I just bought this bike today but I'm having stuff added to it so I won't get it until later in the week or early next week. So I'm living vicariously through your video review until I get it home. Supposedly I got the first one in the state of Iowa.

Another great review! Didn't expect Road King to be nimble or have better lean angle than your breakout! I always assumed road kings all had the giant bulky fairings but maybe I am confusing it with the CVOs.
Thanks man! So the CVO does have a windshield, but I haven’t seen one with a fairing. But no the breakout has a terrible lean angle lol. They adjusted the frame in 2018 I think but it was designed to be a faster bike in a straight line. Drag inspired
Road kings don’t have fairings at all lol. You’re thinking of street glides.

Enjoyed the video. Just bought one of these; Beautiful bike! Traded in a 2017 RKS, in Charcoal Denim (which was also a great looking bike), which meant I could swap out a lot of the mods I’d made on the old one to the new one. I agree that the handlebars need to slope back more; their difficult to reach, especially for a short guy like me (5’5”). Other than that, it’s a fantastic bike!

Why do you ride on the right side of the lane?
Bc the middle of the road is uneven. And drivers tend to crowd the middle line when they’re in the left lane. Personal preference
This breaks are brand new and should be brake in with respect. Dont slam that breaks the first 100km
Definitely the best Road King Special review I’ve seen on RUclips. I wish I could’ve found a video like this when I was looking to buy mine. The best bagger in Harley’s lineup, in my opinion. I love my Fatboy but I agree with the luxury price without any of the actual luxury. We can blame the dentists and doctors who put 10 miles a year on their bikes using them as a status symbol for that

@@REVSANITY I have the 2023 RKS. Fully agree with all your key points. The position of the turn signal indicator is indeed awkward - no matter whether you tailgate or not...:-). Furthermore, the handlebars really suck. I've just purchased a new one from KST. Otherwise great bike. Though price to value-wise, probably not the best purchase....
I thought those road kings were chockfull of tech?
Comparably speaking among other bikes in the same price point, not as much. The cruise control is definitely nice though

SNAKE VENOM---LET ME TELL YA SOMTHING ABOUT THIS PAINT I have a 2021 RGS
in snake venom and chrome. I have been keeping it clean, used Lucas
shine and go and a few other quick spray detailers. It looks good. But I
get this kinda --how do I put this chemically fish eye kinda look as
your walking around the bike. Nothing bad mind you it all looks cool
colors changing all that. Still getting compliments. ButI am a detail
perfection freak. Totally anal about it. if there is a spec a dust on my
bike I will see it from 50 yards away. So today I'm looking at it and I
think ya know what. I'm going all old school on her just to see what
happens. I wash her down. dry her--get out a older can a Mothers
California Gold Brazilian Carnaba cleaner wax. Put it on kinda heavy and
didnt spare the elbow. OMGosh!!!!!!!!! Guys if you own this color,
just try it. Thank me later!
