I love Seiko, Grand Seiko and Credor but you hit the nail on the head with this Credor! If thinness was their concern there are plenty of hand wind only spring drive movements from Grand Seiko that they could have used. On top of that, even with one of those movements it should be priced at sub $10K USD
Orient pulling a Seiko by adding anniversary to anything and bumping the prices. Totally agree on the Credor, I hated that watch since its release. Thanks for the news!
For some reason I really like the Credor. For a Genta design it hits differently for me. Agree that the movement lets the watch down a bit, but still I dig it.
To call the Baltic a dual time is fair enough. Twelve hour bezels were more of a thing as a cheaper way to display two times when GMT movements were not so common. I think the common term for them was "Double Twelve". Thanks for your weekly updates, a video I always appreciate.
Seiko Presage does so much right but when are they gonna realize that a lot of people will never buy a 40mm plus size dress watch? If they made a 37mm enamel dial simple 3 hand it would sell like hotcakes.
About wording "water resistant" on Bambino. Writing like that adds more vintage fleur, because many older watches had almost no water resistance, but with words "water resistant" 🎉
On the Orient's, you overlooked the fact that the special LE Editions, the logo is not there, it's cursive writing only, which adds to the uniqueness of the dial... And to some extend help those with an "anti logo" attitude try and enjoy these great watches. Thanks for being my weekly Sunday watch recap show ⌚️🙌🏼
I think you are absolutely right in your criticism of Grand Seiko and Credor. Apart from the fact that the Credor is absolutely ugly in my eyes, the price-performance ratio is not right. I think the price development of many brands is dangerous for these brands. Prices can hardly be turned back without losing image. At the same time, the market is saturated and the hype of the Corona years is long gone.
Grand Seiko has been a completely different company from Seiko since 2017 (even though GS and Seiko both still use atrocious bracelets) so it really isn't a suprise a GS movement wasn't used.
Seiko's Presage Craftsmanship watches are really well made and feel premium, but the use of 6R movements is a real sore point that seriously devalues them. Watches finished on that level should not have poor movements. GS need to be careful with their pricing moving forward. They are moving upmarket too quickly, and in the luxury space, branding is extremely important and people are less interested in specs. Up to around 6.5 to 7k USD, GS offer pretty good 'value', relatively speaking. Beyond that, it is less clear what you are paying for compared to other brands with greater market recognition.
That Credor, with that movement, it's not made of stainless steel right? Right? Some folks may not care about the movement at that price, but they have probably never heard of Credor. For stainless steel at 15k I would expect a top grade movement. I'm not even that fussed about accuracy, it's the price though...
That Zenith's gorg, would make me really toss up betwen that & the Shadow if I were in the market for one right now. If Baltic made an internal bezel World Time I would be so down. The movement in the Zelos is certainly interesting, but I would rather the dual time that's come back in to stock recently That Seiko would be much better with a sub seconds rather than the 24hr indicator, you're right
I wish the Omega Seamaster Milano Cortina looked exactly like that, without the Winter Olympics caseback. Any chance that happens, anyone know of any similar watches without having to go vintage?
Not sure how easy it is to turn the internal rotating bezel of the Baltic given the integrated crown design. Though I have noticed the knurling on the bronze versions are grippier compared to the original steel versions. I will also much rather go for equivalent priced Microbrands over Seiko, Credor, or Grand Seiko given their movement specs, bracelet, QC and customer support. Hamilton needs to make a non limited release of that chrono matic😢
Like the Orient Bambino without the logo. Too bad the text "water resistant" is on the dial. Why Orient? We only needed "Orient" and "Automatic" on the dial.
Watch prices are out of control. They all seem to aim at the very wealthy demographic, and forgot that the bulk of the selling is in the middle class everyday folks.
Luxury watches are not for the middle class though. Perhaps entry level luxury ones are, especially the upper middle, but overall, no. Seiko, Tissot etc are middle class watches. The rest are 'aspirational' and are becoming further out of reach. I agree that it doesn't seem like a sustainable business model though, at least not over the long term.
That Credor is one that only their mother would love. It's so freaking ugly haha But props to Credor for greenlighting this reissue, as horrible as it might be.
Hey, man, unless You are 100% sure it will not harm You - there is some patent troll on internet, that sues another folks for using the term "NATO strap" - as far as I know, some famous watch channel youtubers got screwed by this err.. businessman. Just a word of caution.
@@spuckuk7039 Cartier's higher end movements are quite accurate though right? The mid range ones like 1847 MC movement = -3/+7, but reports vary. I've heard many stories about 10+ seconds a day being quite typical.
I think that credor is cool, different. The price, not so much. Way over priced. I don't have a problem with the movement though. I have a sje073 . Omg! A Seiko presage with a $2200 price tag. Got mine at a steep discount. Not a good seller I think. Stunning watch that is GS quality. The 6L 35 runs about plus 2 a day. It is a high quality movement. The problem is Seiko pricing?

Good watch update! I really like your commentary and insight. Cheers!
I agree with your comment about the Credor. That price tag is hefty for that movement
I really do appreciate your channel and the hard work that goes into the making of the content. Thank you, sir.
Your weekly roundup of novelties is always terrific. I don't always agree with you but that's o.k. Your comments are always very reasonable.
You are absolutely right concerning Credor. Absolutely.
Yep, enjoying coffee while I watch every Sunday. Always a good start.
Orient pulling a Seiko by adding anniversary to anything and bumping the prices. Totally agree on the Credor, I hated that watch since its release. Thanks for the news!
The enamel Presage is beautiful, I agree a small seconds would be a lot better than 24h. I’d definitely pick one up in a year or two for 30% less
For some reason I really like the Credor. For a Genta design it hits differently for me. Agree that the movement lets the watch down a bit, but still I dig it.
I dig it too even if everyone hates it!!
I like it a lot too, quirky design

Great video mate. It’s your channel so you get to express your opinion. As far as the Credor goes. WTF. Are they joking
Seiko Presage does so much right but when are they gonna realize that a lot of people will never buy a 40mm plus size dress watch? If they made a 37mm enamel dial simple 3 hand it would sell like hotcakes.
I dub the oversized Hamilton chrono “The Dark Helmet”
AWESOME VIDEO
I'd pay the extra 60 for the limited Orient only because it doesn't have the usual Orient logo.

I really like GSeiko dial but I am not sure about the price

Thx
I am with you on that observation about Seiko Presage model. Small second dial would be more useful and make watch slimer.
Gerald Genta having a bad design day with that Credor.
Already have the enamel and urushi dialed Seiko, need a porcelain dial.
that Zenith is sick, always hated that style of bracelet though

I feel bad for the purchasers of the recent Credor limited edition. With a new production model now released… That limited edition lost its shine.
That Credor, with that movement, it's not made of stainless steel right? Right?

A quesitos: are you single? (Besides these very good watch reviews /news, you are 🔥🔥😊)
I like that Credor
Watch movement is very important to me. Would anyone buy a Ferrari if it had a Toyota Camry engine for the same price as one with Ferrari engine?
I agree with you on the Credor. It's ugly and has the same movement as my SPB143 that I paid $750 USD for. Come on Seiko!
Orient Bambinos are killer deals. My Omega DeVille is definitely overpriced 😅

Not everything is meant for everyone.

Who is We with the NATO straps? Happy Sunday
Credor is truly a joke for that accuracy. 😂
That Credor watch looks like AI made it. lol.

Enjoyed your video and completely agree with you regarding Credor. High price, poor design and poor choice of a movement.
Ooof grand seiko. Yet another slightly-textured mostly white dial. Let's see Paul Allan's dial.
Keep hearing baltics customer service is garbage. Any thoughts?
Hmm best keep my mouth shut on thoughts on the Credor. 🤐🤢
I think that Credor is butt ugly. And yes putting a 6L movement in a $15K watch is just trolling.
Wait until you find out about Cartier
@@spuckuk7039 Cartier's higher end movements are quite accurate though right? The mid range ones like 1847 MC movement = -3/+7, but reports vary. I've heard many stories about 10+ seconds a day being quite typical.
15 k for that credor???? Everything about this watch is a mess, i'll get a new sub by Rolex, cheaper and mich more reliable...
I feel bad for U, 'you must be thé only one who bought it....
It's getting harder for me to want to give Seiko a dime of my hard earned money
Submariner is the most NPC watch going
Sub= beta
