Klasky Csupo is pronounced “Klas-kee Qyoo-po”, as heard in the logo. The titular character is an ink splat called Splaat. Even though a human hand created him in the logo, he has parents. His mom is a pair of scissors and his dad is an ink bottle.

Have you ever been afraid of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting logo? Nearly every variant of the logo terrified me during my childhood. Not joking, I counted how many nightmares of it I had. It was more than 100. O_O
Aw man I can see why it scared you that bad---especially with the earliest variations, where it's just nothing but a monotone voice and a logo frozen in place. I'd say those scare me the most. They feel so still and empty and creepy in a way that I can't put into words.
@@Roxie_ET I remember seeing the 90s variant for the first time. I remember getting about a couple of nightmares of it. But then when I began seeing the early 2000s square, especially the square from the Ready to Learn Credits (the music didn't help, either XD), that started the _Decade-Long Era of Terror._ This era consists of nightmares of literally the same scenario: It would either come out of the screen to look for me or I would end up seeing it on a TV screen, then, at the end of nearly all dreams, it would take me somewhere, but I never found out where because the dream would cut off. XD Also, there were even one Funding Credits where the logo goes toward viewers' faces, which, kind of made the scenario more believable. Just about a year ago, I cut out a printed piece of paper with the logo on it and placed it on a wall. Over time, it really helped me get through the fear! :D Maybe with a few logos that are spooky to you, you can place a picture of it on a wall so that over time, the anxiety can ease! Note that it may not work on everyone, though, but try it! :D
@@Koopa507 Man that sounds awful! It reminds me of those times when I was little---when I'd get scared that a logo would pop up in a dark room and blast its loud music. It wasn't fun lol The wall picture thing is a really good idea! Although logos don't give me nightmares, it'd be a clever way to desensitize to them. I'm glad you found a way to conquer your fears :)

Alright, let's review (because why not?) 10: Not _that_ horrifying, but I can see why people can get scared. One of my favourites too. 9: I just saw the logo, and let's face it, I don't find it that bad. The music does sound kinda creepy to be honest. 8: Oh god, not again... -_-. But for real, I fond it more annoying than scary (and you know why). 7: I never found this scary, honestly, though the star appearing is pretty startling. 6: That logo startled me when I was young thanks to the sound at the end, but nowadays, it's one of my favourite logos, and sits at a high spot on the "My Top 175 Favourite Logos List" 5: Another iconic scary logo thanks to the darkness and fanfare. To be fair, it's kinda boring, but interesting and I like it. 4: Depends on the warning screens, really, but I've seen several foreign VHS logos with interesting warning screens (such as FAX Video Design and Empire of Cinema), but I see what you mean. 3: I find it more cheesy than scary, but I see what you mean. Besides, the logo stole a Star Wars theme and the logo design was copied from Warner Brothers' shield. 2: I knew it, ever since seeing the video of logos that scared you as a child. In all honesty, I like their logos, especially Genesis and the Tex ones (speaking of which, the Tex ones were the ones I most commonly saw because I'd often watch DVDs of Cars and the Toy Story franchise), and the Deep Note startled me a bit at a young age. 1: Kinda reminds me of Alpha Video and Juniper Releasing in one way or another, and the synth music isn't all too pleasant, and the name sounds like something that'll happen before an apocalypse of some sort. *HONOURABLE MENTIONS* Disney's Fast Play: I never found it scary, really, I kinda like it. BBC Video (1997-2009): Let's face it: it's kinda surprising to see a logo like this appear, especially since the 3 Strikes logo are considered "scarier". It's also one of my favourites in almost every single way possible, and the music is calm. Klasky Csupo: (Pronounced Clah-ski Choo-po). FUN FACT: Stephen Cezar once claimed that he finds the logo scary, and I can see why people find this scary (Oh, and don't tell this user called No., otherwise he might jokingly say that you're scared of 2 eyes and a mouth on a splotch; trust me, he said it in his least scary nightmare logos list. DTS: Loud, like THX, but also like it. Coming Soon to Theatres: Dunno what to say, really. Macrovision: Another conclusive logo, but I really like it a lot for several reasons. Authority Films: The fist zooming in is _very_ startling; just be thankful you're not viewing it in 3D. Bryanston Pictures: Another iconic scary logo. Plus, the sounds aren't very pleasant. Disney Interactive: Never seen the logo (yet). Good list, and keep up the good work (Oh, and please note that I'm not scared of any logos whatsoever)
@Roxie Entertainment I am scared of the "viewers like you. THanķ y0u" it makes me and you so uneasy like it's telling us thank you for staying with us now you will be jumpscared like I am so scared right now 😢
Okay to be honest, a logo that is creepy and unsettling to me TO THIS DAY, would have to be that Nelvana logo. The eery nighttime glitter sound effect and the blue shadow as well just make for a world of nightmares and a world of hell
And now, a list of the logos that scared ME as a kid. 10: Smiley/Happy Face Home Video Can someone tell me why they decided to make the face look TERRIFYING!? Even if this was fine in the 80’s, It still freaks me out. 9: PBS Kids (90’s) I only was scared of it because when I was around the age of 8 I was on the CLG Wiki (Around the time when Scare Factors were a thing) with the PBS Kids tab off when it just played randomness without warning. 8: Hannah Barbera Productions (Swirling Star) The cheesy Scanimate along with the creepy sounds the star makes oddly startled me. Thankfully, I am more knowledgeable about Hannah Barbera and Scanimate. 7: BND Of Doom I remember watching this when I was 7-8 and crying. 6: BBC Video (First one) Now, most people find the three strikes logo the scariest of all, and I can see why. But the first one? No bueno. 5: Viacom “V of Doom” warped “variant” Now, the actual logo isn’t scary at ALL. But the crappy quality of the audio is just.... UGH! 4: Protect and Survive Protect = Save everyone. Survive = Try to stay alive. Protect and Survive = Welcome to the apocalypse. 3: Literally any warped 16mm logo *Please... NO MORE SCARY AUDIO!* 2: Screen Gems Australia The claymation oddly scared me! 1: Warner Bros. Television I remember my parents occasionally watching what I believe was Seinfeld and the logo came up. I fought with this fear all throughout my childhood with the logo appearing in my dreams and consuming me.
Aight, we know the drill here, my opinions on the list. I may post my own top 10 in a separate comment 10. I actually saw this one appear in quite a lot of early scary logo compilations in the early 2010s, and although I like the music, I can see why it would unnerve someone as it is a bit tense. Still doesn't bother me though. I thought the yellow background variant with the zoom out had more going for it in scare potential for others and it rarely gets talked about, and it has the same music as this one here too. 9. A bit tense and sudden apecifically with that weird note so I can understand where you're coming from. Doesn't bother me though. 8. Ah yes, the most hated (not feared but HATED) closing logo of all-time, notorious for plastering old logos and as a result being a burden to logo enthusiasts everywhere. I'm not scared of it nor do I hate it, but I can see where you're coming from as it's a bit bombastic with its music. Fun fact: the home video version scared the sh!t outta me as a kid so I kinda know how it feels. 7. Again, doesn't bother me but I can well and truly understand why it would bother someone else. The dark atmosphere, the star just zooming towards you in all directions, the dramatic sounds, it all makes for a logo I can see unsettling someone, especially children. I remember seeing this on early scary logo compilations too. 6. I suppose if you don't like conclusives (which is understandable tbh, that empty feeling after it plays...) this could be slightly unnerving but I'm personally not bothered by this one at all, I think it's a good way to end off a DVD watching session. 5. Ah yes, the infamous Neon Mickey, even I'm slightly unnerved by this one, the big, menacing silhouette of Mickey combine with the dark atmosphere and bombastic music make this one a bit unnerving, I understand completely. 4. I suppose the emptiness could be a factor but aside from that I don't see a problem 3. This logo is a shameless ripoff lmao, talking the shape of the WB or Shaw Brothers shield and stealing music from f&^king STAR WARS... I can see why it would be scary to some though as it just zooms in with dramatic music. However, I don't find it scary at all, just laughably cheesy. 2. The THXphobia is strong with this one, see your previous scary logos video for my opinion. (Long story short, It never bothered me but I can understand why it would scare someone else) also props for mentioning the history behind it and the sheet music, that was what we used to analyse it theoretically on the music course 1. The mere implications of this one make me sh!t myself soooo yeah... This isn't scary to me by itself, but the implications behind it are truly terrifying. Good thing I didn't grow up in the 70s and 80s otherwise I'd probably have died from a panic attack by now. As for the logo itself it has intentionally tense music and animation to catch the attention of the viewer so perhaps it acheived its goal by being #1 here. Either way, not scary by itself, but taken into context it is terrifying. HM1: I've never understood why people say this is scary, I get that it is very fast paced but I don't see how that makes it scary. Each to their own. HM2: This one scared the sh!t out of me as a kid lmao, stopped scaring me when I was 8 though. I find it soothing and friendly nowadays. The music, dark atmosphere and weird ribbon animation creeped me out as a kid though. HM3: Another one that scared me sh!tless as a child, again, stopped when I was 8, but I can most definitely understand someone being scared by it even as an adult. The face and his voice are very strange and uncanny. This logo was responsible for my interest in logos sparking off in the first place when I was 8 as my fear turned to fascination, and then I discovered the wider logo community. And then I discovered as I grew older that it is how most people start out in this community as annoying little sh!ts lmao. At 20 I don't find it scary at all, it just gives me nostalgic feelings despite the logo being ruined all the time by editors and brainrot content farms. Unshown Honourable Mentions: HM4: DTS: I'm going to assume this is the blue one, yea it's pretty tense but I'm not bothered by it HM5: Never bothered me, not much else to say reallt HM6: I always saw this one at the beginning of certain Tweenies tapes as a kid, I wasn't really bithered by it then and still not bothered by it now, in fact, I get really nostalgic when I see it now haha. But I understand the conclusiveness aspect due to it appearing after the credits on a lot of Universal DVDs. HM7: I completely understand this one and feel slightly unnerved by it myself, I mean, a big @ss fist punching the viewer with ear grating music and screeches and a dark atmosphere? That is unsettling. Even as a huge Jackie Chan fan as he owns the company. HM8: I've never been aftaid of this one but I can see why someone would be, the dark atmosphere, trippy visuals, descending moog notes and weird sound throughout the logo contribute to it holding a valid status as a scary logo. It doesn't bother me however. HM9: Never bothered me either Well, that was interesting and fun! I'll post my top 10 in a separate comment
The funny thing is that the only logo that scared me in this list is the Klasky Csupo logo i remember as a kid i watch the Rugrats movie and at the end this logo came and i ran to my room as fast as i can caz it was that scary like THAT FACE JUMP SCARED ME 😅🥲

The deluxe digital studio scared me all the time as a kid lol
Personally I love the THX logo.
Seriously tho, all of these logos never scared me.
Edit: Also, Golden Dragon Cambodian Video is actually a ripoff logo that copies the Warner Bros logo and uses music from Star Wars.
Remember the red shield logo’s music? The music was stolen from
Star Wars IV:A New Hope in the TIE fighter scene where Han takes off the last TIE up

Klasky Csupo is pronounced “Klas-kee Qyoo-po”, as heard in the logo. The titular character is an ink splat called Splaat. Even though a human hand created him in the logo, he has parents. His mom is a pair of scissors and his dad is an ink bottle.
His parents being scissors and an ink bottle makes sense but also that's kinda disturbing 0_0
No, it’s pronounced klaskee shoopo

But then when I began seeing the early 2000s square, especially the square from the Ready to Learn Credits (the music didn't help, either XD), that started the _Decade-Long Era of Terror._
This era consists of nightmares of literally the same scenario: It would either come out of the screen to look for me or I would end up seeing it on a TV screen, then, at the end of nearly all dreams, it would take me somewhere, but I never found out where because the dream would cut off. XD
Also, there were even one Funding Credits where the logo goes toward viewers' faces, which, kind of made the scenario more believable.
Just about a year ago, I cut out a printed piece of paper with the logo on it and placed it on a wall. Over time, it really helped me get through the fear! :D
Maybe with a few logos that are spooky to you, you can place a picture of it on a wall so that over time, the anxiety can ease! Note that it may not work on everyone, though, but try it! :D
@@Koopa507
Man that sounds awful! It reminds me of those times when I was little---when I'd get scared that a logo would pop up in a dark room and blast its loud music. It wasn't fun lol
The wall picture thing is a really good idea! Although logos don't give me nightmares, it'd be a clever way to desensitize to them.
I'm glad you found a way to conquer your fears :)
@@Roxie_ET Thank you very much! :D
Hopefully, the method will help... if you were going to use it, of course! XD

Hey Congrats
The music in the Golden Dragon Cambodian Video logo is actually John William's score from Star Wars
Alright, let's review (because why not?)
10: Not _that_ horrifying, but I can see why people can get scared.
6: That logo startled me when I was young thanks to the sound at the end, but nowadays, it's one of my favourite logos, and sits at a high spot on the "My Top 175 Favourite Logos List"
5: Another iconic scary logo thanks to the darkness and fanfare.
*HONOURABLE MENTIONS*
Disney's Fast Play: I never found it scary, really, I kinda like it.
I'm not scared of THX at all.
When I look past the ominous atmosphere of it all, it's actually a really cool logo.
@@Roxie_ET yeah. tex is pretty funny. am i right?

1:39 That used to scare me too.
You're not the only one. The Sony Pictures Television logo also used to scare me as a child.
I’m scared of that logo since I first saw it on a logo evolution

And now, a list of the logos that scared ME as a kid.
10: Smiley/Happy Face Home Video
Can someone tell me why they decided to make the face look TERRIFYING!? Even if this was fine in the 80’s, It still freaks me out.
9: PBS Kids (90’s)
I only was scared of it because when I was around the age of 8 I was on the CLG Wiki (Around the time when Scare Factors were a thing) with the PBS Kids tab off when it just played randomness without warning.
8: Hannah Barbera Productions (Swirling Star)
The cheesy Scanimate along with the creepy sounds the star makes oddly startled me. Thankfully, I am more knowledgeable about Hannah Barbera and Scanimate.
7: BND Of Doom
I remember watching this when I was 7-8 and crying.
6: BBC Video (First one)
Now, most people find the three strikes logo the scariest of all, and I can see why. But the first one? No bueno.
5: Viacom “V of Doom” warped “variant”
Now, the actual logo isn’t scary at ALL. But the crappy quality of the audio is just.... UGH!
4: Protect and Survive
Protect = Save everyone. Survive = Try to stay alive. Protect and Survive = Welcome to the apocalypse.
3: Literally any warped 16mm logo
*Please... NO MORE SCARY AUDIO!*
2: Screen Gems Australia
The claymation oddly scared me!
1: Warner Bros. Television
I remember my parents occasionally watching what I believe was Seinfeld and the logo came up. I fought with this fear all throughout my childhood with the logo appearing in my dreams and consuming me.
What are Scare Factors
Guess what, I have watched the VID logo when I was an infant in 2009. Still scares me to this day, working on embracing the fear and braving the face.

O
Aight, we know the drill here, my opinions on the list. I may post my own top 10 in a separate comment
4. I suppose the emptiness could be a factor but aside from that I don't see a problem
(Long story short, It never bothered me but I can understand why it would scare someone else) also props for mentioning the history behind it and the sheet music, that was what we used to analyse it theoretically on the music course
Unshown Honourable Mentions:
HM4: DTS: I'm going to assume this is the blue one, yea it's pretty tense but I'm not bothered by it
HM5: Never bothered me, not much else to say reallt
HM6: I always saw this one at the beginning of certain Tweenies tapes as a kid, I wasn't really bithered by it then and still not bothered by it now, in fact, I get really nostalgic when I see it now haha.
HM9: Never bothered me either
Well, that was interesting and fun! I'll post my top 10 in a separate comment
