The Big Push have remained friendly. They split when Ren went to Canada for treatment almost two years ago.
Romain, who played the guitar solo, appeared with Ren at the Sky Arts awards last week.
And at the Secret Garden Party... 😊
Also the guitarist in chair in the first money game.
No need to be bitter they had a great time and time changes things and circumstances. Besides wih Rens nr1 position now people looked into the Big Push more then they probably ever thought possible.
It wasn't just because Ren went to Canada, according to Ren, at their last busking gig, he told the crowd he was headed somewhere for a new kind of medical treatment and that the other 3 all had amazing opportunities to pursue individually and that they would all be on opposites ends of the globe from each other for a year or so.
unfortunately, Ren's treatment was unsuccessful, and he will be heading back to Canada soon for another round. So it may not be in the cards to have a revival anytime soon.
I have never seen an artist more free than Ren. He’s unapologetically himself and it’s a beautiful thing.
I love the fact that Siah felt that and commented on it. Ren inspires that freedom in all of us. 💜
The last artist that was like that was the great Purple One, Prince 💜 RIH
Check out the band Brother's moving, minnie and the moocher. That lead singer is very much the same. Solid band.

The band played their last show at the Brighton Dome in September 2022 they split because they were all going in different directions. Ren had to go to Canada for treatment of his health, was initially only supposed to be for 3-6 months turned out to be 18 months. Glen the drummer got married and moved to Australia, Gorran on bass here is travelling and Romain the Frenchman with the black guitar is also focussing in his solo stuff. They are all still good friends and Ren had Romain play guitar for his recent Sky Arts Awards performance, they also played a couple of songs together at Rens show at The Secert Garden Party festival ealier this summer.
Romain also had his own set on Friday night and we saw Ren hanging out in the back doorway watching his friend play.
He actually needs to go back to Canada now

You have unlocked the new characters ***ROMAIN AXISA*** and ***GORRAN KENDALL***!! Romain also has his own solo career, as well as being an amazing quarter of The Big Push.

When Ren performs, he's said that he is always seeking flow-state--a state where his conscious mind is off, and he's just a conduit for the performance. This is one of the best examples of how in-tune the entire band is with each other, and how different the music is as a result. The band decided to disband and Ren, Romain, and Gorran are currently pursuing separate solo careers, and Glenn (the drummer) is currently living and working in Australia.
And the boys have a small but loyal following, too, aka the Romainiacs and the 𝖦𝗈𝗋𝗋ɑ𐓣𝗀υ𝗍ɑ𐓣 𝖯𝗈ɕƙ౿𝗍 𝖦ɑ𐓣𝗀!
Ren is a vocal chameleon. Guys what a reaction, loved it. Knew you guys would appreciate the heck outta this 💕💕
The Big Push … the band without a frontman, because they’re had 3! Best mates and band mates who put their mutual love and respect for the art and the music above individual egos. They’re all multi instrumentalists and switch off on lead. People of Brighton were blessed indeed with these guys!

that wade in the water video almost had me in tears! All amazing musicians. Wish I could have seen them in person!
Who else has noticed that he tells the band "like drum-n-bass now" just as he enters Dead Prez's rap section? Just more indication on how he also communicates to the band the direction that he wants to express the vocals as he's feeling them. Any ensemble musician also can easily see the spots where he changes the pace, tempo, flow, and feel as he goes through this performance. The band members are awesome in that they watch and listen to each other so that they cooperate.
I love the jamming effect of a Ren arrangement on the go. Maestro musician. 👍
Yess finally a reactor who picked up DJ Luck and MC Neat. Ren ties up the history and evolution of black music in this performance so smoothly and perfectly. Reggae, hip hop, garage, scatting…he graduated already! Awesome reaction 👌🏻👏🏻 .
That's what I love about him too, he's a "student of music". His musical awareness is like no one I've heard before.
"One good thing about music, when it heats you, you fell no pain". The first line on Dead Prez's Hip Hop, but originally from Bob Marley's Trenchtown Rock. Such a truthful message, and Ren must feel it very close to his heart.

That was a lot of fun! The Big Push members are solo players in their own right, Romain Axisa - guitar solo, Gorran Kendall on bass, Glenn Chambers on drums. They came together when Ren and Romain shared a flat and started busking, then joined by Gorran and lastly by Glenn. They disbanded when Ren had to go to Canada for medical treatment. Romain is the guy under the sack in Money Game 1, and again for Money Game 2 at the Sky Arts Awards recently.
The Big Push disbanded in Dec of 22 when Ren had to leave for medical treatments in Canada, where he stayed until July of this year. Sadly he just found out that he has to return for more treatments since he's had a set back.
Yeah, he had a pretty crushing blow that, along with finding out that there is no audio to the secret party recording really bummed him out, and then didn't his laptop burn out earlier this week? Get liquid spilled on it or something? He's not having a good week. I'm praying for him that this time, it works.
Set back was to be expected with those treatment things go worse before they go better. But everyone responds different to those treatments.
Yeah I just heard about that terrible News earlier, he said he's going to start another course of the treatment. All my prayers go out to him & with the help & support of his friends, family & fans Ren will beat this Lyme disease & path the way for any other sufferer to see it can be beaten. 🔥

I’ve seen so many reactions to this video and have never heard any commentary on that section. Thanks for sharing info about the song! I’m 54 and live in the US and I’ve never heard the song.
Yeah, I don't think I'd ever heard it before, either -- other than in this cover, but it didn't carry any meaning (no wonder a lot of reactors don't say anything about it, I guess)... but I went and looked it up when they did react, and... now I've heard it, and it makes this more rich. :)

I'm going to steal that, it's the best description I've seen of Ren's wide sources of inspiration.
Romain, the guy playing the black guitar, has a solo career now!!!! He has done other work with Ren after this too. He’s also tremendous and doing well. Many of the others who have performed with REN are also doing quite well. You will see them in other early songs…..like “An Englishman In New York”. They are each so damn special and talented!!❤

Romain Axisa still lives in Brighton, but Gorran Kendall went travelling and the last I heard he was in Spain. They both have their own channels. I heard that the drummer, Glen Chambers, got married and moved to Singapore? Ren has said he is open to getting back together if the others want it. Romain recently played guitar for Ren on live TV
There are various versions of Ren performing these songs and they are all different.

Great reaction 👏, this was a crazy day for Ren and the big push. The next mashup they did in this set was “War Pigs 🐷” then they did “Paint it Black” where the bass guitarist sings. I would have lived to been there.

The band broke up in 2022 due to Ren's medical treatment, but they are still friendly and each of the members say they are talking about a reunion one day not sure when but one day Ren just got news he has to do another round of treatment Romain Axisa and Gorran Kendall and Glen Chambers is the other members Romain and Gorran has their own solo stuff to each member does different styles of music, but together their magical harmonies are killer

Fantastic reaction. Sidenote, I loved how you said that you envy people who can play instruments. Started with "I just could never... I just didn't put the time into mastering them". I'm the same way, envy them so much but at the same time I tried a guitar for like maybe 50 hours total and gave up because I was trash. These people live music and practice day in and day out. I just thought that was a dope comment from ya'll. I hate when people just say it's all talent and not hard work too
I'm with Siah, I love instruments and their sound and I keep meaning to learn them. I broke my wrist in May and I've been trying to learn violin but I've had to take time from it because there are good days for that, and then there are most days

The Big Push formed in 2017. Initially being Ren, Romain and Gorran with Glenn joining later to play drums.
Gorran and Romain met busking, Romain and Ren then met through Facebook while Ren was trying to find a flat mate. They would all busk together and Glenn would sit in as drummer while also playing bass with another friend Rafa. They then decided to become a band and would take to the streets of Brighton and also created masterpieces of their own.
They played numerous gigs including a sold out tour of the U.K. and also released a 6 track EP called “Can Do Will Do”.
They busked together for the last time on 14th December 2022 and played their final gig at the Brighton Dome a short while later. Having to go on hiatus due in part to Ren moving to Canada for medical treatment and their lives going in different directions. Although they remain good friends and Ren and Romain have mentioned wanting to play together again.

Paul Simon was the musical songwriting producing genius behind Simon and Garfunkel Art Garfunkel’s vocals were the window dressing/ icing on the cake!!! What did Paul Simon do??? 😂😂😂He created heavenly music both with Simon and Garfunkel and then Solo😂❤

Ren has,as an artist (performer), perfected the art of making imperfections perfectly imperfect , with a a large dose of perfection!! He is so,so honest and real in what he does and in how he does it ❤
I believe Ren has said in interviews that while he is still friends with everyone in the band he has been focusing on getting his health managed and a couple of solo projects including his Sick Boi album that was his most recent release, and with having to be in Canada for his health care a good majority of the time he hasn't had the opportunity to reunite with the band due to scheduling and distance
also another band he was in was Trick the Fox @trickthefox which was like a dozen years ago

so good to see reactors who pick on The DJ Luck & MC Nate section!! Garage was my scene at Uni 1998-2001. I worked in a club with a garage section and they came to play a few times. When I first saw this video I jumped up with excitement and couldn't stop smiling! I already loved REN, but knowing he knew his garage music as well as the plethora of music he has been influenced by and learned about was an added bonus. You have it spot on; he is a student of music, and I would say he is also blazing new pathways with his artistry. BIG UP you guys! Here for more :)
