- Last month Godzilla fans from across the world united at the Pickwick Theater in Chicago for an epic viewing of Godzilla: King of the Monstres. Everyone set out to make this theater-going experience bigger than Endgame. This was the result.

God I love this scene. It wasn't really made clear in the movie, but Ghidorah was bringing the storms. He was terraforming Earth to his liking, and the storms were getting worse. Like, Day After Tomorrow tier bad in some places. But the Terran Kaiju's radiation battled his terraforming. When Mothra blasted her god rays, it drove the storm of Ghidorah both literally and figuratively back. This was the first time anyone had seen the sun in days, and Mothra brought it.
The Queen of the Monsters showed the world that there was still hope, was the literal light in the darkness, and she brought glad tidings like the Goddess Guardian Angel she is.
"Do not despair my children. While the false king may sit on the throne, bring the darkness and storms, and force my kin to destroy us all, hope is not lost..."
"Because the true King still lives."

To everyone who’s annoyed at everyone cheering at the kaiju stuff, considering that this is at the Godzilla festival known as G-Fest. And that this is the first time that we get to see actual depiction of these monsters that pay tribute and homage to the original and not like the 1998 garbage Rollan Emeric gave us. I think they’re allowed to be excited for everything this movie got to do
Was KOTM perfect? no. Did it deserved a 40% RT score? NO! Will I buy KOTM on blue ray? Yes and it is already preorder.

That wild applause when they recognized Akira Ifukube's music always makes me teary-eyed.
Watching as everyone cheers at every Godzilla or monster appearance or even cheering at the humans makes me feel a lot better that I’m not the only one who is a fan and who gets hyped at every second.
It really makes it less of a guilty pleasure of being a fan since most people seem to think a guy in a rubber suit is too childish or immature of a interest.
But you know what, after watching this, I don’t give a crap what people think of Godzilla because we all have a interest and it’s never in our right to judge. Long Live the King of the Monsters!👑

Also I was at G fest XXVI, Since I live in Chicago, I was right by Pickwick Theatre, Thank you for making one of the best things during my summer break
Also Pickwick Sounded like a Soccer Stadium
That is but a small part of one of the many great things about this movie, and why it is a great edition to the Godzilla franchise. It respects the series and its characters, making it instantly recognizable as a Godzilla movie by calling back to previous and including many elements from earlier films, but also making it distinct and new.

I was the only one who was really freaking out during the movie both times I saw it. No one else in the theater were G fans. Well, we did gain new g fans because of some of my friends but, other than that, the theater was dead

I saw this movie with a friend of mine who loves Godzilla. When he heard the original theme song remastered in this movie, he nearly jumped out of his seat and started screaming. I had to grab his arm to get him to sit down. The same thing happened when the army mentioned the Oxygen Destroyer.
At the end of the movie with the after credits scene, I had my moment of flipping out when I called out the teaser for Mecha-King Ghidorah
Another friend who we watched the movie with later on when it came out on DVD, the shot in Antartica where the camera pans up to reveal Godzilla, she said: “my boy’s been working out!”
These were probably the best moments of 2019 for me

Me to the first time I saw it a guy was shocked when rodan ate the pilot and then they were surprised when Mothra stabbed Rodan and then well I saw this 6 times and all the other times they only laughed at some of the jokes
It’s really a common case for everyone, my theatre was pretty dead silent also but surprisingly I found one fan screaming once the movie ended lol.
The reaction is just what you get watching a movie at G fest.

I loved the movie so much and for first ever time a reaction in cinema!
When burning Godzilla appeared (yes, it is confirmed as burning g) I lost it! Man I loved it so much!
Cried when Serizawa died and Mothra sacrificed herself..
I remember hearing Godzilla's classic theme in this movie when I saw it in the theater, and I had probably the biggest smile on my face when that beautiful familiar sound reached my ears. Granted, my theater experience wasn't at G-Fest, but still... :)

Honestly, this movie, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, has gotten me quite intrigued with some of the Godzilla phenomenon. And now, I'm at a point where I see people reacting to this movie, and I feel like I understand. Wasn't a Godzilla fan until this movie. This movie did everything correctly, in my opinion. It's a work of art.

Love everyone screaming for their favorites to come back, especially Mothra. When I first saw her, I actually felt my eyes sting a bit. I wasn't crying. I only knew of Godzilla's existence thanks to Sonic Zombie Diaries. And when King Kong and Death Battle showed more, I went into more videos and wikis. It was fun.
O yes the one thing that I forgot about G fan's, there all as loud as miny Godzilla's when there blood gets pumping. That's good though.

I love how even though he's the villain. We all loved and cheered for ghidorah.
It must have been amazing to have been there. To be surrounded by people just has excited, inspired, and in awe that the movie even exists, let alone is as good as it is, must have been amazing.

When I first saw the scene was Godzilla was rising from the ice and faced King ghidorah, I felt the amount of hatred they had on both of their looks

That's to be expected at a Godzilla convention.
Also, I had the same experience. I was there with my family, and I've seen all the movies and everyone else has seen a fair few (minus my brother, who's seen less than five). Meanwhile, out of the maybe two-dozen people in the theater, I heard two distinct people actually getting audible excited and pointing out some of the stuff they thought was cool.

I saw this movie for the first time at a press screening with my brother and everyone there were all huge Godzilla fans, people were clapping and cheering whenever the titans would appear just like in your video! It was awesome! Also keep up the good work!

Aww, I wish the audience was like that when I was watch the film, but what made my day was this 8-10 year old girl seating next to me humming the Godzilla theme when it played and singing the lyrics of Mothra theme. That made me happy love it when kids know and like the old films.
Between laughing and tearing up this once again emphatically demonstrates that Dougherty is One Of Us.
One thing though...why the clapping / cheering when the oxygen destroyer was shown, you do know that killed Godzilla right, and look what happened, I'm playing..just jazzed at the enthusiasm.
