Was just talking to a guy who lived and taught in South Korea. Koreans are wonderful hard working people. But you as an American foreigner will have a unique experience because you are not Korean. You may feel isolated and have some significant culture shock Don't mean to be negative. But be prepared. Hope it works out for you.
So far, everyone here has been very kind and helpful. Being here is definitely different, but I am looking forward to experiencing a new way of life for awhile. Thanks!
I cannot begin to tell you the level of admiration I have for you. You are so brave. I would like to do things, but fear always keep me back. I will follow your adventures, can't wait for the vlogs to upload. Much love from the Republic of Panama.
Thank you! I understand the fear. I wanted to go on this adventure for a long time, but I was too scared until now. I was especially nervous taking my child with me, but I worked up the courage slowly. First, we did trips closer to our house, then around our country, then we went a little further each time. Panamá también está en mi lista. Nunca he ido!
I absolutely understand all the feelings you must have went through in the lead up to your trip. In late summer 2005, I packed up a few bags, and headed to the ROK, though I went alone. In the early 2000s, the Internet was still pretty basic and there wasn't a lot of information on Korea. I went into the unknown with a lot less information, but that kind of added to the mystery/excitement. What was supposed to be a year long trip ended up being over 13.5 years.
It was super chaotic getting everything ready to leave, but I knew it would be worth it in the end. I seriously can't believe she hurt herself right away, but that's life with kids. She's already so much better, so I'm sure we'll be out and about soon!
@@24hrstolive27 I know what you mean. I was burning the candle at both ends in the US, and I was so stressed out. It will be a nice change of pace for you to get out and be in a different environment.
@@24hrstolive27 I have lived in Mexico before. I wanted to go somewhere new. I am just spending the next year traveling and exploring different countries before I decide if/where I want to settle down.
Wow ! I am a mum and I cannot image how brave you are!!!! Wow!!!!!

Your living my dream. I’m 39 and I have 3 years in my city job to get out..
You can do it! What kind of adventure do you want to go on?
@@LidiaExplores honestly I just want to get away from the fast pace life of the US. And enjoy everyday exploring the world
