I was the Internet Sales Manager on the phone call. Appreciate the good conversation and definitely a more engaging phone call that I’ve had in a long while. Hope your client found a great deal.
You actually sounded like someone I would enjoy working with, which is a rare thing to say as a buyer, at least in my experience. Quick to the point, still fun and enjoyable but no extra bs, still needing your cut and being firm after being fair. Good stuff, need more like you
"Hope your client found a great deal." So this deal wasn't closed/fell through? Why?
@@DF-go8fi did not buy from me. Not sure why 🤷♂️
The "math off" was funny. LOL🤣
LOL
Awesome conversation! It's always refreshing when dealerships don't get bent out of shape when their math isn't "mathing" hahahaha
Well done!
CQA said today that you have to physically go into dealerships to get deals. You do it on the phone. Nice!!!!
Yo! That is my local dealership lol, they are gouging a-holes, still acting like it's 2021
There is a video coming soon that’s even worse in this area
We need to shame them on google reviews
@@chrisandrade03X Hemet, CA
i went to hemit from oceanside thinking i would get a good deal. you all must be rich not including the mark ups, they added 5 grabs in add ons..lol@@YuGiOhDuelChannel
One of our local chevy lots were selling leftover 2.0 turbo Equinox's asking $6000 over msrp! (They upheld a covid "lot fee" which was 2 grand of that). Still blamed a shortage of chips.
Great video. Honestly, the biggest help for me was the realization that I can just get this 99% done online. I know exactly what i want and what i should pay but dreading going in and dealing with overly excited sales people. I dont like to "shop", i just want to go pick up my purchase at the agreed upon price and leave, should be simple lol
This is great! Thanks for posting this.
Buying cars is such an antiquated way of buying/selling. Amazes me it still exists. My time is worth to much to me.
5500 turn around. That's impressive.
Thank you!
Also have to figure the sales tax saved on that amount.
Bro! I was at Lexus trying to buy a TX they gave me a price at 67,548 for a Luxury, and when I tried to make an appointment to go there! They said they cannot do it until 68k. Dafud 😂
Solid negotiation. Good to see Asian brands and dealers finally budging. Not just domestic.
It's good to see the change!
Baiden administration recently put crazy 🤪 tax on Chinese made cars. On their electric cars TAX now is over 💯 % !!! 🤔
Hi friend I enjoyed seeing this live and thanks for the edit. I would love it if you could post the full live on your channel. I have a weird work schedule and can't always watch it live and sometimes it says video has been deleted. I like listening to the whole 2 plus hours and watching how the sausage is made.
How much discount do u see for a 2024 ford mustang gt premium off the msrp
This is great. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching!
NEVER EVER tell them that you found a car in Texas ...BUT you have to pay to ship it to you. Instead what I say is my brother lives in Texas and I can get a flight for $125.00 and take a vacation so the fuel driving back is all part of the cost of my vacation. In other words, if I buy in Texas it will only cost me $125.00, so it's worth it to me to save 4K buying from them.
Eh, I’m real with them. They won’t compete with Texas. Even if I could do it cheaper. It’s a crazier market and they know it. I also didn’t have a shipping quote lol
Damn, pretty sure I’m buying this car in September, so super lucky this popped up
Fyi all of these dealers with " Great reviews" get them from bribing customers, typically through a free tank of gas (That's right many of them are not filling up the tank with a purchase anymore)
Man Your channel is addicting brother ❤
It's fun to watch the "dance" with these sales people. 🤙
Go Tomi!! Love the calls! Metallica. He is the 3rd person, he asks himself again. lol How do you get it in writing before the client goes to the dealership? Wouldn't t they be worried that you would use that for a higher discount at another dealership?
Coming from a professional salesperson/manager, this is a great interchange, no entitled customer and a good dealer. Just so you guys know, we also watch all of these youtube videos that customers watch ;)
lol that’s great! Great training tools :)
@@Delivrd Exactly!
Cool video. I don’t follow too deeply. But do you actually buy the vehicles for clients or?
This is gold! Lmaooo thank you! What a good back and forth.
Tommy, great work. Wondering how you can leverage some of these RAV4 hybrids in the Midwest to where there’s none of them available in the lots and a lot of people have their deposits down? Would love your take on this. Thank you.
Good question! Open your radius, don't be afraid to ship!
Was it in Hemet ? Really helpful !
Nice negotiation bro. You the man!
Appreciate it!
Nice! Something to note: the Texas RAV4 is in Gulf States Toyota, so it probably has extra adds that raise the MSRP versus the CA car. It probably has a higher doc fee than the $85 in CA.
Also, when you talk to dealers, how do they know you’re qualified? I know a big objection to negotiating is knowing if you’re even pre-approved for the vehicle. Why waste time if you’re a 500 and even Credit Acceptance won’t touch you, a dealer may think.
I am so glad you know all of these things.... The other dealer did not. Negotiation is a game of chess, one side knows how to play.
Information is power in negotiations. If they knew the market as well as you, they could call me out.
And normally confidence helps with making sure you are qualified. Most confident people aren't going to make these demands without credit to back it up.
@@Delivrd Agreed on both. Good to not bring it up, but just what I’ve seen.
How much would you pay for a 24 colorado LT fully loaded. Out the door price?
Would love to see a video like this in Canada with Canada deals.
Would there be less deals due to less mark ups?
Love your videos ❤
Thank you for watching
Great Vid! Do you think I can negotiate the new Toyota Camry 2025?
T240697 is a J-VIN vehicle. Even better. T240856 has no market adjustment. Maybe you could get even more discount off that unit.
Lol really enjoy the banter
Pity your not in Australia I would use you for my next car
One day :)
I'm in CA. Been looking for a gas one just like this with just the convenience package (not the all weather one) and out of 15 dealerships, the best I could do is 2k off MSRP/ no add ons for one that's still being built for delivery in June...In the old days, I feel like I could do better but the toyota I want isn't on the ground yet within 500 miles of me.
It’s a tough package. 2k off one on the ground isn’t a bad deal at all
Be careful....sometimes the car comes in and they sell it over mfsp to a client clamoring to buy one.
@@Delivrd I was able to buy a 24 rav4 XLE gas last week for 2,300 off MRSP using your techniques. Thank You!
Can you negotiate anything off on a new 2025 Camry XSE .
Do these negotiations more. Im a new sub. As a matter of fact, you should try to get people to pay for your services. Id pay you to negotiate a car for me.
He does. Go to his site under the description
great channel
Not on the west coast! You still have problems getting inventory
Nice job! And fast. Do you think you can be as successful negotiating a new BMW (e.g., 530i) when there is only one dealer in town?
Yes, absolutely. Open your radius
At most dealerships, MSRP is already the dealerships cost, so breaking even. When they sell a car in the negatives it’s just based on the hope that they make up for it a little bit in the back end, and they’re desperate to reach a monthly unit quota… not worth it for them. Getting good service but maybe paying $500-2000 bucks more over the span of 7-8 years is more the way to go.
I'm new here, but, what I've taken so far is, you gotta play hard ball. One question I have is, why do they try to get you into the dealership? Does that provide some sorta edge to them? Or, is it just to guage if you're a serious buyer? Do people often just play with them?
Its easier to scam you when your in the pressure cooker. The whole drawn out process and exhaustion of being in a dealership plays to their favor
Note the before visit the dealership .... it is the law. "The CARS Rule requires dealers to clearly disclose the offering price the actual price anyone can pay to get the car, excluding only required government charges. Before they visit the dealership and throughout the transaction, consumers have the right to know the drive-off-the-lot price. "
I got in touch with a broker who works with wholesalers from the dealers and got the XLE premium hybrid w accessories for cheaper than what they were offering you on that LE hybrid. Still a great bartering on the phone. Saves the hassle of dealing with the salesman at the dealer.
This is a demo for people. My XLE premiums I normally do are close to 4k off
This is insane! I got my 2021 xle rav4 hybrid at MSRP for 34,500. That ridiculous dealer add-ons are a big NOPE! Trust me you can shop at other dealers and get it for MSRP. Keep in mind hybrid rav4 are hard to come by in many places but it is not like a Sienna where you have virtually no room for negotiations.
We got it below. No worries. Cali is a different market. We just did 4k off a XLE hybrid the other day in texas
So ive notice in sum dealerships they try to not budge with last years inventory. And when i walk away and contact them the next day, they said that they sold it, but they have this years model in transit for ridiculous prices. They argue that the inventory is low and these types of vehicles (EV from Subaru) sell like hot cakes. They send me a link of this new car, while the car that they sold that i wanted was still on their inventory site, at an even lower price that i negotiated for. By at least 3k. I played dumb and said that the link to this new car in transit was broken, twice. Each time asked if they update their website regularly. And yet still the original car that i wanted based on 116 days on their lot, is still available. And as of now its back up 10k from they tried to get rid of it. I got proof. I got pictures
Find a different dealership. Anyone telling you that that a Subaru EV is selling like hot cakes is just lying.
The problem is I live on long island. Where all the dealerships around here are owned by a few people. Once I give up my info, the info would be available at the next dealership down the block, doesn't matter if it's a different brand. I would need to look 100 miles outside, or even out of state.
If you want the email that they sent me and use an example for your live streams, shorts, or tutorials, just ask how you want it. But you probably already seen how bad it is. In the email:
So here is the deal: the one that we test drove yesterday was sold right after you left. No more 2023's; however, you will be getting a deal as good as if it was a 2023 on a brand new 2024.
I will have one coming in on may 10th that is still available; same trim level as the one we drove; this one is white color. You can always use your own finance; however, remember Subaru is offering the 0% APR X 72 MONTHS.
This is the deal i will offer you, (which straight forward is my best deal, no games, no extras when you come to pick up, etc)
2024 SOLTERRA PREMIUM MSRP $47,524.
Selling price 45,400
Dmv fees :$186
Taxes : $3,943
Total $49,530
At this precise moment, this 2024 is available; you have an option to put a reservation on it if decided to move forward.
Please advise.
Let me ask, with the post seen above, have you seen worse deals than this?
Nice
👍
So whem people say out the door price. Is that tax tittle and fee included ? Like the number yall said is all that included or then yall gon add the rest ? You probly said it in the vodeo and i didnt pay enough attention
Yes when people say out the door, that means all taxes and fees included
I can’t lie 4k over a hybrid rav4 right now is crazy work 😭😭😭
Who do you use to get cars shipped to you?
I would have charged you an extra fee for calling me “my guy”.
mark ups in 2024 get you a "my guy" at best.
@@EdwinC-xp8mkcharging me for getting the best price…. Yeah we’ll see about that shit.. hell is he smoking on
10:23 make him think twice lol
I just purchased a Rav4 Hybrid AWD with upgrades like Aluminum Wheels, Mud guards, All weather mats for $35,200 out the door price. They charged me a $31,300 msrp. However I’ve been listening to Criss Voss, negotiated the deal, and it just saved me and the fam ~3k. They also took my trade in without it being in the dealership. It’s broken down and I am towing it to them tomorrow.
Never Split The Difference is awesome!
So did they charge you $35,200 or $31,300?
@@ns6490 $31,300 for the MSRP and $35,100 out the door price. Don’t get caught up in “Dealers have the upper hand”. It is ok to ask for the better price. What’s the worst that can happen?
Where ? South cal ?
@@nirajkulung Miami, Fl
Did your "trade-in allowance" hold up once they had a look at your broken car?
rav 4 is high volume selling vehicle though so they may still have shortages
so Texas is 2,800 off msrp. hemet, california is 1,500. big difference. couldn't you have done better? or are the markets so different?
California is a Heavy user of hybrid vehicles and here in texas that market is growing but not as crazy as cali. I work for a Toyota dealer in south texas
It’s the anticipation…..they always always do the dance around.
Customers do it also, it goes both ways. Coming from a salesman.
I got 8.96% below MSRP on a RAV several weeks ago.
Where?
Where? What trim level?
BRO index your videos I love the live streams 20+ years in sales but I wanna see your start to actual 100% finish without skipping ahead for an hour
Lexus in SF Bay Area basically it’s if you don’t like the add-ons too bad because there’s another person that will buy this car right away. I’m talking about NX 350 H.
We just did a negotiation for 3k off this car in that area!
I’ve been walking out of dealerships for three years now ha ha that’s OK. I got a lot of steps.
I got an end of year 2023 SQ5 12% off MSRP, but i took the $2k hit on add-ons. I was happy with the deal.
Thats not a bad discount!
I sold cars for a short time and what I learned it’s such a scam, it was a constant back and fourth game of bait and switch, I hated it. The dealership would care less if you sold new, they wanted you selling there massively marked up used inventory.🖕🏼
Used is where the money is at
shop LONGO TOYOTA IN EL MONTE California. All these shady dealerships need to be called out on BS practices like this. This is Gosch Toyota ....absolutely insane that we are living in 2024 and there are business's that have these shady practices that hurt customers.
Are you able to negotiate a 2024 corolla hybrid? It’s in such a high demand idk if its possible to even negotiate
You can but its TOUGH!
Your sound is much better
We are working on it :)
For the record, Toyota sold 434, 944 RAV4s in calendar 2023. That is about 1,191 a DAY. They want to sell them, but they don't NEED to sell them. Negotiation is cool, as is getting a great deal, but you have to be realistic too. Want a GREAT deal, work on picking up a Venza. Total sales in 2023... 29,907.
# of gross sales isn't a good benchmark. For example, Toyota may have produced 500,000 RAV4's in 2023 and sold the 434,944, and perhaps they produced 30,000 Venza's and sold 29,907 of them. By a percentage of total production, they would have sold more Venzas than RAV4's You really should be looking at average days of supply.
Is this price before tax, license etc…?
The price is always before sales tax and registration fees. The price is the total amount paid to the dealer for the vehicle. The sales tax and registration fees are paid to the state.
How can they sell cars for under msrp? What do they pay for them
Invoice is what they own they for
Really flirting there for the last few minutes
I thought I was watching Lauren Compton on one of her first date videos.
Do you go in with the client?
Is there a client?
Did you get the car?
Or just negotiating for fun?
You just made it past the first boss time for the F& I office where they really get you.
I don’t, I’m there virtually for them. Yes. Always a client :)
@@Delivrdwhen a different person walks in the next morning, how do they pick up with that current deal?
And how to make sure the dealer doesn’t pull a fast one? And add a cost to it. (They drove all the way here, add $1,000 he won’t know)
Would love to see you negotiate on new Ford Mustang GT’s. looking at them
I can add it to the list!
All the lots i've seen have plenty of them. Shouldn't be to difficult.
@@chrisfrank8413 surprisingly. many being listed under MSRP. The hype faded quick for the Mustangs. Great looking cars though
@@chrisfrank8413surprisingly a lot of them are on dealer lots with a few grand taken off MSRP. Thought they’d be selling a lot better
Lol. "A couple goodies on it" the blind spot monitering and all safety features are standard since 2022.
It’s actually not standard on the LE but an added option.
I told you prices were going down.
4:53 voice crack
Can you call a dealership and negotiate a SUV and see what happens it freehold Mitsubishi in NJ they were such an asshold, it a 2019 Audi e-tron premium plus quattro AWD for 28,072 they treating me like crap like I'm a nobody they didn't even want to talk to me I waited there for 15 minutes before someone came and say something to me
Do you work in NY or know anyone who does?
I do yes.
Blocks out the name of the dealership, but leaves the phone number available
"Huge" discount? You rented 2k, he gave you 1 5, minus your fee.... How much customer ends up with?
Every dealership is 4k above msrp and there are 4 in a 8 hr radius. We got 5500 off. And ended up getting another 500 after the video
@@Delivrdwait so you did end up getting 2k back of MSRP? What was your strategy there? Did you end up negociating further at the dealership? Good work! You’re always very relaxed on your calls.
Are you negotiating on behalf of someone for a fee?
Never mind. I just saw your website.
Lol yes I am :)
These sales guys are all the same 😂
Wait so you got $5500 off on a $39k car! That's 15% off what they were initially asking crazy
No, it was $1500 off. The other $4k was "fluff"
You said you don't like to play the back and forth. Tomi! You literally PLAY the back and forth. What a lie Tomi
I don’t like to play the game. My goal is for them to give me the discount I ask for originally. If they do we buy the car immediately
It’s always fun walking into a dealership with a little knowledge, they start to squirm because they can’t use there only tactic they have, which is a potential uneducated customer. Education yourself folks before buying guaranteed to save yourself a few thousand.
Copy that
Well, you are a good negotiator cheesy dialogue between you and some of the sales people is a bit much hard to listen to just drop the corn ball comedy attempts
It’s fun, I believe having fun helps negotiations
wait wait hold up... you can go LOWER than the MSRP????!!!
lol yes
