I would totally watch a video where you go over a current WR run and explain every strat they’re doing while they’re doing it. But I guess that could be considered reaction content, even though it would add a lot of value. Idk. Would be fun and interesting, nevertheless
While being reaction content depending on who you ask, Matto has stated numerous times that he doesn't have a problem with your idea, as he is involved with the speedrun community himself. As such, he knows what's gonna be in the video and can give meaningful commentary.
In my opinion, a speedrun breakdown would be a more fitting term than a speedrun reaction.
I don’t think he really has time for that
An in depth explanation of every strat DOES count as transformative content, I think, and it also changes the target audience to those who are perhaps interested in starting to run themselves. Plus, with the limited number of vidoes this would make, it's nowhere near as bad as the usual reaction content.

I think nobody would have guessed, that UnNamed would become such a big name in Gta V speedrunning when he first surfaced.
that’s one thing i love about speedrunning, a few people can dominate for years, for some games even 20 years, then all of a sudden there’s new people that come out of nowhere and find new strats
Matt doesn’t get enough credit for his commentary. He is always engaging and speaks so clearly and coherently even when rattling off info so swiftly.

Always knew Matto was a big part of speedrunning but i did not realise the amount of times he achieved WR across multiple different categories. He is truly that guy who plays GTA slightly faster than everyone else.

These world record progressions type videos are my favorite type of content to watch when it comes to speedrunning. I hate documentaries but one of my favorite videos out there is AverageTreyVG's videos on the history of Mario Sunshine's records. I really hope you do more like this, but with more game footage.

You forgot the history of the most prestigious category: Mask%. Everyone wanted the world record but it was held by some UnlitCobra guy or something of years and years.
This is a video idea I've wanted you to have for a while. The reason why I watch your videos is you are genuine - you don't act like you're a god for having WRs in the past and even with some of them you downplay them. Fair play.

I wanted to leave a comment about the color coding you used. I'm partially colorblind and I couldn't really distinguish the colors very well. In the future, I think you should pick some more varying colors, patterns, or just labels, to make it more accessible to those with vision problems. I wish you all the best. :)

This is not really a critique, more of a personal thing but I feel like your videos are getting a bit too ''avg 2023 youtuber'' style. It's amazing for the algorithm I bet but I just personally feel like the matto side of it starts to disappear.
Don't get me wrong, this video is amazing! The idea (while not original) is still really great and is executed well. I don't know, it might just be me disliking how much you try to appeal to the algorithm to the point where the person who I subscribed to and his content is no longer here. I'm mostly just a rambles watcher nowadays since I love hearing you speak and talk about things you're interested in and passionate about.
