Awesome video man! Even as a dedicated Lee main I learned some stuff from this video! Some fun extras I'd add is that Lee's punch parry is very good (b1+2), and there are some really consistent setups for it, and they are super useful because of Lee's lack of true + frames on block using parries can make people respect your moves more than usual if they are fond of jabbing when you are negative. The best parry setups I have found are 4,3,4 into parry, it is -9 on block so if they are really mashing out the jabs it won't work, but it has a deceptively short block stun meaning against most opponents it will work, wr3 into parry, due to the similarity in animation to hopknee a lot of people will try to punish this, but it is safe at -9, in most scenarios just doing the full wr3,4 is better, but sometimes this can be useful to finish off a very defensive opponent, HMS1+2, a lot of people like to jab after this to try and take their turn back after blocking your safest mid from hitman, so this is a very consistent time to punch parry. You also get good options after parry, if you hit 4 quickly you get a garunteed follow up but with the lowest damage of his options, it does however launch on CH so if your opponent is trying to cheese the parry by dickjabbing after it you can blow them up with this, I say you should always use this on your first parry in a match and see what the opponent does, because if they just stand there and take it, 2,2,3 will work for high damage but can be ducked, and if they duck you can use df3,2,3 for a full launch, and as I mentioned earlier, using the built in 4 after the parry will CH launch them if they are trying to dickjab. Great video, and hopefully this helps someone out!
so, hms 4 is reactable and launch punishable, d44u3 can be jabbed out of the air, d443 is punishable. so if youre playing against someone who is actually good at the game or know the counter to these moves, you can be punished heavily. otherwise good stuff, just watch out when playing against people who know : )
I've basically never seen anyone punish 4,3 because they're too afraid of the extension, and I don't think 4u3 is reliably reactable unless you're not mixing it with other 4 strings or the opponent is on speed. It's still of course a bit of a risk, like a lot of Tekken, but the only time I've been jabbed out of the air is against people who know Lee and I was playing on autopilot, basically using that every time. Sidestep right out of the summersault is probably more dangerous for Lee, because the opponent opens him or herself up less, but don't tell anyone
Legit everything I do with him...only other thing I could possibly think to add (but is very tricky to time properly) are mix ups from waxing crescent, iwr 3, 4. Instead of going for wr2,3 mix up for slide? I'll sneak that in now and then ;) Wonderful to see you back in the groove mane.
d+2 is a much better reset option for that situation that you might want to try. It can still lead to pressure even when the opponent techs. I feel like the whole b+3,3 momentum reset happened because of a new generation of Tekken players that thought it was new, when it goes back to at least 6.0 (it was d/f+4, f+4,3 B! reset in 6.0, and then more functionally using d+2 from 6:BR and onwards). d+2 for the momentum reset is more damage and also allows you to generally stay at a frame advantage on whiff. The frames depend on when relative to their tech window you do it, but I think my old testing showed between -2 and +6 or more (u/f+4 beating opponent Lee i10 WS+3... this testing was before the frame data addition, so I cannot comment on the full range for certain). So with semi-decent timing (at least within the better 3-4 frames of d+2 timing), you can still CH fish vs. their tech there even on d+2 whiff, or go for a safer mid. *Note: I just remembered they did some dumb rework of tech rolls in the most recent patch. That might change the frames on d+2 whiff vs. tech, but it would still be a more advantageous option than b+3,3 in any case.
Hate that Somersault from both Lee and Law from 4~uf+4 are actually plus. This is so deceptive considering most somersault moves are launch punishable. C’mon Bamco make your moves consistent please lol
Lee players are a different breed. What an underappreciated video! Amazing stuff - thank you.

Decided to pick up Lee 2 days ago, been really struggling, currently putting into practice what this video shows, thank you this is just what I needed
Great to hear! Lee is a difficult character to play but I think he is the most rewarding because of that.
Wow this opened up to whole new possibilites. Excellent.
DUDE that sway into ws tipp? Thank you so much for showing that! i was struggling so hard doing WS2, 3 during a combo.. this makes it so much easier

Thanks, I shall take these tips on board and practice!
Glad it was helpful!
Secretly adds to favorite, excellent
i'm new player tekken 7 and I can quite understand this. Thanks, quite easy to understand content
Man!! This was incredibly helpful
great video thanks! also whats the song used in this video?

I definitely feel like I took a Lee vacation but it feels good to be back!
Oh shit that's me at 2:32 and 4:26!
ggs tho.
Omg finally!
Thank you for your patience! :)
Its like watching myself play but executions way better 😅
i love you.
run up hm4 is just too funny hahaha
This didn't work that good for me as an controller player.
B33 reset barely works tbh

It is incredible that there are high level players that still eat this trap too.
whiff hitman 4 into ws launcher what kind of awful tip is that
