That LA thieves skin was op in warzone 2 due to it basically being pitch black very hard to see but then it got nerfed and now you can easily see it in the dark which is why you saw that 1000+ people bought it competitive advantage

I do agree with you, on your statement about the monetization being way overpriced and some of it not being worth to buy. This game will probably never change, it will still be the same and will still be the most best selling games video games in the world because most of it's audience doesn't really care how bad or repetitive the games are, they'll still play em. Thankfully, majority of the overpriced stuff in the item shop, can be bought for wayyyyyy cheaper from players, with the rare occasion that the item shop will have something cheaper than buying from a player.
You should play Deep Rock Galactic, either with some friends or yourself (playing with strangers is really fun too), its easily the best co-op shooter out there, and it has silly space dwarves that yell 'rock and stone' when you press V (it does nothing)
My favourite modern cod moment was when I opened a premium supply drop and I got “mud” face paint which was literally bordering on blackface, then the guy hit a dab.
Call of Duty better do something like Halo Infinite where the multiplayer was free but the campaign costs money because not only do you have to buy the game for 70$ you still have to pay for these awful cosmetics like at least Overwatch went free before adding garbage monetization

I've gotta say, the golden age of cod definitely extends until BO3 Ghosts was hated at launch bit honestly, it's not that bad, is it as good as BO2 or BO1? God no, but it's pretty good, advanced warfare showed us a glimpse of the future with its supply drops, BO3 continued that glimpse, but even with the microtransactions the gameplay was very unique in both AW and BO3 that I'd say they were still great, not to mention BO3 having the best zombies mode conceived my mankind But infinite warfare definitely was the beginning of the end
Prices for skins in almost all games are just extremely expensive... probably the only game where I thought the market was fair is in Warframe, and this is only because you can trade the premium currency and they give you 75% top-up discounts which happen very often. Then I go on mobile games and see that something absolutely minimal in value starts from 30$ going up, which is absolutely ridiculous for 3 materials...
at least they didn't add microtransactions to pokemon scarlet/violet, or any other major nintendo-exclusive release. I still dislike what The Pokemon Company's been doing, but at least they haven't stooped *that* low.
