As a european, I feel like I should mention some things: be careful at pick-pockets, there are unfortunately some, especially in really busy touristy areas, hotel rooms usually have a safe in which you can place your valuables (carding them around with you isn't safe) and cafes usually have english menus, you just have to request them. Stay safe and have fun whenever you come back 💜💜
what qjin reads always touches my heart, i cried like a baby because i'm in a really bad place rn but it still made me feel worthy and less harsh on myself.

Hi QQ, the apple pie you ate at a café is called "Tarte Tatin" which is a traditional french pastery, the apples are caramelized in butter and sugar. The originality is that you bake the pie upside down, you put the apple at the bottom of the dish with butter and sugar and then you put the dough on top

I've lived in Paris and always say you need to be well off to enjoy this city, but in the vlog they really went for expensive (and iconic) places, the prices here scared me too, not your average breakfast/restaurant.

Ps: the unusual apple pie is called "Tarte tatin". It is in fact cooked upside down meaning the apples are placed in the bottom of the pie pan and covered with the puff pastry. Once cooked, we flip over the whole thing, and tada !
