@@sunflower5741 do you know the story in Mark 9 where Jesus asks a man if he believes? The man's response is, "yes Lord I believe, help my unbelief". I have prayed a similar thing for forgiveness: Lord I forgive them, help my unforgiveness. I just let Him know that I want to forgive, but I don't know how. He withholds no good thing. So just keep asking. ❤️❤️

Can you imagine the first word out of Jesus’ mouth was,”forgive them, for they know not what they do!”

Father help us to FORGIVE others as you Forgive us daily. I love you and truly want to be in your perfect and divine will.

I loved what Elaine added at the end about not necessarily reconciling. Also, for much of my life I denied myself the process required to get to forgiveness. I stuffed my feelings of anger and hurt, which made me a pressure cooker, ready to burst. I've realized that the God given emotion of anger is ok, as long as I don't act upon it inappropriately. For me, when I have been hurt I have to go through this process, similar to grief. I'm constantly working on staying connected to my Father, praying and expressing my hurt and even rage, asking him to change my heart. Sometimes forgiveness comes quickly but most of the time not. Regardless, it comes and I get to the place God wants me ❤.

She says she's at peace with it but as I listened to this conversation, it's like we are settling with this "poison" and it's killing both of us... I'm hurting knowing that I have a sister who treats me like a stranger. PLEASE 🙏 pray for resolution

Yet I am choosing to forgive him although I haven't completely so I can released from this bondage of anger, disappointment and sadness. Can you continue to live with a narcissistic husband and forgive them and expect them to be normal? Just asking, because i dont understand

    • @Bettyboop991
      @Bettyboop991 2 года назад +1

@@shm7669 no you cannot. I really believe they have a childhood wound that allows the enemy to enter in. They were taught both that they are amazing special people and at the same time (usually by the other parent) that they are worthless and bad. So they try to bury the worthless kid inside and believe they are smarter, better and basically a god. Narcissist’s do not admit wrong or go for counseling. So if they don’t believe they need to change they never will. The issue is that they are abusive. Until you set strong boundaries and get away nothing will change. You absolutely are called to forgive and pray for them but you may need to separate for your own peace.

Elaine Fisher is right in that sometimes an act of kindness can be praying for them. The Bible even says to pray for those who despitefully use you in Luke 6:38. And that is a verse that Victoria Osteen was mentioning. There are times when people are hurtful towards you. And it may not be the best idea to be around them. But you can forgive them, lift them up in prayer and make a choice not to speak negatively about them. From personal experience I can say that those things may not be the easiest things to do. But they are the best things to do for them and for yourself.

Thank you so much Better Together for this message.
Please I have a few questions...
    1. How do you forgive when the other is not asking or even sorry for what they did?
    2. Is it bad when you remember the things they did? Or sometimes talk about these hurtful things when they pop up?
    3. How can you really overcome that pain. I try to forgive but after I remember the wrong and still feel hurt so much.

We also need to recognize that the Holy Spirit may advise us to connect/reconcile with someone. Because HE knows their heart and intentions towards you, and that they can end up being violent towards you. Or choose to continue to fight and argue with you constantly as an attempt to steal your joy, peace, sanity, and distract you from your assignment from GOD. And that they will not change, so as she mentioned showing love through prayer for them, and speaking the word of GOD from a distance. Maybe the only way that you can go.

“Amen your right ; it helped me ,when I was upset with people But I had to go to God to ask Him for help with thatin forgiveness
;because it was very difficult at first But now it’s
Much easier ;Today I can forgive ,before God He changes the whole attitude.(obedience to God not man),reason why I say this is because I have met just some ruthless attitudes just towards me allowing the Lord to-change my Life ,I realized it should change it can be nicer and nontoxic,a Bible studying and mt(6:33) “Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.take my yoke upon you,and learn of me;for I am meek and lowly in heart;and ye shall find rest unto your souls.for my yoke is easy, and my burdens are light.” And the most interesting part for me was i had been through so so so so “MUCH”, just wanted to blame everybody,UNTIL, while I was in my meditation
One night Ian’s I don’t don’t know it just came out of me as I was pouring my heart to God while I was talking to the LORD everybody I knew names start to come to my mind even the bad and unsavory attitude I had around a co-worker in my past came to my mind my sister;cousins;Past mentors ;children that thought wasn’t understanding It was then when I finally let these people GO!,sometime we’re looking for God to LET THE PEOPLE GO. but that I LET THE PEOPLE GO that had my heart in clutter,And God in still peeling back layers of all sorts ,time I think I don’t have nothing else to pray about the LORD said we ought to pray for one another, although they may or may not be praying for me I STILL pray for them as well ,Not because I’m somebodies pushover ,But I making sure that when I bend my knees /raise my hands/bow my face to Praise or worship or even Go to God to ask Him for anything I want to sure my heart is clear;sometimes when im not so sure THAN I ask Him to speak to my heart ;search my heart and examine my judgement search it out because right now im Not so sure But,however my heart HAS to be clear for me ,so that I can get the LORD TO HELP ME IN MY TIME OF NEED. my pain;my future;my enemies which is the devil not people it’s
The devil he wants to take claim of what BELONGS TO GOD.(my heart) Belongs to the LORD .
