- The St. Louis, Missouri metro is home to 2.8 million people! Prior to European settlement, the St Louis area was the epicenter of Mississippi River First Peoples society. St Louis was founded in 1764 by French fur traders and named after King Louis IX. The area was won and lost by France and Spain until being sold to the US as part of the Louisiana Purchase. In 1870, St Louis was the fourth largest US city and even proclaimed itself politically independent from any nation in 1877. Today, St Louis is a Gamma Global city with more than $160 billion in annual GDP. It's headquarters to many world class corporations, including Ameren Co, Peabody Energy, Purina PetCare, Anheuser-Busch, Wells Fargo, Square, Inc., U.S. Bank, Anthem BlueCross and Blue Shield, and AT&T. Major U.S. agencies are also headquartered here, including the U.S. Department of Agriculture and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Among the city's notable sights is the 630-foot (192 m) Gateway Arch in the downtown area. St. Louis is also home to the St. Louis Zoo, and the Missouri Botanical Garden, with the second-largest herbarium in North America.
the music is perfect for St Louis 👍👍👍👍😊

Nothing beats the 1980's St Louis riverfront! We had a McDonald's riverboat. We had Burger King riverboat. We had the Robert E Lee riverboat. We had the Admiral riverboat. We had the Goldenrod showboat. We had the WWII Minesweeper. We had the Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer (I believe they're still there). This riverfront today is a joke from what it was circa 1986-1992!!
👍
2:50 okay, that shot of Art Hill doesn't do it justice that hill is a LOT bigger than this shot makes it look!!
The song is so relaxing, whats the name of it, and who sings it, thanks for the tour

Exactly, Angela! We love this song and thought it would capture the true spirit of St Louis so well. The song is 'Stockholm' by Revel Day (Feat. Jobii). Thank you so much for the positive comment and subscribing to our channel!
No view of the Stanley Cup winning Enterprise Center?
Thanks for watching, Sprudo. You’re 100% right. We regrettably ran out of time. Missed that, the aquarium area, and a few other cool spots. We’ll make another one next time we’re back! Definitely get the home of the Champions next time!
I love the video but lemme borrow the drone and shoot my video of what was really happening
Haha Okay, Maine Blood! Where would you have flown the drone?
Through Berkeley
Show me state!
That's right, Matt! Interesting history on that nickname. U.S. Congressman Vandiver coined that phrase in 1899 in a speech at Philadelphia's city hall. He said, "I come from a state that raises corn and cotton and cockleburs and Democrats, and frothy eloquence neither convinces nor satisfies me. I am from Missouri. You have got to show me."
Notice the footage cuts when the true St.louis starts to enter the frame.
Yes, because everyone loves looking at rundown or industrial buildings from the air.
😭😭😭 boi
All the buildings and most homes were built in the 1900's +/- 10 years, My two family flat on Kings highway was built in the early 1900s with a coal shoot on the side..
All old homes/buildings are going to look outdated or dilapidated from drone footage afar.
Thanks for checking out our video, Jeribe! On our channel, we showcase all the best parts of each city. St Louis is such an amazing place with so much to see and do. We loved it here and can't wait to visit again. Next time we visit, we'll make another video and tag you. Thanks for subscribing to our channel!
After watching it it really should just be called downtown St Louis/Forest Park!
Here’s a tour of Forest Park ruclips.net/video/XiZ_gV89bfM/видео.html
