Love that you shopped around Nashville! Cool Springs Wine and Spirits in Franklin TN was probably one of the ones he meant by “down 65”, they’ve got an unbelievable selection (and an entire craft beer room)
That Hudson "Bright Lights, Big Bourbon" is in my Top 3 worst bottles I've ever had. 1. Balcones Single Barrel Cask Strength Rye (135 proof) 2. Hudson "Bright Lights, Big Bourbon" 3. Castle & Key (Batch 2)
Midtown is good, out east vintage wine and spirits is great, down south cool springs wine and spirits is good further south elixir is amazing small store with Soo much in it. Frugal is good for not marked up prices imo.
Next time you all are up 65 do your self a favor and stop in Spring Hill Tn and tour the Parkway store . Large selection , several barrel picks , will not disappoint...
It not Nashville it’s a little south but Elixir spirits in Spring Hill isn’t far of I65. They have a ton of picks and a huge selection for a small store! Worth stopping next time you are around for sure!
Here in the Phoenix area we have great liquor stores that have bottles all mixed together in each section. Alot of really old metal shelving unit style. You have to get down on your knees sometimes and move the front facing shelf bottles to get to dusty treaure bottles that could be lurking in the shadowy corners on the shelves. It is kind of a free-for-all here. You never know what bottles are hidden behind the standard bottles....that is all part of the fun of it for me. Then you get to blow the dust off a treasure bottle you found sitting there for who knows how long.Could be hidden back there for years. There could be a rare bottle hidden behind a half row Jack Daniels,it makes it like a true hunt fun time.
Bourbon hunting video idea: Have someone else go in and pick their top 5 bottles. Then you go in and pick your top five bottles. Then compare and buy. Won't be able to get to too many stores though.
You were just 2-3 miles from our front door during this one! Since you asked, Nashville is a store pick heavy town and those store wouldn’t rank high for us. We don’t visit them at all. For shelf available products Frugal MacDoogal isn’t too bad though (even though Total Wine now dominates the shelf available category in the area). Nashville Daily Spirits and Brinkmann’s were close by and two of the best stores for picks in the area.
We talked about visiting those stores, but J and Will were gassed from the derby week. You're right, Daily and Brinkmann's do some really great picks. Maybe another time!
Missed opportunity on the hill rock. They can be pricy but they do some creative stuff with finishing. I can’t remember if they make their own juice or source though
Hey chief, i work at Hudson Whiskey, and I will say Bright lights isnt our best product, but its a good bourbon. Our 7 year is a worlds better neat, wheras bright lights is a cocktail whiskey that can be drank neat. Its come way a long way from baby bourbon, and should have some credit for being the first NY whiskey since prohibition and starting distilleries throughout NY. Adding to that, that Hillrock is phenomenal. As said by other people their finishes are delicious, it's a bold rye that is one to try.
Mr Whiskers and CorkDorks had some good selections. I just got Obtainium Canadian Whiskey 77.2 ABV and 26 year old. It was distilled in 1995. The year I got married and and also the year my first child was born.
more shots of the store selection, more talk to the shop owners about how they handle allocations and etc. For the shops that charge stupid prices start asking them why their prices are so high and how much they sell at that insane price.
If you head a little west to the Bellevue area, Iroquois Wine and Spirits was featured in the bourbon documentary “Neat”. They have a really good bourbon selection.
I’m very picky with ryes because I’m much more of a bourbon guy but I will tell you that I always have a bottle of rare breed rye. To me it’s strangely more smooth than the rare breed bourbon which I always have a bottle of that. Both worth always having a bottle on the shelf. Buy the rare breed rye. You won’t regret it
My local liquor store’s barrel pick of Penelope Toasted is not good. The owner, the workers, and all the guys in my bourbon club all agree that it was subpar. Maybe worth $25 but definitely not worth the $70 price tag.
FYI, you can do barrel picks through Southern Collective Spirits or Nashville Barrel Company if you're looking for high quality MGP, Heaven Hill, or NC-based Southern Distilling.
Love your videos man, I find them very entertaining. I’m a tequila collector myself and I love just going to liquor stores and browsing and seeing what they have.
So I use to love bourbon but after I got diagnosed with celiacs disease I’ve noticed I get sick every time I try it so I’ve switched to gin but I know nothing on gin I would love to see you do gin and gin drink reviews
@@Brewzle if you ever come across the Hardywood Gingerbread Stout Series, some of them are barrel aged (if I remember correctly) and the complexity and taste in them is so delightful. I believe they come out around the Christmas season in 4pks. They are truly dark beer specialists! And sorry, I do know it's a bourbon channel, but every once in a while you try beer, so wanted to share.

I think it's very nice of your twin brother to also be one of your Patreon subscribers.
I don’t even drink, and I still can’t get enough of these videos 😂
Same 😂
Same
I’m learning so much about whiskey from these videos!
I don't drink much but am a Bourbon guy...what kills me is watching the prices he gets bottles at. : (
Same here. I don’t miss drinking either, but these videos make me wish I was into whiskey and bourbon like this when I did drink
Love that you shopped around Nashville! Cool Springs Wine and Spirits in Franklin TN was probably one of the ones he meant by “down 65”, they’ve got an unbelievable selection (and an entire craft beer room)
His boy look just like his momma. He dumb as rocks though.boy couldn't get order right after being reminded 20 times
Frugal McDougal is my go-to when in Nashville.
energy was plenty fine in this one, man. don't worry about it! loved seeing the different shops, your guide seemed super cool and knowledgeable!
Love that your getting some sponsors @brewzle! You have some of the best whiskey content on RUclips. Always genuine ❤
Let's go! My man Jason being an excellent guide.
honestly i watch your videos over and over again and never get bored.
Keep these bourbon hunting videos going! Really love watching these
When I'm in Nashville, I always hit Midtown Corkdorks. Another great hunting video!
Those Bridle and Bit's are FANTASTIC if you see one again. Especially the Double Oaked ones.
Should’ve grabbed one of those Southern Collective picks!!
For stores you should’ve hit:
-Barrels and Brews (Nolensville)
-CorkDorks
-Reds
-Red Dogs
Elixir spirits in Springhill Tennessee, about half an hour south of Nashville has one of the best selections I've seen.
Honestly wished there'd be more content creators like him
That Hudson "Bright Lights, Big Bourbon" is in my Top 3 worst bottles I've ever had.
1. Balcones Single Barrel Cask Strength Rye (135 proof)
2. Hudson "Bright Lights, Big Bourbon"

You have some of the best bourbon hunting videos. Thanks so much
Glad you picked up the Leiper’s Fork! Excited to see that review.
Came here to say this too. CorkDorks
@brewzle makes the best bourbon hunting videos
great video. nice to have a tour guide patreon. seemed pretty cool. cheers

Congrats on 1 mill!!!
Thanks! It's been a crazy year for sure and at this pace this channel will be at 1M by itself before we know it.
The best liquor store in Middle Tn is Elixer in Spring Hill. The owner has about 40 barrel picks and a great selection.

I love that Brewzle reaches out and involves his Subscribers! Also Penelope sucks. CHANGE MY MIND.
My local store did a copper and cask pick that was phenomenal. Guys are buying cases. It won at a bourbon club I’m in.
Leipersfork is incredible! I also order them through seelbach! Good pickup
I second this. It's expensive but it's great.
Shoulda picked up that Bridle and Bit! They’re making some absolutely incredible stuff
In Nashville I like Mr Whiskers. They have a huge selection of barrel picks.
Bourbon hunting video idea: Have someone else go in and pick their top 5 bottles. Then you go in and pick your top five bottles. Then compare and buy. Won't be able to get to too many stores though.
Man.. I’ve been waiting for you to post a bourbon hunting video again.. I was starting to go crazy 😂 cheers! 🥃

Whisky noob here, but I'm vouching for the Whistlepig smokestock. 👍 Recently, I made a Smokey Sour with this and It came out delicious
Missed opportunity on the hill rock. They can be pricy but they do some creative stuff with finishing. I can’t remember if they make their own juice or source though
Really cool to see you here in Nashville. Great video.
Thanks for watching!
Chattanooga Founders is phenomenal!
Great videos. I feel like you are closer to me than other shows.
That’s Chattanooga Founders 11th is my favorite bottle. Wins when I blind my top shelf. I highly recommend.
Love to see him start grabbing some of those Starlight bottles! They are great.
Looks like he heard me. lol
FYI: we just did 4 barrel picks at Starlight. Not sure when that video will come out but we are definitely on the Starlight train :)

love the charger and also its awesome seeing people from the discord in the videos
Mr Whiskers and Sinkers are my two faves.
Great video. Especially the Nord VPN spot. The 10th Mountain Division motto is “Climb to Glory,” so drinking to glory makes sense to them.
Thank you for bringing this up! I served in that unit and laughed at the comment knowing it was completely harmless. Agree, great video!!
more shots of the store selection, more talk to the shop owners about how they handle allocations and etc. For the shops that charge stupid prices start asking them why their prices are so high and how much they sell at that insane price.
KLuke Barrel Strength & 100 proofers are delicious! Pick any batch! 👌
Enjoy your videos TJ! Looking forward to meeting you at Pours in the Park! On another note why did you pass on Kluke barrel proof? LOL!
Hudson was one of the first bourbons I had. I loved it for years due to sentimental factor. That being said, it is a drain pour.
Dang, I messed up I guess.
I have seen it listed on nearly every Worst Bourbon List from past few years.
You passed up on the bottle of 13th colony at the first store. It's fantastic.
If you’re looking for smaller craft distilleries, Old Glory in Clarksville, TN has some good juice that isn’t sourced. Visited them earlier this week
Another amazing video! Cant wait for all the reviews!!!
Yo that charger is so clean brewzle
Oh, yeah! Another Bourbon hunting video!!!

1000% agree...
As a local, it's tut till town. Hudson Bourbon is pretty good. Aged in small barrels so it takes on the oak quicker.
My local liquor store’s barrel pick of Penelope Toasted is not good. The owner, the workers, and all the guys in my bourbon club all agree that it was subpar. Maybe worth $25 but definitely not worth the $70 price tag.
You picked a great one with Leipers fork!
Penelope Toasted store picks never disappoint.
The one from my local liquor store was not good. Not terrible but definitely not worth the price.
That hill rock is a must try
Midtown Cork Dorks is one place you missed. I always hit Frugal and Nashville Barrel Company as well.
@brewzle The Rare Breed Rye is GREAT. The 101 Rye is also. Really need to get you one of those.
My #1 Guilty Pleasure watching you shop while on treadmill K.Luke Batch 5 at the first store… got ignored. Ouch!
It's a great day to go bourbon hunting!
Darn straight!
FYI, you can do barrel picks through Southern Collective Spirits or Nashville Barrel Company if you're looking for high quality MGP, Heaven Hill, or NC-based Southern Distilling.
Grabbed both those bottles displayed in the barrel, have yet to try either.
Dude you’re crazy. Chattanooga Founders is such a great bottle.
That K.Luke just sitting in the background!
I agree, I have a few of those already
@@Brewzle nice! We have yet to see it in GA. Gonna be in TN soon and hopefully will stumble across some.
Lots of great stores in TN have K.LUKE on the shelf. Cheers🥃
Great video, as always! Also, really diggin Will's Celtics shirt!☘️🔥🔥🔥
Leipers Fork is great! Local just outside Nashville. I suggest a tour and tasting if you can.
Rare Bread Rye is fantastic.
I made the credits🎉🎉🎉. 5th on the (5) list. Great video TJ
Damn was hoping to see Nashville Daily Spirits and/or Elixir. The two best store pickers IMO.
You need to go to Elxir Spirits in Spring Hill and Maryland Farms as well as Brinkmann's in Brentwood
The 10th Mountain bourbon is good!
you SHOULD HAV GRABBED THAT Pikesville 7:23
Next time you’re in Middle Tennessee, you need a bottle of Short Mountain bourbon
Love the random guy in the 4 store?. I wouldn't hold it again him. "That's Life"
Starlight is just a few miles north of Louisville off I65, so for Derby next year keep that in mind.
Definitely more coming up with them, just visited the place
I needed my brewzle video
Love your videos man, I find them very entertaining. I’m a tequila collector myself and I love just going to liquor stores and browsing and seeing what they have.
Appreciate it!
That 2XO Innkeeper, Starlight, Rare Breed rye are really good
I’ve heard since, should have picked that up
Taxi drivers used to go to frugal macdouls for us when I went to school in Nashville …. Good times.
That rare breed rye is pretty good, I can get it pretty often in Manhattan, kansas.
Missing out on Corkdorks is a disservice to Nashville.
I would have grabbed that bottle of KLuke from the first store!
that's a good bottle for sure but I have several of those already
Should have grabbed several of those 2XO - InnKeepers blends. MY GOD is that stuff good. Even better than the Phoenix Blend, and that was good.
That goose island stout that they didn’t have is incredible!
Hey I’m in this, and I just wish you would’ve at least let me know you were filming and where it was going to go
Hudson 4 grain is an amazing pour
Got a Bridle and Bit store pick double oak 7yr cask strength super great for the money..
So I use to love bourbon but after I got diagnosed with celiacs disease I’ve noticed I get sick every time I try it so I’ve switched to gin but I know nothing on gin I would love to see you do gin and gin drink reviews
Tennessee Legends- Canebake in Nashville is a great bourbon whiskey.
Cant believe im in the top 5 of comments. Im ready to try brewzel's own bottle now that he's hit a million subscribers.
Decent font with some contrast!! 🤣
"Bourbon barrel aged Imperial milk stout"
"Sounds awful"
What? Lol that's one of the most common and popular types of barrel aged beer.
He doesn’t love bourbon or stouts.
@@Brewzle ah well then that would be a far from ideal mix.
Those Kentucky bourbon stouts are VERY good
I like their barrel aged ale better but it was pretty good
@@Brewzle if you ever come across the Hardywood Gingerbread Stout Series, some of them are barrel aged (if I remember correctly) and the complexity and taste in them is so delightful. Penelope toasted cask strength is fantastic. Curious what you think about it!
