If there’s no real techs from Gardy, you can hands twice which wraps up the game. The newer versions of Gardy don’t accomplish that as much but the slower NAIC Gardy was meant to be a counter to Lugia in some capacity
Raikou+cyllene was the cook for our group but only 1 of us made day 2, we just wanted an efficient attacker for the zard MU, (I ended up 0-2 against zards back to back anyways lol)
Play what you want to play, my friend. Playing Pokemon is not like a marriage vow; you’re allowed to reconsider your decisions 😂 Still an incredible run!
Iron thorns beats lugia due to its ability to shut off abilites from any rule box pokemon while in the active. Basically if your against quad thorns you won't be able to get off a summoning star due to the ability which completely hinders a lugia deck as it is the only way to get archeops out and start accelerating energy.
@@KHfan0011 No problem. The ability works on rule box pokemon so basically anything that is a pokemon v, vmax, vstar, ex, or radiant pokemon. If a vstar ability is in the form of an ability then iron thorns shuts it off but if it's in the form of an attack then it doesn't so an example would be giratina vstar it could still use star requiem even with thorns in the active since it's an attack and not an ability.
I'm glad you lied, Lugia and Rahul Reddy are like Peanut Butter and Jelly. It goes together. Top 16 is amazing. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I told you at Sacramento that you had some magic luck with your Lugia deck 😂
You signed a lugia vstar for me after day 1 in louisville this year. Nice to see you back on the deck!
Sam here from round 5. Was awesome to play against you, even with a spot of bad luck. Congrats on your placement in the end :)
Yeah good games! See you around!
gg go next sir; hope to see you at Toronto this weekend!
See you there!
"garde is a good mu" What am I missing
iron hands i think, if they didn’t tech in a way to deal with that they just get run over usually
@ they just iono/swing into it with Garde and monkeydori it the following turn.
@@SeagroveTCG yeah might be not as bad as i think idk, gardy does tend to make the crazy comebacks on the regular lol

@@RahulReddy yeah the slower one is tough

What are the chances we see you using the Regi/Pikachu deck ?
50/50 either you do or you don’t

Oof, it was a pleasure playing you

I just don’t want to
Lol spotted you at the convention centre
you may have lied but the cards didnt, well done rahul
I mean, miridon…
Why does Iron Thorns beat Lugia so badly? Well, outside of the weakness of course.

@@lordvizer7398 thanks. I didn't know Thorns could block Vstar powers. I thought those were exempt from it.
Yeah this
@@RahulReddy Yeah, I had no idea that stopped VStar Powers. That's kind gross XD god-damn that card is oppressive.
