL;DR KMS makes 10x more money then any region besides China (still 3x as much as China revenue,) KMS players move to KMS Reboot, Nexon loses cube sales and nerfs reboot to try and bring players back A KMS streamer made a huge wave apparently by moving to Reboot and showing their progress, people were surprised by this and there was a mass move from KMS to KMS Reboot. Reboot doesnt make as much money, mostly from Cube sales which can be bought via Mesos in Reboot. Given that I believe Coppersan did a video that said NA / Europe Servers made up about 6% of revenue while Korea made up 66% of the revenue across their games, it shows considerably how heavy handed it is that Korea gets all the resources. Instead of trying to find ways to improve Reg Servers, they have been consistently tossing ideas to what feels like nerfing Reboot servers so players are more incentivized to go back or stay in Reg servers over reboot. The Star Force and Normal monster rates showcases this more, the main selling point of Reboot imo, was on launch that even though you couldnt trade equips at all, it improved solo progression on top of removing P2W by allowing players to grind for everything themselves with Mesos and giving them the Reboot Final Damage buffs to help them keep up with the inflated Monster HP/EXP rates.
you know what would make the game more fun? actual up to date guides on quests, so new players like myself don't have to spend hours trying to find a stupid Snow flower for example, and then finds out its not needed for the quest line. Also, a warning for event "rewards" should have a "time-limited" warning before opening. and exp growth potions warning for burning characters. I've wasted so much "rewards" that I'm just sad .
I suffered from the exp potions not usable on burning characters too, but on the bright side, some of that can be recovered with a timely ticket. If you haven't used those potions on other characters at least.
Bruh I was gonna say the same thing I started playing a week ago and just trying to find basic information about the game is impossible. There’s hardly any guides for new players on RUclips either
Are the KMS nerfs confirmed coming to GMS? KMS and GMS are separate enough that they might not put those changes in place right? If they make the 260+ grind that much worse... We're gonna see a not insignificant number of people quitting I think.
Yes they are separate. Will they make an exception for GMS? I wouldn’t count on it. The updates generally get translated and ported straight from KMS. This is how other creators talk about events/class changes/major content several months in advance.
@@JamoosinYTwhile it has been exceedingly rare and I wouldn't rely on it, we've seen GMS not get updates KMS recieves at times. Never really a big one to this extent though.
The thing that really isn't talked about is that to Nexon, *all* of GMS is an insignificant number of people. GMS's population is a twinkle in the eye of KMS's population
I started not long ago in reboot i have only Mercedes and Evan lv 75 ( something told me to stop playing ) what these means then? If your new you should go to Bera preferably?? Like wasnt the reboot benefit more exp more hp on mobs without that is it worth it if your new?
The main reason to play reboot is a lot of the paid for progression systems are earned via gameplay such as cubing and flames. If you plan on not spending then I would recommend Reboot still
You’re right! I was under the impression it would be for the full clear (not the case), but looked through patch notes and arms/heads for Zakum/cht goes to zero. My bad
i think this is going tobe a huge problem to the player base , i just come back to maple story on a fresh account on reboot and for me i think this is going to be a huge wall to over come to reach 240 atleast . not to mention i got legion or link skill done yet. i think i need to start grinding alts asap before the nerf comes to EU
Its simple, nexon wants us to play in the server that requires us to spend money. Therefore, they're making sure that we have a worse experience without touching the experience of the whale's server. If they're actually trying to develop a good game experience with long-term strategies, they'd make MORE reboot servers and focus on cosmetics and improving systems. A battle pass or make up system such as the one that is going on currently for 6th star could work. Or the vaccuum pet with the 14 dollars/month renwal can also work. There are many ways that they could go about monetizing that doesn't include making the game a slot machine (looking at you paid potential/b-potential cubes). But they're coorporate, they are souless and they don't seem to be able to think about the future of a game that's been going on for literally 18 years. You'd think that after 18 years they'd want their game to go on for another 18 years or beyond, which is cheaper than creating the next great thing. But no, they are making sure to shaft us out. There are MANY games with better graphics, better mechanics and less pay to win content than maplestory regular servers, so why should we play a game that was designed to milk us out of our money instead of giving us fun? FF14, Black Desert Online and heck, even WoW does monetization better than maplestory while providing more modern systems (except for WoW). Nexon won't change their ways while we have giga whales on regular servers. As you pointed out, if anything, they should make regular servers more like reboot, not the other way around. It's gonna be hell leveling new characters. I've just returned to maplestory after a 5 years break from the game, used to be somewhat of a little whale there and I have decided that I'll only play if it's in reboot, fresh account, now I just feel like returning to Black desert online and OW2 while ignoring maplestory again. Creating a barrier for new/existing players is NOT a recipe for a successful business Nexon. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. Have a great day.
I think people may overlook something on Gear Progression as well Cra and Abso set requires multiple weeks to obtain, not to mention Arcane itself it's a nightmare to obtain without via Event etc. Main concern? We are all zooming levels to 260 which makes this gear gating to progression.
True. I've recently caught up to where I was on my main from reg server after starting over in reboot, but that is only because of hyper burning and the sixth star first chapter rewards getting me the early cra gear and AU weapon and the massive amount of arcane symbols, which allowed me to solo normal lomien. Without all that however, hitting the point of killing even just cra is so much slower. AU... well that is something that feels a bit to limiting in reboot right now. Might be cause the population in EU isn't high enough, but I'm struggling to find a nLucid party. Also star forcing is so expensive early on when you still don't have good meso gear and need to rely on boss crystals.
I started not too recently getting back into the game on a new account. All of the new stuff is a little overwhelming but it socks to know now that I need to get my alts higher up up now rather than later for legion before these changes go live
the problem is that you have these absolute weirdos that turn this into a war between reg server players vs reboot players. so many reg server players are cheering nexon so that they can feel better about their server choice. on the other hand plenty of reboot players advocate for totems getting removed and shit. its like the 12 year olds in console wars.
@@aoiwdh I hope they realize a large amount of those players wouldn't even be playing anymore if not for reboot. I can imagine a day where everyone leaves reboot when it becomes too restrictive and the only one who plays MS anymore is the one giga-whale in reg server spending his father's inheritance.
I just want to point out few subtleties. I know some ppl might do this manually still, but 1-200 is made to be almost nonexistant nowdays, the biggest problem would be 1-100, on gms 100-140 is the most freee thing, then you start using advantage of bonk events to passively get ur characters to 200. When new age comes there will also be this cracked event where u can take ur character 10-100 in few minutes and it's for many characters, then they are tera burned and there were also starwberry farm-like events, which make u lvl 1-200 under an hour and you can say hey, but those are events. Those would probably become the standard tho and if you're not taking advantage of events in maple then what are you doing. That's just regarding the bit about leveling legion.
I just don’t understand why this needed to happen, regular server and reboot and 2 separate things. So it doesn’t matter how much we progress is reboot it wont affect any ( leaderboard on regular server) so the exp nerf makes no sense lol
What do you think about the news that some QoL changes (perm 2nd pendant slot, DEF line removal) are not coming to GMS? I mean from a developer point of view, it does not take much to implement these changes, especially given that they have gone quite the distance to decimate a lot of contents and even out right deleted a class. Surely this is because they want to hamper GMS? The reason they gave is absolutely BS.
Similarly, I think it’s very poor decision making and short sighted. Those are quality of life changes that should be added regardless. Adding lines like DEF and making gear slots have a cost are conscious development decisions that benefit no one, except for Nexon. You don’t accidentally decide to develop non value add features. I’m less concerned by the omission itself (our experience doesn’t change), but very concerned about how the game developers view their player base.
Another factor that I didn't see mentioned that much is that reg servers have Totems and 2x exp coupons they can buy from the cash shop but I haven't seen that they will be implemented for reboot, so that will just push reg servers to being significantly better for exp than reboot
They nerf because of their reg servers (Korean Maplestory), we (Global Maplestory) alr have the item before any of this and you copers are so shallow by looking at gms regs and say unfair because of kms changes? Really?
I read nothing about totems on regular service and those burning rings whatever they are called. Huge impact on leveling as well right, reboot doesnt have those. The scale will tip over again, just towards the other side this time?
Quite honestly I am going to quit this game for good once I complete the lv260 hyper burn to experience 6th job. I know, you have seen this statement once you have seen them all. I am just tired of Reboot players and GMS being treated like second class citizens. I am tired of seeing people at the helm of this game knowing nothing about proper monetization and treats this as a Reg vs Reboot war again and again as if reboot was a mistake that they made years ago. I think it's time for me to grow up and let go of the nostalgia. This is just a rant and its not about the exp nerf specifically, just really tired of this. The game is supposed to be fun but the nerfs have consistently chipped at the fun factor till its now exhausting.
I’ve said this in other areas before, but my criteria for playing a game is if I’m having fun I’ll continue. As soon as that stops, stop playing. That could be for the day or for longer. It doesn’t mean you can never come back, but it could mean you move on to something else. Whatever you do. Don’t do something in your free time that you don’t enjoy. Wish you the best whatever you decide to do!
@@JamoosinYT U wrong anyway, it doesn't even matter if you are getting fun or not. Is that KMS fucked up all reboot servers around the world to force people don't merge reg to reboot and some reboot ppl merge to reg instead too. So is just have 1 iq and know that NEXON is just a trash company that doesn't care about people at all. The big problem with this is that ppl never do anything about it and no matter what NEXON does, people still supporting this trash company. Garbage, garbage and g444rbage game.
no clue why they think regular and reboot is has the same growth path , one of them has totems , burning rings etc and one of them is gated by bosses until growth cray to me
(100-200 range only) While what you said is true, you neglected the entire hp difference and how that affects the overall gameplay and planing for new characters… 6-9 hits to kill mobs is unfun, and that is with burning free gear .. normal server with no gear progression is way easier and fun imo.
You’re right I didn’t really talk about the hp in depth. You’ll feel more powerful immediately in Regular, but reboot you are rewarded by progressing into that same level of power starting out later. The high hp is rewarded with more xp, so number of hits isn’t that crazy. I think if people enjoy regular server that’s great! I just don’t think feedback from that game should impact Reboot
You outgrow those amount of hits with the burning gear very fast though. The first couple of characters are like that, but once you have a few links, if you avoid going for higher levelled mobs, you get easily enough within 2-hit range on most classes. There are some exceptions that suck quite hard like mechanic, but aside from those it's fine. The start is very harsh though, reboot, maple in general really, isn't very newbie friendly.
@Feanor1988bis im definitely not the best to be talking bout this since i dont really have "high" legion, but im at 2k , and all the characters feel like a imense chore after 140 unless i decide to invest between 500m-1.6b on every one of them .-. (i also know i could do 1-70, then 70-140, then the rest, but i really dislike this mindset and just puts more and more annoyance in my gaming life >_> ) i can see how having stocked funds such as legions coins/cubes/buffs could drastically lower this, but imo this shouldn't ever have happened as its just cancer to invest on a character you barely have any intention to strive for. with the new change you're getting a more forgiving and pain free experience between those levels while promoting more "burst" play sessions rather than long hours on a day, which in my opinion does make for a better gaming experience...
@@ErrNameNotFound I understand what you mean. Right now, being low legion, just above 3k, I tend to avoid going beyond 140, but I've just taken Khali up beyond 200 and it wasn't too bad thanks to the free cra, that helps really a lot, and the early boss clears help with gear and mesos. Getting lucky with boss drops does make a massive difference though, I felt it very much when I dropped stuff with good flames, not only for accessories but also armor like from hilla and von leon. Still, this hurdle that is level 140-200 could easily be fixed by making the boss set accessories drop more often and giving more mesos from monsters so you can keep up with the star force needs. Maybe a few more occult cubes and potential scroll. Those will never make you op anyway and are instead kinda needed for those levels. Btw, if you get unlucky with boss drops, you can get a set of accessories from the new leaf city questline. It's kind of annoying because some of the maps are really bad, but it will help in a pinch. 3k legion is also a big increase in power, you go from 12 to 18 character slots and unlock one more row of crit rate and damage. It helps a lot.
Bruh I started late August and I already think it's slow, sad. I can't even imagine leveling without burning but also Lv70-100 is really annoying when I wanted to get Lv2 link skills and legion. 100-140 was decent enough but you gotta do it on so many characters.
@@manchlaxlaxo7899 it still got doubled from what it was for years and years. still feels like shit. also feels super shit having legacy players around that didnt have these issues so it creates a whole load of imbalance.
@@manchlaxlaxo7899 Wait, you can't play reboot? Or you CHOOSE not to play it because you love the benefits of reg server, but want reboot players to suffer on the one thing they get that's better for them?
@@Drillbitayler Here we have a wild specimen of a reboot player who doesn't want to acknowledge their server is overbuffed. The concept of buffing the exp as a result of overbuffing the mob's hp came from a time when players were not dealing as much damage as they are dealing now. With how things are right now, reboot players are simply getting an extra EXP buff for no good reason. If you can't see why that's broken, well, that's on you.
@@manchlaxlaxo7899 I have 5k legion on both servers. Have lvl 250+ characters on both servers. Spent many more thousands than I care to admit on reg server. So I'm probably more impartial than anyone else posting here. As long as you are and all the other reg server players are willing to give up the 2x exp coupons from the cash shop, as well as give up all totems, then sure, let's nerf reboots exp. OR, you know, people could try and build up both servers, instead of trying to tear them down. Like, Nexon could ADD totems for reboot, and add 2x exp buffs for our cash shop, and then things would truly be equal. OR, instead of nerfing reboot EXP, they could just buff reg server EXP. It's so funny that no-one on reg server was pushing for that. They'd rather tear down a different community than build up their own. I've never seen a single reboot player care about what goes on in reg server, even if they 10x'd the reg EXP. But reg cares a helluva lot about other poeples playing experience, which is pretty scummy.
Nexon is tripping if they want to keep a limited amount of servers while every map is full. Its just gonna drive new/returning players away. Why should i waste my time trying to find a map when i can just play anything else?
Its funny how Nexon just fucks their playerbase, while other game companies like Ankama (Dofus, Wakfu, Dofus touch etc) just make QoL buffs for everyone each patch lmao
id love to just hit the real game start which is 200+ with aracane river content... like ffs its so bad with low exp and now with nerf to it is even worse like why.
And why does NA have to follow this change? Two different regions and KMS players can voice their opinions all they want but stays on their lanes. In case NA is a clueless Indie’s company but the majority of the players play on Reboot and we do spent money on the cashop as well. This change will only impact negatively and proves Nexon is out of touch if they actually follows KMS changes 🤦♂️
Because GMS just copy pastes KMS for the most part, are you new to the game? GMS is not willing to do anything on their own anymore, its the main reason Jett got removed. You dont have to be a rocket scientist to understand this.
Not defending Nexon's action, but I feel like the nerf for 260+ players might not be as bad as what is shown in the video since: 1. With hp nerf you can train at higher SAC areas earlier, which will slightly compensate for the exp loss 2. You will be able to acquire SAC faster, which will further accelerate how fast you can move to higher SAC areas and unlock endgame bosses (seren+) But I'm also not too sure lol, hopefully these changes don't make reboot a lot worse
The fundamental problem is that the players of the Reboot server have long since deviated from the original intention of the server. This server was set up from the beginning to prevent RMT and P2W behavior, but now it has become a choice to play because it has more experience than regular servers, which is obviously problematic.
It’s really all up to perspective. Back in the day it took 2 months to get 2-3 levels and people still enjoyed the game for what it was. When reboot removed totems new players can join the server and still easily make it to end game if they put in the time. If anything the endgame content doesn’t look as epic as it once did. At least when the first Black mage clears were done everyone knew about it and it was a big accomplishment, nowadays no one really cares about who is clearing Kalos/Kaling. Everyone just wants to be endgame as fast as possible to eventually sit in town with nothing to do.
I completely disagree that because it was harder in the past means that we nerf the rates of what people are enjoying now. Why should someone who play Reboot care about the opinions of people who play what is effectively a different game with a different player base. Reboot is being made worse through a very shortsighted answer to those players issues. Imagine when MapleStory M catches up everyone starts complaining about the insane rates they get by afk auto training. Who cares? I will never understand the perspective of people who are upset by the end game being achievable by more players. It’s so unobtainable even at the current Reboot rates, anything that gets more people there and enjoying the game for that long is a huge positive. Don’t gate keep content. The game already takes hundreds if not a couple thousand hours.
well because BM was the big bad guy for mapleworld, kalos and karling are under Damoor so i''d imagine people would be more interested when theres a pt clearing damoor for the 1st time.
@@JamoosinYT First of all I have no issue with endgame being obtainable and oversaturated. My statement is endgame boss clears feel less epic now than they were before which everyone can agree with. Back in the day communities and guilds would chat about it, and now a days people are so obsessed with getting endgame and complain over every little inconvenience. Are you going to quit now that reboot is nerfed or complain constantly? Even little things like buying a hyper rock for 25m instead of $10 usd every other week make me grateful playing in reboot. Clearing ursus for 100m brings me joy. Reboot is so easy in 2023 that they could nerf so many things and I’d still appreciate other aspects of it. I’m grateful to have shinning starforce and familiars. Hyper burn and final dmg buffs. What about the permanent buff freezers coming? So many things to appreciate instead of being negative over little things.
That makes sense. It was your last sentence that made me think that. I agree with what you’re saying there. Not at all. While I dislike Nexon’s decision and think its a poor one, I still am having fun playing the game which is my only requirement to keep playing. I do appreciate those things, but those aspects of reboot don’t make the decision to nerf Reboot any better. Let’s not rationalize Nexon’s poor choices
Agree to disagree for abit but I feel that this change does not drastically gatekeep content for current 260+ players. Especially since Grandis areas/ bosses are all going to drop in levels by 5. Coupled with the HP/FD changes, the requirements for most bosses will also drop by 5. Basically the progression rate to reach the next content will be roughly similar. That being said, I would obviously have preferred they drop the level requirements for grandis content while retaining the higher exp 😂
reboot players dont have to spend a single cent irl to be geared into end game. and that’s all that should matter. the whole idea of reboot was to create a server for players to be able to progress in the game without spending exorbitant amounts like regular server players do. the exp and hp rates should have been the same as reg from the get go so why they only decided to do this now baffles me. reboot will be fine as long as they dont mess with the meso rates.
please look at the exp changes properly and remake this video.... you're causing a mad doompost fest with this, the changes at 260-275+ whatever are only a real loss if u farm like 1 or 2 waps a day, it gets offset by the level curve reduction and daily exp increase. please stop spreading missinformation without inlcuding even half the details
I do talk about daily xp buffs and how it’s offset. Daily xp buffs at the beginning of 200+ and the offset in the tables. How is this a doom post? I’m pretty fair for everything. No the daily xp buffs that would take you months to get one level are not offset by losses to training unless you were to some reason only do dailies. It’s a significant slowdown in leveling. Grinding is an essential part to progression especially with 6th job coming. Also, the updates everyone talks about would come to the game regardless. However, reboot is also getting nerfed on top of that. It’s not like they made those changes to compensate for the loss in xp.
@@JamoosinYT have you read anything i wrote at all? you said 260+ is a big fuck you from nexon, you literally gain more exp if u farm less than 2 waps a day and do your dailies, look at the changes made and come back again, the daily exp change alone is a gigantic buff to casual players along with the 260 hyperburn incoming during newage. the new grandis maps are literally 10%~ worse than current odium rates along with map hourly kill rates jumping from 17-18k to 20.3k or smth allowing for a solid like 730-800m/h to be farmed depending on class and ia which is absolutely insane considering the fact that we got kms sf cost now and shiny starforce. idk bout you but that sounds like complete doompost to me and many others and spreading that information whilat ignoring VITAL PARTS is just bad as a content creator
just to add on, your average mapler doesnt even farm 30minutes a day outside of dailies on their main lmao, idk much on you but i don't see a part where this would affect you alot either, you'd rather gain from it from what i can see
@@unoriginal7276 I’m not saying it’s bad at all. In fact I explicitly say it’s a good thing. Also, your average mapler isn’t 260+, and the ones that are definitely train, at least the majority of people I play with do
@@JamoosinYT the average mapler nowadays is between 245-260 due to hyper burn and only to inflate in levels with newage to come, the people you mention that "farm" are part of a very small group in the game, dailies are going to be absolutely nuts with new age, at 260 they currently give approx 5%/day which will become over double soon enough, on top of that they are reducing the sac requirements and level requirements for the grandis 260+ maps with bernium also being unlocked at 260 giving EVEN MORE daily exp to top it off. the way you portrayed the changes made it seem like it's absolutely ass and therefore causing a mass doompost from the community being led by false information. The ability to passively level your main and changes to the daily AF pqs going to weekly is a tremendous change in the meta of the game allowing for more time efficient buildup of bossing mules or 2nd mains, I personally will be affected by this issue as I farm at end game stages and will be farming more than 2waps a day once the change comes around to progress 6th job, but as you said, farming will be a vital thing with 6th job coming around, I am not 100% sure on what the exact requirements are, but what I do know is there we'll be mostly gated on the sol fragments and MOST LIKELY 75-85% of the 260+ players won't be farming 4 hours a day for the exp changes to monsters to be nerf to them due to the vast amounts of exp they will gain from dailies.
Boost regular is bullshit. Reboot player just don't care the consequences of regular if that happen. Regular want the pace to remain steady instead of sudden boost because we don't want risk of unexpected due to sudden fast pace. Both are going so distinct way that you can say just coincidence to be same name of two different game. In general, fair to say from both POV: Regular: Don't touch me Reboot: Don't touch me Both are equally ignorant if you ask me. Creation of Reboot is a mistake from start, but already happened. The war between who pay the most and who play the most. We all know Nexon doesn't work for charity. P/s: I'm not a whale in regular, but even so, I also prefer to remain untouched.
What do you mean? Regular server gets buffed with hefty reductions in experience required to level. Reboot gets this then loses its current structure and ends up nerfed heavily across the board. Creation of reboot is a mistake? How deluded are people. It’s the only reason some people play MapleStory at all especially in GMS. More players drawn to MapleStory of any kind is good for the game. I understand some people like Regular server. I have nothing against those people. Just don’t make decisions for a different game because those players are unhappy. The changes to reboot are solely based on Regular server people unhappy with their progression when compared to Reboot.
@@JamoosinYTcreation of reboot is a mistake from Nexon’s POV, not the players’. Besides, the amount of money that GMS generates for nexon is so little that they are probably willing to take the risk. IIRC its only 7% that GMS generates, could be wrong as im taking the number from memory. and while 7% isn’t negligible, it surely isn’t big enough to outweigh the voices of the KMS spenders
Sadly speaking many reboot complain video talking from gamer POV. 1. Well you can make demand and request, its up to you. But also keep in mind that realistically speaking the whole world not gonna centering you during rotating, at least the world is still capitalism and Nexon doesn't work for charity. This is harsh truth to swallow. Reboot doesn't pay them as much as Regular does, period. 2. Also up to developer to make changes it if it touched their profit (that's why I say creation of Reboot is their stupid move in first place, which afterward become a giant rock that slam on their own feet after years) I not saying that Rebooter deserve it or what, basically nobody deserve it, it's Nexon mistake in first place, the so called "buff regular" looks a big win to each party actually not at all, from a regular server player POV. Your complaining and whining honestly doesn't help at all, accept it and pain for once for all I would say. 3. The murica is printing money with FED, so we rest of the world should printing money too? you see what's going on here? My fking conclusion: be realistic, solving problem doesn't mean u will get perfect satisfying answer, that is merely selfish demand from single side. Go fk Nexon in your sleep, don't touch us regular server.
as a reg server player, my response was 'so instead of making reg players feel better your just gonna make reboot feel worse'.
But then they wouldn't earn as much if they made regular better.

Glad i quit this garbage game in 2015
I came from RuneScape and I started playing about a week ago on a hyper burn character.
Grinding in a map solo for hours just doesnt appeal much to me but doing monster carnival did lmao, cuz at least I would be talking to people a lot.
great video thank you. im ready to quit when the nerf arrives
The only way to truly influence Nexon. Have fun liberating from MapleStory

@@AOKBinaryyou are very smart! (Not sarcastic, i really mean it)
I dont really mind the lvl260+ exp nerf because we are sac gated anyways, what I hate the most is the fact that these nerfs clearly aim at fresh accounts starting on reboot to discourage players migrating from reg to kms reboot.
Great video as always. Thanks for breaking it down for us that need it.
Yo it's that popular Sniper player from Risk of Rain 1!
One thing I keep suggestion, but to no avail, is making Quest Dialogue and all Cut scene Skip-able. This would make so many Quest line so much more bare-able. Cheers.
Some questlines are like 25% unskippable cutscenes and my eyes roll into the back of my head everytime I do one of them.
That would be nice for lower levels but aside from that it doesn't really do anything past level like 160
It's worth noting that, the further past 270+ you go, the better the rates will be comparatively - the new regions with increased spawn caps and better base EXP will reduce that -41%. I heard the delta EXP loss for 285+ at carcion is even under -10% compared to Reboot's Odium.
Not that it helps the 270-285 players much, but.. it's something.
Great video my dude, keep it up and I’ll keep on Maple’in
Going off of just speculation from what I remember hearing, and no I didnt thoroughly get the full story so I could be wrong.
TL;DR KMS makes 10x more money then any region besides China (still 3x as much as China revenue,) KMS players move to KMS Reboot, Nexon loses cube sales and nerfs reboot to try and bring players back
A KMS streamer made a huge wave apparently by moving to Reboot and showing their progress, people were surprised by this and there was a mass move from KMS to KMS Reboot.
Good video i finally understant whats going on, lets hope they implement some changes
you know what would make the game more fun? actual up to date guides on quests, so new players like myself don't have to spend hours trying to find a stupid Snow flower for example, and then finds out its not needed for the quest line.
The exp growth potions do say not usable on hyper burning characters and the legion potions do say that you cant use them past a certain point
@@o7Pabo but the coupons do not say burning characters won't be able to use the potions, so you may very well end up selecting ones that are useless.

They are recently trying to make GMS the same as KMS. Look at all the stuff they are removing lol
@trevinisnivert9 but that's not even correct, kms has around 300k players while global has 220k, its not that big of a difference

Nice engagement on the video
I’m a MapleSEA player…just enjoying the drama and popcorn (while crying cause we don’t have the numbers to make reboot) 😂😂😂.

I think people may overlook something on Gear Progression as well
Cra and Abso set requires multiple weeks to obtain, not to mention Arcane itself it's a nightmare to obtain without via Event etc.
Just play at a pace that is fun for you. It’s a game not work!
Also, the New Age update is months away
I think players should protest this by all moving to reboot and not spending a dime on anything. Let the whales have their lonely servers.
the problem is that you have these absolute weirdos that turn this into a war between reg server players vs reboot players. so many reg server players are cheering nexon so that they can feel better about their server choice. on the other hand plenty of reboot players advocate for totems getting removed and shit. its like the 12 year olds in console wars.
A lot of KMS players moved to reboot, and nexon's profit dropped. So they blocked character creation in KMS reboot lol
@@aoiwdh Wait, they actually blocked it? Whaaaat
@@gabbyk1391 yup KMS reboot character creation was blocked when threy mass moved servers and then blocked again for hyperburn

Amazing video!
That's just regarding the bit about leveling legion.
so what about monster hp should be lower right to orginal values to new ones in comparison
Yes the hp will revert back making it easier to 1 hit mobs
Wait, are we really not getting the few actually good changes?
I think he mentioned nerf not buffs
Similarly, I think it’s very poor decision making and short sighted.
Those are quality of life changes that should be added regardless. Adding lines like DEF and making gear slots have a cost are conscious development decisions that benefit no one, except for Nexon. You don’t accidentally decide to develop non value add features.
I’m less concerned by the omission itself (our experience doesn’t change), but very concerned about how the game developers view their player base.
This guy maples.
The big problem with this is that ppl never do anything about it and no matter what NEXON does, people still supporting this trash company. Garbage, garbage and g444rbage game.
no clue why they think regular and reboot is has the same growth path , one of them has totems , burning rings etc and one of them is gated by bosses until growth cray to me
YAY KSING IS BACK!
There's always AriesMS
Anyone know if dailies and Monster Park will continue giving the same EXP even after the level adjustment?
All dailies across the board are getting improved
(i also know i could do 1-70, then 70-140, then the rest, but i really dislike this mindset and just puts more and more annoyance in my gaming life >_> )
i can see how having stocked funds such as legions coins/cubes/buffs could drastically lower this, but imo this shouldn't ever have happened as its just cancer to invest on a character you barely have any intention to strive for.
with the new change you're getting a more forgiving and pain free experience between those levels while promoting more "burst" play sessions rather than long hours on a day, which in my opinion does make for a better gaming experience...
They only did this cause of the recent switch from Korean regular server players to reboot Korean servers

But reg cares a helluva lot about other poeples playing experience, which is pretty scummy.
the meta will just shift to getting to 141, and then just bonking them
Nexon is tripping if they want to keep a limited amount of servers while every map is full.

Boy ain’t nobody doing PQ. Time for reboot players to meet there maker. Come spend that money lol
Not defending Nexon's action, but I feel like the nerf for 260+ players might not be as bad as what is shown in the video since:
1. With hp nerf you can train at higher SAC areas earlier, which will slightly compensate for the exp loss
2. You will be able to acquire SAC faster, which will further accelerate how fast you can move to higher SAC areas and unlock endgame bosses (seren+)
But I'm also not too sure lol, hopefully these changes don't make reboot a lot worse
That being said, I would obviously have preferred they drop the level requirements for grandis content while retaining the higher exp 😂
reboot players always seem to be the first to complain lol
Well when you are only receiving buffs and are complacent with predatory monetization I can see why Regular server players are less vocal
im also a reboot player i don't play reg lul! game is f2p we should stop complain@@JamoosinYT
reboot players dont have to spend a single cent irl to be geared into end game. and that’s all that should matter.
the whole idea of reboot was to create a server for players to be able to progress in the game without spending exorbitant amounts like regular server players do. the exp and hp rates should have been the same as reg from the get go so why they only decided to do this now baffles me.
reboot will be fine as long as they dont mess with the meso rates.
no reboot no problem xD

please look at the exp changes properly and remake this video.... you're causing a mad doompost fest with this, the changes at 260-275+ whatever are only a real loss if u farm like 1 or 2 waps a day, it gets offset by the level curve reduction and daily exp increase. please stop spreading missinformation without inlcuding even half the details
In general, fair to say from both POV:
Regular: Don't touch me
Reboot: Don't touch me
Both are equally ignorant if you ask me.
Calling reboot a mistake is such a retarded take lmao. This game would be completely fucking dead on GMS if reboot didn't exist
@@manchlaxlaxo7899 sadly, this is a discussion about a good game and not about making nexon as much money as possible
2. Also up to developer to make changes it if it touched their profit (that's why I say creation of Reboot is their stupid move in first place, which afterward become a giant rock that slam on their own feet after years)
I not saying that Rebooter deserve it or what, basically nobody deserve it, it's Nexon mistake in first place, the so called "buff regular" looks a big win to each party actually not at all, from a regular server player POV.
Go fk Nexon in your sleep, don't touch us regular server.
glad that the nerf is coming
