Is that right ,I could imagine the feeling of power and dominance you experienced while the melody and frequency ignited your soul on a flight to the motherland I’m surprised you came back here to this matrix ❤

Back in December 1996 I was at The Afrika Shrine and watched your legendary father perform. We could all see that he was ill, but he kept on for more than two and a half hours. After the concert I sat myself down at a chair. Together with a friend of mine from Ihiala, Anambra State, we decided to stay put at The Shrine waiting for the morning buses to start moving.
Then Fela turned up. I was swiftly told to move to a different chair, as I had seated myself on Fela's own seat. Now, for some reason - probably my simple African attire and my long hair, I don't know - I was told that he wanted to talk to me. But that could only be done if I returned to The Shrine the evening after that one, as (I was told) "Fela don't talk on Fridays." I declined this invitation of his, saying that I was going to a big music festival at The Racecourse next evening, and that I would be taking a plane back to Europe on Sunday. I do believe that he came to respect me even more as I declined, as he really liked people who had a character of their own. I proved to him that I was one of those people.
You were very young at the time, I know, but I can tell you one thing for certain: if your father had been alive today he would have been extremely proud of you, as you time and again prove yourself to be a very intelligent and also courageous young man. Your father would have loved that.

Seun finally steps into the arena, heads up and ready to sit on the Afrobeat throne. All the years of practice culminates in this wonderful piece of music. This song plays in your subconscious! Vintage Seun Kuti

Superbly arranged, has ALL the elements of a standard Egypt 80 Jam, the thumping bass, the signature tenor lead guitar, and that Gbedu drum(not sure), killed off with the superb exhortation of the the strong African Woman

Senu mentioned his grand mother, a great Yoruba woman. He mentioned Queen Amina, a great Hausa woman. He failed to mention the brave Igbo women who participated in the 1929 Igbo Women’s war against the British. Beautiful Music anyway! Long Live Afrobeats.
