Werner fits the Angeball forward profile so well. He's not the guy to receive the ball with his back to goal and make things happen, he's all about direct play, running into the box, stretching the defense, receiving and playing the cutbacks. That's exactly what Ange is looking for. Combine that system fit with a player desperate to make an impression on his national team coach Nagelsmann, who he played under at Leipzig, in the last moment before the Euros and I think this signing has the potential to be a smash hit.

Jeff is great. A shame he is at Talk as it is owned by the Murdoch's, who also own The Sun (The Scum). They create sensational headlines and they have character assassinated so many players and managers over the years, including those of the national team. Some say they are enemies of the state. Liverpool has banned them for a reason.
Anybody who knows football realizes that this is a very smart signing. If he is poor Spurs send him back simple. Only the people who are a little bit worried of Spurs being stronger will say this is a bad signing.

Ange loves pacey hard working forwards they will create enough chances for Werner
Only played two but failed to say "Werner had a six-match absence due to an adductor issue." and that was just him being back in training. RB now have Lois Openda, Werner is a no brainer for a loan deal
Can't go wrong with this loan deal, if it doesn't work its only a loan deal, if it does work out with the possibility of option to buy, think it's decent
with that pace he will be tasked to feed it into the 6 yard box - that is how Ange likes it played - a decent loan !

He ain’t going to get 7 or 8 goals but Timo can run attacks on the left because he is very fast. Big issue is his delivery and if he can supply 7 or 8 assists for Richarlison then it’s a good gamble.

Can’t see this being a bad signing tbh. Yes he doesn’t plant his feet before striking the ball and is too quick to hit and not place the ball, under Ange in these spurs tactics he could absolutely fly.
Spurs also don't need him to clinical like Son, long as he's able to get to the by-line and get a ball or get at least 1 of those 5 chances he gets in the back of the net.
Trouble with the Spurs vs Man City game is Son, Bissouma and Sarr will be on duty in Asia Cup and AFCON besides all the injuries Man City might actually get to score a goal at Tottenham.

The issue with Timo Werner failing at Chelsea was their expectations for Werner's goal totals based solely on his recent goal totals at Leipzig.
The key for me here is there's no issue with Timo's work rate, so he fits the model of character Ange seeks, nor his speed which is required in Ange's system. This is not a Tanguy N'dombele situation of a player who can't be bothered with doing the work.
Granted, Ange got more than a look at Werner at his best and may still be smarting from what Timo did to Celtic in the CL, but a loan spell with an option to buy gives Ange (who hardly waivers about anything) more than enough time to assess whether he wants him.
As Ange has said before, you cannot buy the best 24 players in the world and mold them into a team. Werner could be great for Spurs or score little more than Richarlison. Timo might start or fit in well as a member of the "depth squad" and "lack of depth" has been Spurs' Achilles Heel for decades. Time will tell.
I want him to have success by more then number of G/A, and hope he earns time starting or first off bench when Son returns. But best statment will be scoring brace or more at Chelsea, helping Spurs win at bridge. That would give him and team confidence to go on tear in final 3 months!!
