Thanks for this. Are all of the screws the same size by type? IOW, are all of the cross head screws the same length, and all the tri-wing screws their own size, etc.?
Nope frustratingly they are not. Thats why at the start of every video I can't stress enough to keep this screws organised! Take your time with it and I'm sure you'll smash the repair!
Hi, I’m a wannabe tech enthusiast and i love watching your videos. I wish to reach a point where i can do these repairs myself. I’ve had some practice changing batteries, screens and cameras on iPhone 6 and 7 models and I now wish try my hand at newer models. Might you have any advice? Second, My current phone is a 13 pro and it’s developed the “No service” bug where it doesn’t get reception and it just says no service. I converted to an esim thinking that might help but no such luck. Do you know what might be wrong cause sometimes i turn it on and it works but only for a few minutes and the istore is charging me 60% what i payed for the phone to get it repaired. Again really love your channel and keep up the good work. Any assistance is much appreciated too.
No worries mate. What you see here is of an overseeable difficulty level. I only struggle sometimes with not knowing to where a flex is all attached and so fear to rip it off.
I’ve been a (self-taught) repair technician for some time now, if you can work on an iPhone 7 the newer models are quite similar. The adhesives are just stronger and some of the plates and smaller parts are usually smaller or in different places, otherwise the concept is mostly the same. Lol if this is the istore in Northampton. They’re apple certified resellers, they don’t do repairs in house as they get sent out to apples warehouses to be dealt with. When my in warranty iPhone SE 2016 had problems, they just sent the phone away and replaced the entire front of the phone. But when my iPhone XR’s NFC died they wanted £340 to fix it. Was far too much as I just went to CEX and bought myself an iPhone 11 Pro Max. That bug is entirely motherboard damage so I’d honestly just buy another phone and sell it for parts, it’s completely uneconomical to repair unless you care about it that much you want to fix it.
@@Plainapple287 Thank you man. I have an iPhone X of mine I’ve been meaning to to a battery replacement on and now i think I’m kinda ready. I was not ready to buy a new phone anytime soon but I guess I haven’t much choice now. All the same thank you for your answer and your help.
Ahh, the working place is a mess again… Short half-life.. 😂 Concerning razor blades, the aluminium gets scratched too easy, thus I only use plastic tools.
Professional, efficient and good explanation, thank you
I love your videos
I think its a safe assumption that if you have an heat mat you won't need the video

Did you google the defect? Is there any hint at what parts is might be or not? And have you tried a shop other than Apple for a fix?
