OMG! I am here in Houston, and I did not hear about the Light Houst Church roof caving in. I pray they get that building restored. I am here in Houston and this Hurrican is not a joke. I still don't have cable or internet restored. My hot spots keep going in and out. And on top of this disaster, I am still unemployed. Thanks for your prayers Larry! But I am keeping my faith somehow, some way.

Yes, Pastor Henderson posted videos of the extensive damage to the church. It just wasn't the roof, there is water damage as well. Currently the church is closed indefinitely as it is not fit for humans to enter. It's really bad🙏🏾

There is nothing lazy about CeCe Winan’s vocals. Not only can she work an entire song, she is heavily anointed and destroys yokes when she sings. It doesn’t matter what you like. God chose her for a reason. ❤

In everything we say or do is to please God not man. using a world social platform to shame or slander others, who you really don't know is disturbing, Cece Winans has been engaging a large audience providing singing and speaking for over 40 years. Yet, You call her (Lazy) You can't except that her vocal chords can be compromised with age vocal fold atrophy and cysts can develop thinning and weaken the chords. God willing she can sing the Goodness of God to all who are listening, because one day we might not hear her angelic singing vocals anymore.
CeCe Winans is THE singer who sings for an audience of one.
First, you all say people don't know what they're talking about when they say Karen Clark Sheard only "screams" not sings. Now, on the flipside, you're doing the same thing to CeCe Winans calling her boring?! What is wrong with the Blacks?
CeCe is the best-selling and most-awarded woman in Gospel for a reason (even though that is not her goal). She delivers the lyric flawlessly often without all the theatrics so the message is conveyed, not her gift. It's the physical embodiment of what the gospel through song should be.
CeCe said it best herself, "Everybody's not going to understand where God has called you to go, but that is not an excuse for you not to go there."

In my analysis of music, particularly gospel, I find that Wypipo, or Contemporary Christian Worshippers, sing of the POWER OF God. Black Folk typically worship by song, at the PROVISION OF God.
This is why BOTH are necessary.

You are incorrect regarding how CeCe started. At age 15, she and BeBe were singing at PTL with Jim and Tammy Baker. They began singing CCM then. Then, when she was singing with Bebe and Whitney Keith Thomas, a white man, produced ALL of those gospel Hits. Many people don’t know that.
Now, she is doing worship that is relevant now CCM worship in terms of the current music style. But when CeCe sings. She still sings that same way. But she isn’t doing a bunch of riffs and runs.
But her approach is mostly the same.
Churchy gospel people listen to be entertained by vocal aerobics.
But the purpose of worship isn’t for that. It’s to focus on God.

I’ve seen Cece Winans live and she is not boring. No she does not jump around like some artist but boring! I don’t think so at all.
Cece comes with holiness not worldliness therefore to the world she boring... praise God she don't care to fit in in dressing,singing acting like most gospel worldly artist.
Without holiness no man will see God...CeCe is free AND she holy....more than I can say about ...

Mr Reid let me tell you something I watched the video of CeCe Winans singing with the young man on American Idol and that young man was killing it CeCe had to back up a few times. And when the camera came in first she was trying to catch the Brother BUT he was GONE he brought the Gospel Soul I must agree with what you've said😊

Thank you Reid for praying for we Houstonians. There are still over a million still without power thanks to our POS Governor. Their blaming Centerpoint Energy, but the he hadn't said a word to his home city where he grew up in River Oaks an elite area of Houston not even by Skype as it's being said he's in Asia on business. This is his last term in office so he couldn't care less in my opinion. We have had 99 degree heat over the past week

I can respect it after hearing your opinion in totality… I haven’t been happy with the production leaning away from Black Gospel either. BUT I couldn’t deny the greatness of Believe For It. And TBH her voice is the soul. You know it’s a black woman singing. The great thing that she does in a lot of those records is vamp or go off script. That’s when she really shines. But I do to miss her working with black producers. No more Kyle Lee! 🥴😂

I didn’t see the clip… If you’re talking about “The Goodness of God,” that song was written by Bill Johnson’s wife (I believe!)- from Bethel Church in California- which is known for some peculiar things, too. Bethel is definitively White Evangelical.
