- Still sick, but somebody has to preach to the masses about how Kitty Section needs a new lead singer, so here I am. This episode is kind of dull honestly. Has some good moments I suppose but just very bland. And badly written. Both the minor stuff and the overarching narrative which ties into the season and beyond. Just... bad. Watch and find out more.
I honestly kinda wish they instead had Luka trying to help Adrien as Cat noir more, as it’s not only gonna reflect Alya and Marinette’s dynamic but also add to Luka’s arc- also the best part of this episode is Bob Roth getting yeeted multiple times 💀
Frigging THANK YOU. YES! THIS!
That would have been amazing.
Facts!!!!
Frr
EXACTLY,Luka knows both their identities and now they know he knows,if they were trying to imply him and Adrian were close enough to the point of hugging then they should have gone all in,have Luka be his confidant like what Alya was for Marinette but they decided nope,he knows too much we need to get rid of him🤦🏾♂️
It's obvious. That a fanfiction writer should write this show
I came to watch this show just because someone wrote a Miraculous inspired fanfiction for a different fandom that I'm in lol... And i can totally agree with you, many fanfiction writers take into account continuity, character growth, relationships, world building etc, when the source they're inspired by more often than not doesn't work that well. My gosh, if fanfiction writers took the show over, I'd flip completely
IF a fanfiction writer would've written this show, i woud bet, that we got better storylines. Some of the episodes seemed to be pretty dumb. And the clear bisexuel relationship between Rose and Juleka or Mark and Nathaniel would've been better written.
Depends on the fanfic writer. Some are just as bad as this, but Ya know I have see some real gems so I kinda want to take the risk to see what they could do.
Well, if a fan fiction writer was originally writing the show, they would not be a fan fiction writer anymore - they'd be writing the show. and i really wonder how the fck they could go on with "i would do better" routine then (Just pointing the absurdity here and also, i am one of the writers - cheers)
@@baron5aturday look at doctor who, steven moffat was a fanfic writer and then became a show runner. he made his theories cannon he also wrote for the show. when he just wrote it was fantastic.
Luka's bed is a psychiatrist couch where everyone comes for advice
Yeah I agree ✋ 😊 💯
I love that Jagged just makes his son his therapist and then proceeds to talk about his children as if one of them wasn't right there 💀
And also Luka is way too dang calm.
Yeah thanks to monarch Luka was able to lose his clam on Bob and yeah decided to let the last throwing overboard pass on he was starting to sound like Ms bustia on the fact that SHE believes that everyone changes and how Adrian used to be until he gave up on ladybug and got jealous of the other heroes yeah both of Marinette's boyfriends learned that not everyone changes it's only Ms bustia who needs to learn here
Luka is perpetually screwed over by the show and always will be. Legitimately no one ever supports Luke and he’s always expected to support those who use him as a doormat.
I feel like Luka was everyone's therapist and voice of reason. I love him. He's one of my favorite characters on here.
Yeah me too ✋ 😊❤
This makes no sense. If Monarch knows that Luka knows their identities, Luka leaving Paris with Jagged is literally useless and won't make him safe because Monarch has the power of Voyage and can teleport to him at any time and use him to learn their identities. They should have just left the "Monarch knows he knows" story out because they never return to it, it's so out of character for Gabriel to just ignore that.
Yeah but for voyage to work, don't u need to know the place u have to go?
@@darriongeorge5137 nope there have been times where they used it and didn't know.
@@FlawPink Right, but let's say Monarch sees a photo of them on social media online or something, you know how invasive paparazzi can be with celebs like Jagged Stone, then he'll have a general location of where they are.
@@FlawPink It still doesn't make sense character-wise. Monarch would jump on the opportunity as soon as he could to capture Luka and learn LB and CN's secret identity before he had a chance to leave Paris. It makes the "Luka knows who they are" storyline basically pointless.
In fairness, even though Monarch can teleport, he really can't do much to make Luka talk outside the confines of Paris. Orikko already mentioned that he can't grant himself powers that operate like a wish. Luka is fairly resolute so brute force isn't going to work, and threatening Jagged or Penny is going to give Fang a nice new snack. Monarch would then have to stalk Luka's vicinity until he could find someone he could akumatize.
And let's not forget there are other heroes around the world. Monarch has already made enemies in China and the USA. Going after Luka might stir up another hornet's nest.
That's not to say Luka is safe because he's gone, but Monarch probably determined it's likely not worth the risk.
There's two things in this episode that keep in my mind even till today
1. Bob got yeet out of the boat multiple times which is hilarious to watch
2. Luka become a therapy robot with his "You sure that what you want to talk about?" And "you know where to find me"
Tbh, I'm kinda disappointed how they let Luka left the show like that. I was expecting Luka to support Adrien and Marinette more after telling them the truth (especially Adrien bc he had no one to talk to while Marinette have Alya)
I would rather luka and adrian be bestfriends then nino and luka is to much of the ground therapist like you said he need to set up boundaries
The segment at the beginning of Luka being everyone’s therapist was really funny, though. Feels very true to his character. Also, I presume Luka could figure out that Marinette and Adrien were just coming up with excuses to talk to him about something more serious just because people do that so often with him.
Honestly- I loved this episode because it was centered around Luka, Luka has grown to be my favorite character in the show and at first I didn’t really like him all that much, but then I watched Silencer and just the REASON he got akumatized- he was angry at Bob for stealing his music and hurting a loved one, something I can ACTUALLY RELATE TOO. Instead of “oh my Pigeon was kicked out of the park! I’m so angry!”
Luka is an amazing person and the person who, as we see this episode, you can just vent to- and MY MAN IS QUITE LITERALLY EVERYONES THERAPIST LIKE- MY GOSH- anyway, then there was the Monarch finding out Luka knows and- tbh it would’ve been a MUCH better episode if Monarch had just voyaged himself right to Luka and actually chased/attacked him, giving him more of a genuine reason to move away like, he would actually be in danger… I kind of hate how they just got rid of Luka- and as you said he’s like the best written character in the show- But I’m betting this won’t be the last we see of him, Miraculous, if they’re smart enough, will use logic, Monarch has the horse miraculous, used to travel through portals, he could go anywhere, and I don’t really know how it works but I’m sure he could voyage straight to Luka if need be… so I’m going to hope that we see Luka again
Gabriel knew luka was hiding something becous his emotion changed from anger to panic/afraid to get caught the moment the akuma went in the guitar, that was not the case for marinette al 3 times, 2 times anger 1 time panic atack or something😂
Yeah, like he instantly went to the conclusion that Luka knows who Ladybug and Chat Noir are but why not with Marinette? I mean she nearly got akumatized multiple times and each time she was clearly harboring a lot of negative emotions and stress, so why wasn’t Gabriel like “Hmmm, strange why do I feel such burden and sorrow from this girl? I mean I know that teenagers have a lot of pent up emotions but this is ridiculous. Its almost like this girl has the weight of the world on her shoulders…wait…HOLY SHIT! MARINETTE DUPAIN-CHENG IS LADYBUG!”
@@vgngolley341Because she *didn't* panic the times he went after her. He spoke directly to the source of her emotional distress and she only offered a *very* slight resistance the second time. He had no reason to believe there's anything else there. Ironically, folding would protect her secret identity slightly more than resisting would, even though she has no reason to know this.
@@nangbaby But can’t Hawkmoth sense what she is feeling? Isn’t that one of his powers? How could he not tell that there is something that she is hiding?
Is it odd that I actually made Luka a villain in my Miraculous AU, simply because of how oddly understanding he is? Like no human on earth is this understanding aha 😅
I also think, much like the writing for Zoe which basically states Mrs. Buregois had an affair overseas with a newborn child and husband at home, Juleka being Jagged Stone’s daughter is painfully glossed over.
He'd become a villain when he realises his friends wouldn't help him back if he had an issue. Or worse, turn on him.
Tbh I used to be that understanding as Luka, but my sister helped me stop acting this way cause people kept taking advantage of me
I wonder if XY will ever get Akumatized in the future? Also, since there might be a chance for Monarch (Gabriel Agreste) to meet his end I sure hope the Future Butterfly Miraculous-wielding super-villain will akumatized XY at some point.
Yes I like the idea 😊❤
I want to say that I'm disappointed that Luka was underutilized. In most of the earlier episodes in this season, he wasn't there or he only played minor roles. So, the fact he knows both identities didn't affect the story, and having him leave only has a small impact because he was hardly involved already.
I think he's shown his importance quite well. In nearly every episode he's in he got important plots, although he didn't appear in every episode.
I feel like the title could apply to season 4.
Ladybug makes charms so characters don't get akumatized, Moth gets passed that before the season ends.
Ladybug becomes the keeper of the Miraculous and loses them by the end of the season.
Chloe looks like she might have a redemption arc, the writers double down on her nastier sides.
A lot of plot points end up going nowhere.
Did it occur to you that Luka knowing what he knows, needs to be trained to be a guardian?! I believe he will end up "taking over" that task for Ladybug......maybe as a co-guardian so she keeps her memorys.
My favorite part of this episode was bob the record producer getting thrown off the boat 🛥️ 1:24 and my second part was very emotional about Luka leaving the gang. Who’s going to be the next holder of the snake miraculous. Darn you Astruc 3:37
he probably wont be gone forever?
6:22 Why we have these photos? Do we need to see Zoe like this? And haunted Rose photo?
In my opinion the episode is overall a good one, not best, but still a good one. From a leak I've seen a while ago, Luka will still have some importance in the future episodes, I'm not sure how they will handle it or what exactly will it be
Oh yeah just wait smarty pants he will be important
A lot of characters just keep disappearing and reappearing. I gave up watching the show so I stick with these summaries to pick up bits and pieces
Same-
No because Bob’s character is doing way too much to be taken a bit seriously.
My man Luka needs to get paid for his psychologist tricks.
They made zoe confess to marinette but can’t let rose confess to juleka (who we know have been close since s1)?? Queerbaiting yasss😍
Oh yes have the guy travel. It is not like hawkmoth hasn't been to other countries before, so he could never get to him. Seriously, makes me sad that it had so many holes in it that it is like freaking swiss cheese. Like seriously, they could have used that to lure out hawkmoth and had another character like alya but for chat noir. Luka and Adrien needed to have a bromance and needed to have the whole help his friend out. I mean yeah we got nino, but nino couldn't keep a secret even if the world was on fire and needed it. then again alya couldn't either.... Ugh, that means the only one whom could keep a secret is the one they send on a world tour? What the hell???
I wished Chloe go to another country and not Luka. He's a really nice guy, always there for his friends and giving them advices, a talented musician too. This angel don't deserve to leave! Yes Monarch knows that he knows Ldybug's identity BUT he could just go to a town near Paris. Luka won't be separated from his friends. It's sad he won't be here anymore, i like him 😭
Luka will be back later this season
@@hoppie4263 cool 😎
Honestly where is this show going? Like actually going? It has two more seasons, (likely more to come), Adrian and Marinette are already dating which was the biggest thing that show had to make viewers interested, there's very little left to keep audience interested. Adrian's mom, his cousin. Lila, and will Adrian and Marinette ever learn their secret identities.
Sometimes it feels like the writers are getting their ideas from fan theories and cramming all them into the story terribly and abandoning them too quickly. It actually feels like that. Fans go, 'what if' and the writers go yeah, 'what if'.
And yeah, I agree, either characters are gay, or not. Enough with the queer baiting, I get enough of that in anime already, you either commit or don't. Don't leave it for the fans to guess, that Never ends well!
I've had the same thoughts about the ideas coming from fanfictions!! Which is crazy cus Astruc has famously once said that fanfiction writers could never get anything on air 🙃💀 but the plot is just so discombobulated you can only wonder if they're just yoinking ideas from elsewhere. There's no real jointed "plot", therefore nowhere to go like you said.
An episode that has me a lot is to wonder about the intelligence of Gabriel Agreste! Why does Luka have to leave Paris when we have Alya who, since her links with Ladybug was discovered by the monarch, continues to live without him facing anything with this information tonight? I mean, he's now doomed and has nothing left to lose except for chasing the hottest lead on Ladybug and ChatNoir's identities, namely Alya and Zoe!
Generally any wearers who have had their secret identities exposed should be on Monarch's priority list, but the writers don't seem to know what to do with that themselves without forcing other characters to be taken out of the show. so this is never mentioned or considered by Gabriel...
Unfortunately the series has remained on a strange status quo for almost 5 seasons now, refusing any change that is beginning to impose itself for a better cohesion of its history.
-The first that comes to mind and that will not surprise anyone if you read the rest of my comment, Alya should have left the series or at least experienced a period of tension with Marinette!
She betrayed her friends by disclosing information on the operation of the miraculous on her blog, it's a miracle that the life of Paris has not been overwhelmed by supervillains who have come to seize it! (especially since we now know that there are many supers in the Miraculous universe)
Alya is indirectly responsible for the fact that Felix is able to know the mode of operation of the miraculous and to cause the loss of the miraculous. I think it would have been a good story arc to explore a rift between Marinette and Alya.
-Second point that it might also be good there for a better development, after Gabriel!
I thought for a while that we had three interesting leads for future antagonists slowly starting to loom on the horizon, Lila, Felix and... Kagami!
Maybe the first two characters will not surprise you but you would probably wonder why Kagami?
I would answer simply because unlike Luka, Kagami continues to have feelings for Adrien but does not dare to satisfy the desires of his heart out of friendship, it is easily easy to go from love to hate unfortunately and I think that would have been a very good avenue to explore for the future of the series. But this track seems for the moment to be meaningless, at least for the moment.
Sorry if I'm spreading out a little too much, but for a long time the series has frustrated me enormously and I needed to put some points in writing.
I wish Thomas made it where someone talked to Luka like he talked to Marinette, Adrien and his dad and his dad’s assistant.
So they made Luka the "therapist friend", thats not good for anyone.....
The fact that all the kids still believed they could get a honest contract from Bob Roth... as if they'd just met him and knew nothing of him. 🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️
After watching Perfection, I decided to take a break from Miraculous for a few months 'cause I wanted to wait for Migration to come out so that I can watch the episodes in order. Glad I did, as now most of the episodes are out and the season is almost over. I would have been curious as to why Luka is no longer seen with the group if I had watched the later episodes first.
6:00 When they signed the contract, I was like, "They read it first, right? Right?? There's no way that they wouldn't read it first before signing, especially since this man is not trustworthy." I was so disappointed when it turned out that they didn't read it, and not even Luka and Juleka's mom read it...
7:59 I was so happy when Rose sang "All my heart, I love Juleka~" I was like, "Finally, it's happening!" And then when I heard, "Luka, Ivan, Marinette, and Alya", I was just... 🤦
I thought this season started off strong, but DAMN has it aged like milk. The "plot" is all over the place, which honestly has been the norm for Miraculous since it premiered, but it's ESPECIALLY bad recently as it gets more convoluted with all of the plot holes and inconsistent character arcs. And now, they indefinitely remove some of the FEW likable characters left like Luka and Alix, yet highlight useless characters like Zoe. It's so disappointing to see a franchise you love go downhill due to something as stupid & easily fixable as lazy writing man.
Happy that you are back. I have never waited so impatiently for a review ever! I appreciate your work. Greetings from the Caribbean!
The only scenes I enjoyed were Anarka throwing Bob Roth off the boat. Actually, scratch that. It's the only scenes I enjoyed this entire season.
For what is worth, was there any other logical conclusion for Luka knowing their identities? Alex didn't even know that and she had to go hiding outside of time itself. About Julrose, can it really be called queer-bating when even a blind person would know what's going on?
“Meet Luka Couffaine, *life counselor”*
Am I the only one who don't think that Gabriel isn't that frightning at all? Am I the only one who would love to see him idk really kidnapped and imprisoned some character in the show? (Other then his son) Like for example when he cornered master Fu in one of the episodes and promises to get the informations out of him (I honestly don't know how, since he only was making akumas at that point of the story, and they could be resisted). Wouldn't it be accually smart move to try to captured/kidnapped that new gourian (I dont remember his name), just locked him up for a while and make him tell you who Ladybug is, and where to find her? It is quite obvious that he know. I know he left Paris, but it is just something I would love to watch- Gabe accually do something truly evil, that heve long lasting consequences, and raises the stakes. It would be also smart move since this guy is a monk fro a Tempel in Tybet. It is not like he have a family here who will imidiatly notice that he is gone. That plan could also work for Luka as he escape. I just wanted him to do something hy himself. He always seemed like such a low level of threat in this show. Honestly if I lived in Paris, in this univers and ever saw him i wouldn't even bother- acumataized people sometimes could be considered so but like the villan himself hardly ever do shit, he just watches them fail and screem at the window like a stupid, annoyed vhilde sometimes
I don’t comment, but I love your videos, and I wanted to know if you could do a video about the miraculous PV and what you think would’ve happened if they had released that instead.
roseleka may be miraculous' longest running queerbait but the latest is zoeynette lmao
also i didnt think they could make luka any whiter, i get theyre different animation studios but cmon
Just proves they had no idea what to do with Luka so its best to just get rid of him, it super sucks and just shows they did not have a long term plan with him.
God lucka is SUCH a therapist
The alliance ring is how Gabriel figured out
The way I was shipping Adrien and Luka so hard in this episode 💀 Just tired of this dragging Adrienette ship
Adrien needs someone to talk to, I think he should've just told Adrien because Marinette already has Alya
Yeah I agree ✋ 😊 💯
They didn't forget that Juleka is Jagged Stone's kid, Luka can't reveal to anyone that he knows these two's identities. Going on a world tour with his Dad makes sense.
Ohhhhh I know a RUclipsr that's gonna HATE Luka being gone.
Zamber right?
Who?
3:02 its not just about the vibe they only have 1-2 and one of them is when they first met thats why i always think them as like 2 person who know each other not like friends so this was sooo weird to me
Hm, fair and valid points and opinions, i hope things gets better.
Where can I watch the new episodes?
I don't think we should judge Luka's story so quickly until we've seen if there is a reason for this.
Edit: Even if this is the end of his story, he's had a good run. He had a relationship with Marinette, made amends with his father, learnt the importance of some secrets needing to be kept and helped other characters grow as well. It's time we let go.
@@Raya-ir4tm I'm saying that IF it is the end, it's a pretty understandable way to conclude his character because he has had a good run with everything he's been through and everything he's learned. You're still allowed to have your own opinion on how you would do it. The writers just have their own opinion as well.
I get side-eyeing Marinette talking to Luka about her relationship problems and I get where you're coming from but also, that is just some people's dynamic. They dated briefly, were never that serious to begin with, and they moved on while still remaining friends. I don't think she was completely out of pocket for that.
I’m so glad I quit the show, this writing is just garbage lmao
While i mostly enjoyed the episode the ending just ruined everything for me
While I am annoyed about Luka being written out of the show it is the most logical thing to leave the country. Which considering this shows characters lack of logic is impressive in its own way
00:00 I hope you'll do better soon🙂..., thanks for making the review👍🏼 ..., take your time for the other two reviews (Derision and Intuition on Sundaz)..., i'm sure people can wait...
Shhesh, not only luka feels like canon fodder but the narrative from a lot of episodes kind of come off poorly.
Actually this was a pretty good episode.
Amazing miraculous video Smarty Pants
Ok but how does Luka get training with the monks then?? He's seen doing kung foo against the meditation clones in the finale??
Daring his travels he finds the monks and starts training
He wasn't written off, but it's spoiler
too true on the queer bait, sure funny but yeah its really just there
like i wonder on the other relationships now getting turned to disc
- couldn't be alya cause she knows, not her BF cause maybe his music would be too techno beat
- not big guy and the short girl, don't even know what that music would be
- obviously they wanted it to be centered on the band getting turned to discs but now i'm really thinking how different it would be to each character
Marinette arriving on time? :O Impossible, who is she and what did she do with the real Marinette?
I think Luka should’ve told Adrien that he knows he’s cat noir so Adrien can have someone to talk to. I mean Marinette got Alya but Adrien got no one. We see how hard it was for Marinette being all alone and Adrien doesn’t even have a parent to talk to.
Agreed, but at keast plagg has become a better confidant
I was going to comment the same thing. Why does Marinette get to have someone who knows and can help her and Adrien doesn’t??? Give my boy a break!
Luka did tell him, at the end of the episode he told everyone that he knew the identity of ladybug and cat noir, adrien was present
@@adrianluna9648 I believe op meant to tell him in private. Like Marinette did with Alya.

I don’t mind Luka having to leave because he knows, it makes sense after all. The problem is that they did nothing with this development. In the 20 episodes since he found out they didn’t give this guy anything to work with. This episode clearly shows how great of a character he is and he could’ve been great in some of the recent episodes. If they wanted someone who could empathise with Adrien, they could’ve at least give him that before he had to eventually leave.
agreed. We tried. But didn't find the right moment to do it.
Yeah as one of Marinette's friends I consider always there for her I hate having to leave at least by the time I get over him dating Marinette
That's still a problem
Monarch figuring out IMMEDIATELY that Luka knows only because he didn't want to get akumatized is SO LAZY. Half the people usually try to fight it and reject it, so it's nothing new. Especially what you said, that Marinette almost got akumatized couple times too.
Of all the MANY flaws in this episode...Monarch finding out through this way isn't a copout.
It's been established since even Season 2 that Hawk Moth can sense thoughts in a connection other than whatever it was that attracted the akuma. Once he gets a grip he can see other negative thoughts. Since Luka was feeling not only the initial anger at Bob Roth but a more intense dread as to what would happen if he did succumb, then it would make sense that Monarch could glean that.
As for why he didn't figure out Marinette's secret the times he made contact, both times she was completely unaware she was being akumatized, and the first time she was actually taking off her earrings since it was a scarlet akuma. Since she was that consumed by her problems, Hawk Moth/Monarch wouldn't think to look any deeper.
@@nangbaby yeah like he knows exactly the reason they feel the emotion for his little monologues the "ah a boy who was rejected, ah a girl with a crushed dream, etc" while being more specific than I laid it down lol. Just bad inconsistent writing, everything is only canon episode to episode they just forget that they wrote rules and stuff xD
@@nangbaby Totally TRUE - thanks for pointing that out. Fans might not like it - or they can vent that they would be much better writers than the writers - but this is the principle upon which the episode was written. Monarch can sense negative emotion, and read through it. Not always precisely. Not always accurately but there is definitely a risk he'd find out.
Yeah he should have known that Marinette is ladybug sense she was going to take off her earrings and yeah when Marinette was going to get akumtizied he said bring me yours your miraculous like how does he know that she has a miraculoues if he doesn't know that she's ladybug? And why are he and principal damcols blaming her as ladybug if they don't know that she is and yeah she was scolding him as Marinette?
@virnalassiter382 The thing is, Hawk Moth doesn't know every thought that comes into people's heads. Backwarder illustrates that.
In the episode Ladybug, Marinette and everyone else around her were angry due to actions she seemingly took as Marinette, not Ladybug. Marinette was angry she was expelled from school due to Lila's plan. Hawk Moth gives Marinette his standard speech. She wordlessly took off her earrings. Since that was a Scarlet Akuma, he almost certainly wouldn't have even bothered to read her mind beyond what she was mad about since she couldn't offer any resistance.
In Elation she was at the moment so upset that she didn't even *realize* she was being akumatized, which means being Ladybug was the last thing on her mind. She was automatically about to give up and, again, Monarch had no need to read further.
I will admit that the episode Derision pushes the attempted akumatizations too far, though.
I like the way Luka treats others, but I hope one day we get an episode where he gets the same help he gives, if he is the one who always knows what to do to help others with their problems what will happen when he be the one who needs the same help? I mean, the fact that he openly says he knows the heroes' identities could definitely cause trouble later on.
No one will help him and he will be effed over. Helpers get no help.
@@DiamondsRexpensive he’s probably gonna fall in love with the girl from Shanghai
I love that we finally get an explanation for why Luka left the show, but I hate how Jagged still seems to be favoring him over Juleka. Like, the only jagged and Juleka episode was Crocoduel, meanwhile jagged and Luka had three other episodes in season 4

Exactly.
@@miraculousfan1332 I strongly disagree.
I have to say, that was one of the dumbest written episodes of this show. Yes, it is supposed to be for kids but come on... that thing with the contract was simply illegal. No european court would ever allow such a thing. The kids are all minors so IF Bob wants them for a Band, their parents have to sign the contract for them. The second thing: Luka's and Juleka's mother threw Bob off her ship three times and neither he or the contracts didn't got even wet.
I wouldn't be surprised, if Astruc had his hands on this episode
Dude. This is a STORY this is not sunday school for lawsuits in the music business. We are having fun with archetypes here. This is what a fiction is supposed to be about.

@@baron5aturday A poorly written story
@@ForrestFox626 Says the expert of writing in the comment section on youtube. I think i will survive those harsh critics, my dear.
@@baron5aturday Astruc, is that you? You’re getting quite butthurt about someone pointing out how flawed such a simplistic story concept is, when it easily could’ve been made to make sense. Just have Bob find out that Jagged has a son because of the paparazzi, and have Bob trick Jagged into signing Luka up with his studio. There was no need to do this ridiculously convoluted contract game.
What’s more confusing is why didn’t Monarch immediately kidnapped Luka when he found out what’s going on? I mean, Gabriel already sensed where Luka is with his powers and if that wasn’t the case, why didn’t Monarch kidnapped Luka after Ladybug and Chat Noir defeated the Akumatized Victim? If I was Monarch, I will use the Horse Miraculous to teleport over to him, use the Bee Miraculous to paralyze him, and then grab Luka and bring him to my lair and torture him for the information. I mean, its not like Ladybug and Chat Noir can save him, they would have no idea where he is. This is an instant win win for Monarch

@@SB-sd1sg That is true! I don’t understand the thought process of Gabriel! There is so many ways to get instant wins and achieve his goals, but Gabriel just doesn’t do it! He literally has nearly all of the Miraculouses in his disposal, how is he losing so much?!
@@vgngolley341 This... This is painful to read because holy f*** you're so right. It wouldn't be hard to teleport luka over and isolate him. Conversely, in sentibubbler, marinette easily could've equipped the horse and bee, unified them, and the popped out behind gabe an paralyzed him instantly. If she had enough finesse to grab his coffee cup, she could've paralyzed him.
@@powerpuff6872 Thank you and ikr?! I was literally thinking that when I was watching the episode! Why go for the freaking cup when you can easily restrain the villain!? Marinette could’ve easily captured Shadowmoth right there and now and there would’ve been no way that Gabriel can get out of that situation!
@@vgngolley341 Another thing to note is that gabe should've won by now if he had half a brain. Sentibubbler confirms he can make past akuma's with the same powers. Why not make a sentimonster-catalyst and become Scarlet moth every day?? I know he can't do it now, but he could in season 4. BUT EVEN NOW HE HAS THE ROOSTER WHICH CAN DO THE SAME DAMN THING!!
I'm so MAD about Rose and Juleka. I was so excited when she said "I love Juleka" and was like "no way! they finally did it!" but then she continued mentioning all of her friends... IDK why won't they make it official, especially when they made Zoe confess to Marinette. I guess since Marinette and Adrien are endgame Zoe's confession doesn't change anything so they don't have to worry about good representation, cause they can just forget that ever happened.
At least Juleka blushed…
It might still mean something that rose said Juleka first
@@hoppie4263 we can always dream
"doesn't change anything so they don't have to worry about good representation" DING!
Like a Gravity Falls reactor commented, that show (for example) is ok with showing a boy giving mouth to mouth to another boy, even making the joke 'haha, your first kiss!' But if it's a real kiss/ a real relationship they have a problem.
Rose is poly.
If Gabe knew that Luka knew their identities.. He could have straight up used the horse miraculous, tp to Luka, kidnap him and then used the power of the rooster to make him tell the truth. E A S Y. But noooo he cant be that smart! (Also the fact tht Luka thinks hes safe if he leaves Paris is stupid af, like hawkmoth can tp anywhere in the world 😭)
Well I think the idea for teleportation is you have to know where you're teleporting to, if Luka leaves and for an example went to Italy or something Gabriel would be able to teleport there but he wouldn't know where luka was staying so unless he spents the entire day teleporting randomly at people's houses it wouldn't work
@@ishashifar Ya but it's not like Luka went into hiding, he's doing a world tour with his dad so hawkmoth will know where he is
This is what I have been saying! Gabriel has the powers and resources to not only out where Luka is but kidnap him as well to get the information out of him. Having Luka move out of Paris isn’t going to fix the problem
Besides he can get the power to track people using the rooster and it wouldn't matter where Luka is.Luka would be so vulnerable with Ladybug and Chat noir far away and with only a deadbeat dad and an overworked assistant to protect him.
@@SB-sd1sg ik but my point was that Gabriel probably needs to know a very specific location like where their hotel is or wherever they are staying at
Gabriel was so lucky that the conclusion he jumped to was actually correct because that was such an out of the blue guess😭
From akumatizing so many people, I guess he got some experience with all these victims. No one has felt so afraid about getting akumatized before, so he probably assumed that Luka knows something
Not really when you consider that Luka was a previously unmasked hero as of “Miracle Queen” (and affirmed in “Optigami”). Gabe knows what the Snake miraculous does. Alya, another unmasked hero, has already been shown to be deeply involved as both Rena and Scarabella. Maybe the smooth brain has at least one wrinkle…
@@summerdaze390 I doubt that
So Kitty section isn't meant to be "good". They're meant to represent the free spirit of creating. It's their narrative. It's why Luka loves the group and wants to encourage them to be creative. When you look at his father, who cut off all relationships for the pursuit of his image in music - you can understand why Luka prefers the relationships he's formed with Kitty section, over appearances and sounds.
@@Raya-ir4tm That's not the point of Kitty section either. They're non conformist, fringe creatives who get their muse from each other. Not the audience. So whatever you say they're not, is what they are.
If you think that defies reality, why are you watching a kids' animation, based on magical creatures? Did you expect to show up for a documentary, that depicts reality?
I haven't been watching Miraculos for a long while so I have to ask:
1. Why does Luka look so pale compared to everyone else? Like in one shot, he literally looks like a short slender man.
2. When did Luka become everyone's love therapist and why is he not charging them for his services? The man could make a living off of that.
Slender man in miraculous hahaha hahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂hahahah 😂😂 hahaah😂
Idk he just gets paler every episode
He become paler because he stress of dumb writing of this show
Gabriel is the master of (correctly) jumping to conclusions, as we've seen in Ephemeral.
I feel like the episode’s storyline was too rushed. Was expecting it to be more intense when Luka reveals that he knows their identities. Luka deserves better…
I think the episode would have been better if Luka was akumatized for trying to fix everyone’s problems while nobody helps him, and write out Bob Ross entirely.
Yeah I totally agree with you 👍 💯 👏
You should have written this episode. Maybe make it about how Luka knows that Marinette is Ladybug and that Adrien is Chat Noir, that he’s going through so much turmoil with his deadbeat dad returning and with Marinette using him for advice on how to get with Adrien. Have Luka be tired of playing adult because his mother is too immature to do so. Have him feel isolated and like he must hold back these emotions so that he doesn’t get akumatized and reveal to Monarch what he knows.
Have him crack by the end of the episode and have Gabriel deduce that he knows something because he is Viperion and is uncharacteristically fighting the akuma (more than he did in Silencer or Truth).
The episode is fixed. Huzzah! And we actually used the events of Wishmaker for something!
I'm glad they brought up the storyline of luka knowing the identities of cat noir and ladybug but why did the episode have to end in the most plot armour way?
That "Are you sure that's why you came here?" thing killed me. I mean:
- Hey! Luka! You know where's toilet paper?! I need it right now!
- Are you sure that's why you came here?
If this was the route they were going, it made absolutely no sense to even have Luka find out the secret identities. It changed nothing. Pretty sure the only reason Luca knows is so they could tease an “identity reveal” in season 4.
I need someone to explain how tf Luka is just so chill all the time…like…what’s up dude…you good
Edit: YES…THROW HIM OFF THE BOAT
Edit: someone on tiktok said they hope season six had better animation cause they wanted tan Luka back and I agree, he was pretty tanned in the earlier seasons and here, he’s so white
Edit: ok so something I just thought about: in Ephemeral, Ladybug sends a picture of the time to Luka and tells him “Sass is in my sewing box”, so that Luka could go and get Sass and reverse everything, she doesn’t say “Marinette sewing box” she says my sewing, implying that she would know that Luka knows she’s ladybug and would therefore know where her sewing box is, but in this episode she acts all shocked and surprised when Luka says her name, what’s going on here
Sometimes rockers are just. like that. \m/
"LUKA PLEASE CALL 911 I CAN'T BREATHE"
"r u sure thats why u came here"
The ideas the writers have are amazing, they’re just executed terribly in my opinion… which makes me really sad because I love miraculous with my whole heart :(
Adrien finally could've had someone to share his secret. But nooo. Adrien can only have Marinette. Because that's the only one he can trust. And I find that to be bullshit. Luka is the perfect one to know Adrien's secret. Also lukadrien moments in this episode were adorable! 😞😔😊🤗🥰💙💙💙💚💚💚
Yeah Adrien ONLY being able to deeply connect with Marinette is so isolating and just toxic a.f.
@@esayem7746 Exactly!
So I take it you want him and Luka to be an item over Mari?
@@splatfan I mean yes. Please don't judge me.😅
I honestly don't think Rose being a bad signer was a choice it's probably caused by fact her voice actresses were chosen without signing in mind so when Astruc wrote in Rose being a signer they just got those poor women to sing to save money on hiring a professional for just couple of seconds.
It happens a lot in cartoons, not many people know but up to half the budget is spend on audio including voice acting so it's most common aspect of production to save money.
I love how luka become therapy for everyone
Yeah me too 😊❤
I feel like they wrote Luka out of the show as a means to not only to get fans to stop asking where/when he is going to appear next and getting rid of the plot-hole they dug themselves in by having Luka know Mari's and Adrien's identities. But also secretly as a way to stick it to anyone who shipped Luka and Marinette.
Yeah I totally shipped Luka and Marinette 😊❤
Luka really gets the short straw in miraculous ladybug
hi we have the same profile picture
Come to think of it this episode now means Alya can never be akumatized or she will be found knowing Ladybug's identity just like Luka.
Alya is able to resist so it’s less likely she could just avoid him from finding out Luka had a harder time resisting he had to destroy the akuma himself to resist
THANK YOU for the queerbaiting point. wtf are they even _doing??_ they give us ZOENETTE confirmation but we can't have rose and juleka?? they've been getting baited since the dawn of time and im sick of it.
You know, I can't believe I am about to say this. But the best part of this episode was Bob. The villian idea was really good and I loved his villian costume. As much as a jerk he is, was funny from start to finish.
My favourite part of this episode is when Luka became a therapist 😂😂
I wish he had told Chat Noir/Adrien privately like he did with ladybug so he would have time to process like she did. No. Instead, he gave Adrien the same info as HIS ENTIRE FRIEND GROUP. No time to process, nothing personal. Pretty rude.
And that's why I hate the show writers of miraculous. They treat Adrien like a doll. Use him when necessary. And put him aside when he's not. It pisses me off!
Luka is too good for this show
@@mizuspymiko6905 yeah me too
Luca is a big W, i love him, but he deserved so SO much better.
I love the fact that the contest just said Lorem Ipsum over and over, so it wasn’t even a real contract to begin with 😂
Luca is a bit… too nice and understanding in my opinion
Luka best boy ,they did him so dirty
It’s the fact that they built up Luka knowing their secret identities just for him to leave. Like what was the point? It’s not the first time they do something this but seriously 😭
