Thanks for sharing! There's a rump bar on the operation side of your chute, right beside the rolling door, that will help you get the stubborn ones to move up.

Yes! We had to use the rump bar on a few. It was very handy. Working cattle was so smooth and enjoyable!

@@mercerlandcattle9496 and we just found out yesterday, the price is going way up with the cost of steel these days, so we better get on it I think.

@@koochie2001 we actually bought a second chute early this summer for one of our other properties because our farm and ranch store told us on their next shipment of Arrowquip the price would be going up.

I will give you some good sound advice. Use your pour on after you brand. When they catch on fire they aren't easy to put out.

@@mercerlandcattle9496 don't ask me how I know, and I personally know others that found out the same way I did. For many years branding was the last thing we did so that they didn't scar up the brand while vaccinating until one day when we all learned.

I Wana know how that brand turned out. We hold the brand on a lot longer then that

They didn't turn out that well, definitely needed to hold it longer. They are visible but you do have to be looking for them. I had always branded with fire, and had never used an electric iron before. To be honest I'm really not a big fan of it still.

I think we purchased ours for around $7k a few years ago. They've gone up since then. You need to find a dealer in your area and price one with them.

Inhumane is a pack of wolves or a pride of lions separating a baby from it’s mother or a cow from its herd and chasing it until it can’t run any more and then chocking it down while it’s other team members begin to eat it while it’s still alive and crying. Grow up.
