I miss the builds I have to say. I keep going over the old ones as they're still worth watching. Wish there was a bit more variety of manufacturers too.
That 250/1 looks like a gem of a kit!
Takom is killing it lately!!
Built their early Hetzer with interior, and it was a blast. And their prices is awesome. Lot´s of bang for the buck! They put the competition to the test..
And now this! :)
I have that kit and although I haven't built it yet I was impressed. At $45 US where I am it was very competitively priced
Andy why don't you do a build video on the 250/1 kit, Panzer grey with a winter white wash ? Of this new takom
That would be great. I agree.👍Also, I am sure that there were 250/1s manufactured in 1942 which were given striped or a full re-paint in a dark yellow in the field (*), and/or lasted long enough (**) to be repainted in those colours & even given camouflage colour... 🤔
(*) There are original colour photos of Pz. Kpfw. IIIs & IVs on the Eastern Front which have field-applied dark yellow/desert yellow stripes.
(**) Definitely not the 14th, 16th & 24th Pz. Divisions, with were obliterated in Stalingrad.
Another of my favorite kit maker...Takom is solid in quality. Love them!
looks great must have kit of the Sdkfz 250 best kit to out now getting 4 plus tiger
Great video and review..I’m a big Tiger fan and the Takom Tigers are the best..Thank you and all the best🇬🇧🇺🇸👍
That’s some fabulous products and prices, Andy. 😊👍🏻
Andy's the Man . The deals just keep coming along, Just don't Have a Big Wallet right now. But I just love window shopping so to speak. Well have a Great Day. Just enjoy your Videos. For Now and as for Me Over and Out.
Nice to see Takom got the drive sprocket correct. Looks like a great kit. Would love to see one in 1/16th scale.
I think Sdkfz 250 is the most underrepresented model.
Agreed, i hope Takom makes more versions of this.
Dragons kits are very good but they ain't 30 bucks anymore
I have the original 3-kit Big Box. I don't know what you call that paramecium shaped piece that goes between the exhaust but my advice is to leave it off until final completion. If you apply it during assembly there's a good chance you'll break it off like I did.
Hello Andy, nice kit for a conversion at 1/16 the 250/1 greetings
Great video Andy. Keep em coming I'll keep watching
Thank you Andy.
Takom don't have any plans to do a 1/16 scale 250/1 do they, similar to the 251? They could do it as Rommel's half-track GREIF, and Jason could provide a figure of Rommel.
I agree 100% !!! 👍👍Also, it's great to see vehicles & AFVs from the first half of WWII, so this version of the 2501 (and 250/3 e.g. GREIF..) would be ideal. 🙏
Another great video, do you sell many or have an opinion of Kangnam model kits? Might pick up a A6-E Intruder kit from them, never come across them before.
Takom is killing me with the Tiger Big Boxes! LOL Please, oh please release the 250 tracks as a separate set...
Great video Andy
I really hope Takom does the 252 Sd. Kfz. ammo carrier w/trailer. Why Dragon stopped production on it is beyond me.
Beautiful Tigers
Hi Andy; Have you fixed the Canadian shipping issue yet? I had heard you were looking into it. Would love to order, but hopefully without the UPS customs service fee.
I ordered it can't wait for it to show up
Ich freue mich auf den neuen Kit des Sdkfz 250 von Takom, hatte ja eigentlich gehofft, dass Tamiya mal einen neuen macht.
congrats, thanks for sharing
Early Tiger and late Tiger? Damn, now I'm on edge, I might get this. 😊
Hope u do a 1/16 king tiger with zimm. That would be great. Keep it up Andy😊
Andy …. Question! I ordered the kits in this video - SdKfz 250/1 and the Takom Big Box on 5/29. You said pre-orders should be first part of June. Can I get a status / update? Support@andy… is a dead-end. Cheers.
Hello Mr. Dalton. My team has informed me that they received your email inquiry on 6/19 and replied on 6/20. My apologies if you did not receive their correspondence. It has been resent.
My team is top notch and you can always reach them by phone if you prefer. The number is on our website. I appreciate your business and look forward to receiving these kits soon.
@@AndysHobbyHeadquarters thank you Sir … much appreciated
This looks great. Awesome prices! Ordered the little half track. Now, can we get a Tiger 1(late) in in 1/16 WITH zimmerit. Also keeping my fingers crossed on my 1/16 M42 Duster!! Along with the 1/16 M113! Be still my beating heart!
Great video
What's the difference between a bonus figure and a figure?
If you soak the *bonus* figure in a good Bavarian beer, it actually comes alive.. 😉😁
I wonder how it will stack up to the Dragon kits with the rivet counting crowd.
Looks much better. For one thing they actually include a transmission....and the interior looks more accurate too.
Do these pre order deals apply in your EU store too?
Great Tigers as well Andy!!
Takom, the Dragon slayer
Can you do a ship build again in 1:350?
If they could give you the same detail in 1/16th scale as they do 1/35th scale i might buy the bigger kits but i dont see it i see lots of resin ,3 d print replacemnet parts for the big kits where the detail should be easy to replicate on a larger scale kit .
Got the Italeri/Tamiya collaboration kit of this vehicle. Not much of a TAKOM fan anymore - discovering way too many fit problems with their kits (or - most likely - just me).
Wich kits?
@@_Jaspy_Takom Jagdtiger, front plate of the casemate is a nightmare!!!…
@@aldo5428 Thanks for the inffo, that's a bummer because i wanted to build that kit. Might go with the Tamiya one instead.
@@_Jaspy_ checkout Nightshfts channel to see how he got round the problem with the Takom Jagdtiger, his solution was way better than mine (goes without saying)…
Nice
Yay!
does anyone know a way to paint those tarps and rolled up baggage so that it doesnt reflect light and look like plastic instead of cloth? i always have to use tissue rolled up in order to not have light reflect off of them. any advice or tips?
If you build this, please show it next to a Jeep for size comparison. It seems this is not much bigger.
Seriously sir you need to start building more.
You have awesome skills, less previews more builds.
any chance of them nice people at Takom would do the 251 in 1/16 scale just asking like or if Andy himself would take it on
I agree 100%!👍ALSO, the 250/3 (with Rommel's GREIF as an option)!!
They already have. The Das Werk 251 is a Takom kit.
@@dodgysteve7699 crap I meant to say 250 yep im getting old lol
We need a 250/3 2 in 1 in 1/16
Provided I have interpreted the 250 driver figure correctly, the figure does not quite match the 1941/42 time frame. The type of peaked cap wasn’t issued until later in 1943.
🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣
True...easy to fix tho....
I don't see the Kfz 250/1any place in your online shopping site
It's a screaming deal, and the wife forbids me to purchase anymore kits due to the fact that I have 20 kits in the stash. And I have 10 kits started but not painted or finished. I have a problem with starting but not finishing the kits.
Same here, your not alone, 100+ in the stash though.
You only have 20 in your stash? ha! I have so many, I could open my own store! hahahahaha! (p.s. I am no longer married, which explains this...lol)
What is it with wives, as they always want us to lessen our stashes, considering I myself do go out with my mates and drink until I am silly, I don't smoke, and I ONLY HAVE about sixty kits in my stash, but I do have a an issue with finishing kits and keeping my dexk clean and tidy, best regards and happy modelling from Australia, Les
У вас отличные сборки моделей были будут ли они снова? Привет вам из России)
Don't understand the fascination of Tigers, SD. Kfz. 250's, Stugs and Puma's lately. So many manufacturers are releasing the same kits over and over. Looking forward to someone actually branching out to something else. The Greyhound and 113 is a good start but how about something really impressive....
A 1/16th Japanese Type 95 or 97 would be interesting.
I hear ya! 👍👍Be prepared for RFM, Meng, Border & other manufacturers to release their own 250 & for RFM, Meng & Takom to release their own 251. This has been the pattern for a number of years. As you've pointed out, we've had a year's worth of Tigers releases, a year's worth of Panther releases before that, a year's worth of StuG releases, etc., etc. I swear that, each year a separate company puts together extremely detail CAD representations of a certain vehicle/AFV, then all manufacturers release their own version of that vehicle, then that separate company chooses another vehicle, and all the manufacturers release their own version of that vehicle, and so on...🤔
It's like clockwork. Miniart announced a PUMA it seems like the same time as RFM and then Dragon rereleased theirs with some extra goodies tossed in.
I think you mean Takom versus MiniArt. They're not really competing with one another. Takom is aiming at a more intermediate modeling demographic and MiniArt are aiming at more advanced modelers with deeper pockets. MiniArt kits are getting expensive.
Can't find the half track
Great!!! More Tigers, Zzzzzzz
Dragon 2.0
Yeah I've been saying this for a while now. Takom is eating Dragon's lunch and placing themselves where Dragon was for more than 20 years. Takom is also much more diverse --their first 1:35 kit was a BMW 750i. Really smart choices. And their T-55s are simply excellent.
Fantastic video!!
Nice presentation great kits Andy....must have!! Darn, you Andy!!!! Lol
Just kidding !!!
Beautiful kits!!
The tracks look workable or articulate is that true?
Takom is killing Tamiya ! 😅
Dragon*
I don't think Tamiya are too concerned. They're aiming at a less experienced demographic. When I want to glide through a build I'll open a Tamiya kit.
