y'all!!! these are my tips and tricks as to how I got into the sports media world. I also wanted to give a little background for those of you who might not know my background. To all the newcomers out there: listen closely this video! These tips are not just for sports media, but *all* media. Be honest, be kind, be assertive, be the person others like having around. You'll get in. Once you're in, your answer is always "yes". Cover people's days off, work weekends, stay late, show up early, offer to help, make friends, avoid drama. Do these things and when an opportunity comes up, you're the one they'll call. I went from local radio intern to national MTV radio host to TV producer in a few years by following this philosophy. These aren't steps toward a goal... it's a *philosophy*. Apply this to your life, be willing to work hard on your career and any goal can be achieved. I'm living proof and Professor Salmon is the next generation.
