With your knowledge, ambition and drive, you will never be lacking in available work. 💙
I’ve always found your videos interesting! Your knowledge & skills are quite remarkable. Your work, collections, salvaging techniques, etc are Brillant ! 💛
I like the shackle trick Austin 👍🏻
Such a hard worker so rare these days. Congratulations on buying the land next door. I like this type of ride along it was fun
I find it interesting just following your day. Thank you for explaining how you do things and the materials and tools used. You strike me as a super guy with a wonderful work ethic. Much success.
You need to keep an eye on that wood because with the price of wood right now you never know what some people will do.
It's always interesting watching you work. Brings me back to my old farm days, building buildings, tearing stuff down, running a tractor of some kind, plus I was a farmhand and ran fences as well. It's hard, honest work, but it feels good at the end of the day.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🍀🍀🍀🍀 I enjoy all your videos.
Austin, Josh uses old nails too.
Nice pointer on using the shackle for tying down the rods!
I enjoy day in the life videos just as much as the how to videos. Thank You for asking.
If I lived in your area, I would definitely have you do all of my projects!
The nails look about the right length for siding a building. The 1" pine on my barn was held on with those(1870s).
Nice fan mail! And an interesting video.
You are such a hard worker. I enjoy all your videos.
This was a nice video -I enjoyed watching
Like that RM Shop building roof, after 50 years, I've sagged a little too. 😊
Lol

Love this style video as well as the how - to vids.
Not horseshoe nails. Those would be really sharp on the end. Those are wood nails. The blunt end is so they cut the wood as they are pounded in. If you pound a sharp end in it will split the wood.
We all get a little saggy as we age, so you're building should be OK. 👍👍
Yes I do
very good !!!
Those old nails from Shirley are cool. Shirley should have you come and stay at her house while you do the work she needs done. Just a thought 🙂
Variety is a great way to keep me interested thank you 😊🤷🏼♀️🍀☘️🍀🖖🖖🖖🍀☘️🍀👍👍👍💕🌟💕🙋🏼♀️
Thank you for your video always entertaining 👍👍
Whenever you do take a check make sure you see an ID with an address.
The cheque was good thankfully lol
Pit Vipers ! 😊
Those look like 'cut nails' they would have been made in a factory (by hand) a plate the width of the nail length was fed through a shear at an angle to make the taper, (look at the sides of the nail and you can see the shear line) and then dropped in a nail header and given a couple good whacks with a hammer to make the head. stopped being produced around the time of WWI if I recall correct.
I figured you would have some good insight lol, I did notice the shear lines on the sides making me question if they would have been made by a blacksmith, but very cool anyways
A surprise Sunday video. Nice one Austin. I can only see you as a 90's WWF wrestler with those sunglasses on. :-) Is there a travel vlog series out to Vancouver in your future?:-) Great video.
Hahaha, i would like to go to Vancouver and many other places, I just need money and free time first lol
that jerry can looks smaller than 109 litres . . .
Must have been a hole in it lol
I enjoy all your content Austin, how to videos, everyday life content as well .Your put up very interesting videos .Keep up what u r doing. 👍👍👍👍
Hey Austin, It’s been a long time! Not sure when I subscribed but your only getting better! I love your content. While watching this video I couldn’t help thinking how much you and your employees might benefit with a set of walkie talkies to better communicate while your in the skidder or any other equipment and need to communicate without stopping and exiting the vehicle, also your help can remain a safe distance away. Just trying to help not trying to be a know it all 😂
I was actually thinking about getting a set, they definitely would be handy in certain situations. Maybe I’ll grab some on my next tool buying round
Those square nails are still being sold in my local hardware store, established over 100 years ago. I love browsing all the neat stuff their!
I like both styles of video. I suppose this 'collection of shorts' takes a lot of effort? Good to experiment with your style and mix it up a bit. Keeps it interesting.
Yes especially if I’m filming a few videos at once it’s hard to remember which clips go where
Hi Austin, I love all of your content. Just pleased to see what what you do. I am amazed at your winter snows, as in New Zealand where I am we do not have snow fall like that.
As long as you keep the content within the scope of your practice you will have a viewer audience. At least for Me!
All of your content is rewarding 👍🇨🇦
Austin, with wood prices as high as they are have you had any problems with theft when you leave it out in the open?
Not that I know of, it looks like everything is still there lol
have you come across a galvanized clawfoot bath tub or zinc bath tub same thing just call different.
That is one thing that I don’t have, I do sometimes see them in antique stores though
they look like a cast iron but are way lighter..
Do your neighbors have any issues with you making that lot into a construction storage yard?
I was wondering that, too. It isn't something I'd want to look at.
No, I get along with all my neighbors, it is a lower income neighborhood, my yard is one of the cleaner ones
@@AustinTischler Good for you. Looks like you are building up a nice business and future for yourself.
Quick question, when you use reclaimed material, how do you price it for the customer? I'm curious because, other than labor, the material was free.
Well I can give people a slightly better deal if they elect to go with recycled materials, the remainder of the tin I am selling for 75¢/square foot, about half the price of new and already have a buyer, as for it being “free” that is sort of an illusion as the value of the labour to retrieve it is roughly what the material itself is worth, in a normal market that is
hey Austin you came across galvanized or zinc clawfoot bath tub... there like a cast iron but much lighter. if so I would like to give you my email so you could let me know where it is and maybe a picture..
