i have more respect for motorcross riders than any other sport on the planet , they should make more money than they do. these guys are truly fearless, mad respect to all the guys out there riding above c class
I tend to agree with that with the exception of bull riding. There is no explaining the dangers involved in those 8 seconds, if that long.

I can tell you from experience, not only is eating shit and rolling out onto your feet a surreal experience, it's a lot better than stopping dead in the dirt, and it hurts a lot less too.

Some of these clips make my heart sink. I ride dirtbikes for fun and even the smallest crashes leave you startled for a while. Props to these guys for recovering so quickly and being able to handle these situations so well.

I was once invincible in youth. These kids have no idea what it feel like to under go 19 major back repair surgeries. And the times I refused to get cut on & suffered almost motionless on a bed for 3-4 months at a time. I did this a minimum of 6 times but know it was more. You lose count after awhile. Recovery is now going on 36 yrs of lost living. You guys have no concept of pain. It's my best friend, the pain. That's what's left after all of the fun & Death won't take you.
I had a nasty crash on my old 07 crf450r broke my leg same bone three different places when I was 26 almost had a stroke due to swelling and the amount of time it took to get me into a major medical emergency facility had to take two years off ridding ( that was more painful then the broken bone) when I turned 29 this past May I bought a brand new Kx250 and I'm back at it going harder getting more air now then ever I just love Motocross and dirtbikes! I'll never stop ridding I got many more bones to break age means nothing to me!
Well that is nice to hear and all. But I don’t recommend saying I got more bones to break lol. Just messing, keep up the riding I am just about to pick up my first bike, a yz250fx. I’m 15 and I feel so extremely fortunate and happy I can’t wait.

For anyone that has never went hard on a motocross track...lemme tell you..id rather go crazy fast on my r-1 than go balls out on a motocross track...both are sketchy but I've been beat multiple times by the dirt bike and the dirt tracks!!!Just my personal experiences..but dang!!!
I’ve crashed my sleds at speeds of 90 plus mph and another time near 70 in icy conditions and walked away with some minor bruising and concussion one time.
However crashing my bike I’ve spent several nights in a hospital with internal bleeding, dislocated shoulder, dislocated hip, broken ribs punctured lungs. I remember one time, had a fresh piston I was breaking in. Just taking it for quick trip around and the sun was setting. Ya know when the light is straight in your eyes just before the sun sets. Yeah it was like that, and some dead tree limbs that were not there in the morning were now across my lane. The shadows of the trees blocked the light and have just enough time to say “wholly shit” and then I was jousted from my bike in third gear. I still to this day cannot believe that pointy wood didn’t ram through me. I’ll never forget that shit. Compound hematoma, they kept me for two days until the blood clot dissipated 🙄

Most people said why dont they just lift it off and I remember (I dont to motorcross) i was riding my 110 and i tipped and I basically got pinned by the bike and we had a hard time getting the bike off of my leg

Doug Henry's crashes at Budds Creek were 2 of the worst. The first his throttle stuck wide open and launched crazy far/high landed on the flats and broke his back. Jeremy McGrath was alongside Henry and thought what is he doing.
Henry's second crash 2 years later at Budds he broke both his arms. I remember the footage of him staggering of the track with both arms just hanging limp. He had to ask spectators over the fence to take his helmet off. The next race weekend Henry was on the trackside with both arms in casts waving support for his teammate in the race. Such a gutsy and great/inspirational guy. Sadly he was paralyzed in a supermoto race but races moto today on a modified bike . Dude is crazy fast still.

Nobody gonna talk about the guy getting his head run over at 8:20,if that helmet flew off or was already damaged during that crash he would have probably been alot more injured

As a kid growing up with dirt bikes and MX, the things kids are doing now is ridiculous. Motocross racing at this level is ignorant. There may be one in a million riders that can pull off these kinds of stunts. I know too many guys who are damaged for life to think I should go out and ride like that. It is a blood sport now like MMA, people don't go to see a race or a fight, they go to see someone get hurt.

As a amateur rider who Messes up a lot I feel there Pain
I bought a CR250 off a local pro . This thing was built for him , same height , weight as me . He was in a crash , got his leg sucked down in between the back tire & swing arm of another racers bike . It ended his career . That CR was bad ass wish I still had it .
This still does not make me want to stop my dream of riding i know i can get hurt but i will try my very best to not crash
