This is my first sight of the Fauvel in flight, all I can say is wow! I have plans to make a 3 meter model, I'm a lot more motivated to tackle it now. I've flown a lot of model tailless gliders and this would be the largest.
That's a great project, i wish you a lot of success. Thanks for watching 😎👍
Is there a chance to get the plans @Martin Albion? I am thinking about making a smaller scale of it.
Wow that was awesome! Thanks for taking me along.
Thanks for watching my video.😎👍
Sad news about the accident. What superb energy retention that wing had. I have seen the Old Warden AV36 and was amazed by that one too. Unpowered aerobatics are the most!!!
Just came across the video...
I was there when the accident happened and I also know the pilot.
Unfortunately, he is paraplegic today.
According to the examination, the reason was probably weaknesses in the spar caused by a fungal infection.
Pushing the limits like this on a 59 year old airframe! No wonder it broke up! Although I must admit it was an impressive display.
Absolutely true...Congrats !
Beautiful glider!
What a beautiful display and aircraft
Very unique design, but performs well. 😎 Thanks for watching my video👍
@@705547 Oh yes it is. And nice camera work.
Amazing display. 😆.
Sorry to hear about the accident. 🤕
need to make another one , it is amaziing
There always seems to be a stigma with these wing designs and I read below this one broke up, structural failure ?, I hope the pilot made a full recovery.
I noticed there were no spins in the display which makes me think that it may not be able to withstand them or spin recovery may be questionable.
This glider broke up during a display on 25th September 2016 at Haiterbach-Nagold Airfield. The pilot parachuted to safety, but was seriously injured.
Oh, very sad news. I hope the pilot gets well soon.
Always thought it looked as thought they forgot the fuselage.
Unique design with a great performance 😎👍
Poor old Fauvel! Does anybody just soar in them?
There was a pilot of model club power only! Who saw a glider getting highrrer without the use Of the string or to line and he started a have a nervous breakdown It's wife I had to come pick him up and take him home he didn't know what that what thermals were. He kept saying it can't be that it can't be that!!! that's just a long string that took it there that was a last thing he said before he stopped talking!!!😬😬😬
Will it DS?
I like it are there plans for it?
Yes, Falconaravia in Canada sells plans.
am.azing machine ,,, sorry to hear about the accident
Grounding a glider is an easa decision valid for thé whole Europe. Anyway, very few AV36 or 361 in flight condition still surviving in France.
Ich habe früher Nurflüglermodelle konstruiert
Gobsmacking!
Amazing plane 😀
Suite à cet accident, les AV36 sont grounded.
The AV36 is grounded in Germany. Do you know if the AV36 gliders in France are grounded also?
qu'elle accident?
