Dude that thing is so freaking sick!!! I want to build a race/speed boat with a rc outboard just like this one! Although I’m currently building and finishing my irl lil race boat and it’s coming togheter so I won’t have the cash to buy something like this. Anyway love the content
@@a3_Beatsthanks for watching and liking my build!! for a race boat I would go with a flex drive style.. They don't look as cool like these scaled outboards.. But they run way better and way easier to maintain. I'll be opening her up in a bit to assess the problem.
I haven't had the rubber coupling get destroyed usually the st screw on the coupling comes loose . Do you have the upgraded lower unit with the thrust bearing and larger rear bearing ? I have a pair of the scale outboards on a Dumas skater so far they hold up to 4s run just fine I found a 37 mm prop is the limit for the lower units the octura v937 hauls the mail on the tunnel hulls. Yes this last rebuild I did was the upgraded version I'll open her up tonight and record it.. So we can all see what went wrong or what I did wrong 😂 Yes I've also had the set screw fail.. I doubt it that this time.. But we can hope right 👌👌👌
I really want to see this thing run. I think the outboards are so cool. Might have to build a outboard cat someday.
