“If you don’t know about the story of Pinocchio, i don’t know what to tell you…Theres a whale, theres a kid, who is wood, and his nose grows into a tree, have fun with that.” Best plot summary of all time. I imagine someone who doesn’t know the story hearing that description. They’d be like “did she just have a stroke, or is that the craziest movie ever made…?”
Have you thought about doing a video on your favorite Twilight Zone episodes? It has been my favorite show since I was 13 and would love to hear your thoughts on it if you enjoy it.
I'm not here to pull you apart because of you not liking Avatar, but I feel like I should show myself cause there's a narrative spreading that people actually don't like it that much, just watch it for the visuals. Well let me tell you that's not the case and for me it's a lifetime event same as Titanic and the first Avatar were. I'm invested in characters, kids were wonderful, story was captivating and emotional and also I was in the movie! I live in Wellington and was lucky to be an extra and be directed by James Cameron. Imagine me biggest Avatar and Cameron's fan in the world and actually meeting my idol :) not even mentioning that was the reason why I moved to NZ from Slovakia haha, because I knew they were gonna be making next Avatar movies here :)
New movies I watched on December 2022 -Barton Fink -Gone Girl -Babylon -The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo(2011) -2046 -I, Tonya -The Banshees of Inisherin -The Birds -Bullet Train -The Blues Brothers -Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid -Hellraiser 3 -Jeanne Dielman -Thelma and Louise -The French Dispatch
Puss in Boots somehow ended up being my favorite of the year, with Babylon almost basically tying. Emma, if you love the creation of movies, I think you'd really enjoy Babylon!

Great list, several here I haven't seen. Triangle of Sadness is now on my list! Also, Happy New Year Emma, hope 2023 is a successful, happy and healthy one for you!
Loved Triangle of Sadness, the centerpiece is one of the funniest vomit scenes I've ever seen, up there with Monty Python-Meaning of Life, Stand by me and Problem Child 2.
Did you get enough Murine for Christmas? 🥺 Armed and ready for more disturbing movies! Been way too cheerful around here. Have a wonderful New Year. Stay safe and spooky!!!🙃👍
I watched the original Swedish A Man Called Ove, and it was fantastic. I read the book first and the movie had me laughing and crying just as much. I didn't know there was an American version! I'll have to check that one out.
Little Otik is a good movie to check out! It's somewhat sad, funny & disturbing all at the same time. Happy & prosperous New Year to Emma, Gromit & all the spooky astronaut kats who prowl the world near & far!!!🌵🥴🌵

Damn Australian kid you sure saw a lot this month. Can't wait to see your letterboxd wrap up with the director and actor you seen the most in 2022. I saw 98 movies in 2022. Which has to me the most I've seen in my 7 years on the site. Happy new year Emma.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who didn't like Avatar. It just felt like one long visual effects showcase, I don't really even remember much about the story itself. The plot is so thin and forgettable.
You didn't like Avatar??!?! WHAT?!?! 😆Also I'm sad that Violence Voyager just missed out being on the list haha but I'm glad you liked Triangle of Sadness that's one of my tops of the year too.
@@spookyastronauts yeah it just happened to fall in that no-man’s land where you watched it in November but after doing your monthly wrap up for November 😆 That’s a good trick to remember for the future if you want to see something that might be controversial and don’t want to have to talk about it at all, just squeeze it in there and no one has to know 😆
My favorite characters in White Lotus were the Italian girls. They were the only ones who seemed truly happy with who they are. Everyone else is secretly miserable faking their way through life.
I just watched Not Okay. It definitely reminded me of Red Rocket. I loved Red Rocket so I went to see it again and I took my friend to see it, and he wasn’t into it 😂

That Tom hanks Pinocchio movie came out here in the u.s. back in September for Disney+ and I seen and I liked it and I wasn’t interested in the Netflix Pinocchio movie because I liked the one with tom hanks. If you have Disney+ in Australia then I recommend that movie to you
