    I did it last year to my 172. It’s amazing.

      Thanks Steve, I really like putting these videos together and try to mix it up between the aviation and photography. I didn’t actually shoot any video during the backcountry class, figured it might distract from my learning. I am planning some videos illustrating the techniques on both gravel and grass airstrips near Denver, hoping to shoot one next week. I hope to get back up to Idaho and do some more backcountry flying and shoot some videos of that, so stay tuned!

    Congrats on the STOL kit! Looked like some sweet performance on takeoff and slow flight. Good call on waiting out the head cold. Never worth it. Hey, check out the 206 right across from you at 2:49 at the end! That’s the one I hope to fly someday if it’s still part of the club fleet in two years! We all look forward to hearing about Idaho backcountry training.

      As always, thanks Aaron! The blue airplane? That's actually a 182 that belongs to Independence Aviation.

      Oh yeah, I’m off a row or two my bad. Plus it’s obvious without the cargo pod now that I really checked it out. Oops.

    Hello Evan did the stol kit impact cruise speed??

    • @EvanAnderman
      @EvanAnderman  Год назад

      That’s the great thing about the Sportsman STOL is that there is not a decrease in cruise speed! You can check out their website www.steneaviation.com/pages/sportsman-stol

    Hi Evan, thinking about adding this kit to my 206, but I was wonder what happened to your cruise performance?

      @@EvanAnderman I have checked their site and it is very quite in term of cruise performance, which is why I was asking you if you noticed any actual change on your plane before to after installation.

    What was the total on the install? Wanting to do the same with a 170. Just to give me an idea.

    • @EvanAnderman
      @EvanAnderman  Год назад

      $16,600 with the vortex generators, not cheap but it is definitely worth it if you plan to do any backcountry flying. I have a friend who did it to his 185 and that is what convinced me to have it installed.

      You can see in the comments below that mopar92 had it installed on his 172.
