    I like, didn't see the bit where you were fighting to get the vinyl in and it was trying to push you back out out the door

    I've got this same flooring in my wet room, the cover is broken so when I took it off completely, the vynyl isn't stuck down which I think is why my hallway is wet. I live in a council flat, but was looking to see it I could fix it myself first because they are a load of bodgers. not sure I will be able to do it myself looking at this.

      Im sorry, i know this is 3 months late but are you disabled or NEED the wetroom? if you are you should be able to get a grant to get it done. That way you can pick your own builders. We had the same a few years ago. The councils 'workers' made such a mess of it. I was a labourer at the time and i swear i could have done a better job of it -_-

    Thanks for a informative video. How secure are the welding in the corners? Do you take any other precsutions? I plan to shower without shower cabinett, just straight on the vinyl flooring. Is that safe?

    • @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd
      @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd  10 месяцев назад

      Very safe 👌.
      Hot or heat welding is the way to seal the corner and make sure it's done properly so water can not panetrate later .
      After welding, you can always drop a bit of cold liquid welding or colour matched Selicone sealant on top of the heat welding joints .
      Whatever you do this way is the safest for wet room
      Please watch our next video. This would give you more ideas
      Good luck

    How do you repair one of these that's come away from the wall it's rather stiff now

    • @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd
      @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd  Год назад

      Warm it up
      And use double-sided tape
      Nice and clean and easy
      Alternatively, you may have to get a floor layer or local flooring company to sort it out for you

    Should a large bathroom converted to a wet room only have one piece of vinyl flooring or can two pieces be seamlessly joined?

    • @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd
      @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd  Год назад +1

      Commercial flooring is coming by twenty metres long in roll and two Meters wide . So if the area is bigger, then 2 metre . Then there will be a 2nd sheet and extra joint wiche needs heat welding. That's is very important to heat weld it .
      Keep watching our channel you can see how we heat weld the joint .

    When u layed the vinyl does this adhesive give you room to move it or does it stick straight away

    • @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd
      @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd  Год назад

      There won't be alot of movement once you place the vinyl on the glue.
      The only way you could slide the vinyl up and down if you lay it wet ..but there will a risk of bubbles..
      Good luck...

      Not on this one
      They will overlap the lat tile about 30mm over the vinyl
      It's a waterproof way of doing the wetroom.
      But you can do it with capping too

    I just bought a house with a wet room with this floor. How would I take it out? Feels like it's going to be a very tough job. I want to get tiles on the floor. Thanks.

    • @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd
      @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd  2 года назад

      This is safety vinyl flooring. It's hard to uplift because it's been adhered to the subfloor with some strong glue.
      .start to score it with knives like very small strip then pull it .
      It will come off with bit of sweat and graft..
      If its really hard the you may have get a nibbler machine to hire to strip the vinyl ..
      Good 👍

      You can only paint over concrete subfloor..We have never tried painting over the pvc vinyl flooring. But you could try and buy some sort of paint wiche is made for this kind of flooring...if it works cheaper for you .Good luck

    People have died in spaces that small from asphyxiation from that F60 adhesive. It's INCREDIBLY bad for you and anyone around you. If you have to use it you need decent fume extraction and I'd recommend a good ventilator mask. Even better swap onto zigger tape like most guys have, you'll cut your life significantly short if you keep doing this to yourself

    • @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd
      @bespokeflooringsolutionsltd  2 года назад

      Thanks for your advice.
      I don't use this f60 anymore mate so often..only use it in good open space with air floating in and out ..
      We all should stop using it .I agreed 👍
      I use mapei solvent free adhesive and double side tape..
      Yes you are right we all need to be aware of the risks involved with using f60.
      It should be banned completely..

      Tape shrinks and good for nothing but cowboys

    • @greenreaper1985
      @greenreaper1985 2 года назад

      @@jamescooper9583 I wouldn't agree with that statement. Double sided tape has always had a large number of usages that fall in line with doing a job safely, cleanly and efficiently. Granted some tapes do shrink and definitely should not be used in some applications i.e things like dim strips. I've never had an issue of shrinkage on a cap and cove vinyl because of using tape to go up the wall. In fact I don't know anyone that ever has to be quite honest. If you have had those issues I'd suggest using a higher quality tape. Try the U-tack tape from Uzin, I'd say it's head and shoulders the best out there
