Aw! This song brings back home again that RM is just a human being and not a machine - I’ve always wanted for the guys to have someone to love and I’m sure with their schedules and just their status it’s really hard to find someone genuine who you can trust. I think He said he wrote this last Spring when they were in Las Vegas which makes me sad to know that he was a little miserable while doing those concerts. We all love him so much it’s hard to know when they aren’t doing well. I hope he’s doing great now concentrating on himself. This song does start out sounding like Gotye! But it’s one of my favorites on the album. Simple and emotional with RM’s sultry voice💙

Still Life and Lonely are my favorites in his Album. Lonely may have been written during the pandemic as they werrle already living separately at that time. Good thing though that the company released their common apartment only in 2021, so that they still had the opportunity to hang out together when they had to Vlog in units or shoot for Run BTS or practice during their online shows at thst time. Like everyobe else, the toll of the pandemic did them like crazy. Living together for most of their years would definitely hit them hard which led them into an intoverted life and even sunshine JHope and the joker king Jin did not escape the same. Perhaps, the hiatus or the military thing wpuld be a healthy process for them to give them breathing space, to be with people other than their members and managers, and to enable them grow individually by finding out who truly they are as indiviliduals. Definitely, it will take sometime for them to settle their trust issue against the outside world as they had gone through alot of challenges and it felt like they were all alone fighting against the world all those years, not to mention their young age at that time. Good thing for them that the ARMY became their support system ehich kept thrm grounded up to this day. Unlike most huge superstars who became obsessed with fame and resorted to self-inflicted harm. But soon, the 70T will get by. Am sure RM is not feeling this way anymore by this time. Besides, painful emotion in a piece of art is best reflected by the artists when they are looking at it at a distance or by the time they have overcome it.
Yeah, the 2 songs sounds alike . And the themes are almost the same. I can see him be inspired by the Gotye song. Closer, Change pt 2 and Lonely all fit together, it must have been a really hard break up for him. So sad. Such a honest album. I hope he finds love and happiness in his 30's.

I heard the Gotye song too. I think the first couple notes are the same, the tempo is similar, probably it's the same key. I can't unhear it 😂
