    I just got myself a practitioner 21 version as I'm lucky to be in the program.
    I've also got a delta lt and will probably add a kionite ar later
    Great video, keep them coming as no one is really doing proper reviews for the intended public: skiers/snowboarders, it's either trendy or trekking or japanese channels ...

    The atom lt might be the perfect fit with 60 grams vs the 80 grams of the proton, I have both so I will have to play around with this

      @maxbirch9989 Год назад

      Did you manage to figure if the atom lt fits nicer than the proton fl? Can’t decide which to pare the beta ar with.

    • @robertjustin1291
      @robertjustin1291 Год назад +1

      @maxbirch9989 it's close but I recommend the atom lt. You can compensate for the cold with just a slightly thicker base layer under the atom. In 30° and snow I had a SmartWool long sleeve midweight base layer with the Atom LT and beta ar. I was completely content.

    This was probably the most informative video on Arc'Teryx jackets. Keep the reviews coming. Do you recommend a Therme insulated jacket or getting a 3 layer system? I was thinking a Beta AR, Atom AR and a Kyanite AR tech wool hoody. You think this is a better combination for Colorado/ Chicago weather?

    Hey I’ve got a question, I am 6ft usually size large in jackets. Should I be going for medium or large in the beta AR? (Won’t be wearing much layers, the jacket will mainly be used for hikes)

    • @ALTAGEAR
      @ALTAGEAR  Год назад +1

      Stick with your proper size. Arcteryx bakes in their sizing and fit accommodate a layering system. Though shells will feel a bit sloppy with no layers under, but thats by design.

      Depends on where you live. I grew up in NYC, if I were getting something by Arcteryx for around town I'd probably get a Gamma MX for Fall and Spring, and for winter a Therm or Beta Insulated.

    • @ALTAGEAR
      @ALTAGEAR  2 года назад

      Depends on how cold it gets where you are and how often you’re standing still out in the open. If you live in a place like NYC, it wouldn’t be enough for me personally during winter. If your winters are milder, yes 40F and up, it should be fine with a sweater or hoody.

    Beta SV and Atom AR good for cold weather hiking? sub 30s or would my Atom LT suffice

    • @VB-3
      @VB-3 2 года назад +1

      Hiking in 30’s is a cake walk for the Atom LT. If it’s not snowing hard you probably won’t need shell either. But I would recommend keeping a light fleece with you as well.

    • @ALTAGEAR
      @ALTAGEAR  2 года назад +1
