When Aretha Franklin passed away in 2018, her family allowed the public to see her body inside an open, golden casket for 1 week straight in Detroit to let everyone pay their final respect to her.
I feel like they should also do the same thing with Kobe Bryant. He was a legendary sports figure beloved by millions of people. They should all get their chance to pay their final respects to him as well. Rest in Heaven, Kobe.

you are completely wrong. yes he is a human being like every other but he impacted a whole generations. people loved and idolized kobe and had the feeling as if kobe was a family member or best friend towards them. yes ofc it’s unfortanate that the others died but they weren’t looked up to as kobe. i’m from europe and i started watching nba since 2 years cause of kobe. and the tragic litterally broke my heart into 2 pieces. it’s not his achievements that make him more important it’s the way how he’s idolized by millions of people around the globe
