BUT, from what I've seen, no way does Lulu match Maru in terms of incredible displays of personality and just how cool he is. As far as cute looks goes, I can understand why many would pick Lulu (not me, but I get it). Not to get hung up on it, but breeders formulate these munchkin-type cats with certain physical attributes to appeal to people so they can sell for more $. It can be a bit sad to me tho because there are so many cats out there who need homes already and, while I admit they look adorable, there are increased tendencies for health probs and they have a hard time cleaning themselves, etc. due to these physical characteristics purposely bred into them. Anyway, just to have fun and muse (and I totally welcome hearing more about what you see in Lulu!), I think maybe part of Maru's exceptionalness is that he's a natural little thinker. You can often see the little gears moving in his mind on unique ways to entertain himself, experiment with life, have fun, gorge, be a silly clown, and get pleasure. It's weird and rare... No matter what kind of animal it is, when you have a strange being who is kind and loving, yet who goes his/her own very-uncommon way with both absentmindedness and a polite awareness, it's a fascinating thing to watch. Maru has that in him, whatever it is. I KNOW WAY TOO LONG! I'M SRY!

I am so glad the cats were indoors when those macaques came over. They can attack and really hurt or kill a pet or even a person.They seem very brazen as well, not to mention fearless.
It's cute seeing the cats interact with other animals. Hopefully they didn't get too scared when the macaques were being naughty, though. And I'm glad that one didn't run away and leave you with just one half of a pair of sandals!

I think that may have been the first time I've heard a hiss from Maru! It's usually Hana who stands ground. Good job showing them who's King of the Castle! Also, the piano tune you often play so fits Maru's antics, it's perfect!
It goes to show how calm and happy he is the vast majority of the time :). Maru has the capacity for anger, but his life is so cushy and calm that he rarely feels it.
One and only time I remember hearing Maru hiss at something. He defends the House very bravely against the macaques. Did he learn to step on the foot pedal to open the trash bucket ? He sharpens his nails on the old sofa where he and Hana sleep in the winter. Miri keeps her astonished distance. Glad monkeys only use their paw to attack the glass and don’t hit it with other objects like the clogs at the door.
3:20 surprised Miri was the best face she's like "the hells going on....no really what's happening" and Maru after a long day of dealing with chaotic monkies puts on his favorite dress 😅😂
Brave & cool Maru told off those naughty monkeys. He showed them who’s the lord. They cant scare him. 😂 This is the 1st time ever I heard him hissing & being this angry ever since this channel exists. 😅 I saw him got mad before but not hissing like this. He’s still so cute tough. lol 2:05 Maru’s left paw was ready to swat them, then he realised there’s a glass door between them 😂
Maru never get bored! Always something new to learn! New ideas to have fun! To amuse Hannah, Miri and Mommy! Even when the mischievous and playful macaques, so impolite,🐒😾 make him angry, he enjoys proudly, to be a perfect and brave body guard for his beloved family! 😸🎉🥰

In 15 years, that's the first time I saw him hissing. Even when Hana & Miri were bothering him, he never hissed at them.
