@ Hi Harun! @@AlexAutoFun Wouv, that was a great clarification. I was wondering why some cars are not compatible with it. Because it shouldn't have been an engine problem. My car is Insignia B Grand Sport 1.6 CDTI, I will try to find out the voltage value of the OBD socket and I hope I can find it :) I would like to ask one more question if I may... I am considering either C1 or C2 version. Regarding the first one (C1), it seems like LED screen is a bit tall and it blocks the mirror glass from the bottom as far as I can check from the videos and pictures. On the other hand C2 (and also C3) has a bit smaller led screen frame. Hence the mirror glass is not affected by it (If I am not wrong). Did you have the same issue while using C1?
@Harun Mirsad Günday Hi Harun! Unfortunately I have not reviewed the C2 or the C3 so I can comment on those. But regarding the C1 you can see how it looks in this video as far as how the projector looks in front of the clear reflective portion. While it doesn't get in my way, I would imagine that if the reflector is not aimed correctly at the user, the screen can be either partially blocked or fully blocked (same if the seat height is not adjusted correctly, the driver can potentially not see the HUD) So I do recommend adjusting the reflector and seat height before driving to ensure you have a good unobstructed view. Hi! good question, I think HUDs are definately not for everyone. Some find them very helpful and adjust to using them fairly quickly, and some other people don't find use for them or find them annoying. The easiest way to experience a HUD before buying one to see if you would like it would be to test drive a new C8 or a new Mercedes S Class, the new Tundra & Sequoia and other high end vehicles like the BMW X5 also have a HUD from the factory so you can experience one in real life. Hi Arnab! No need to connect it to the GPS, this unit has the GPS antenna built in (specially handy if you want to use it with the cigarette lighter adapter instead of the OBD2 adapter. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun hi alex .
What I came to know after install . There is an app called WiiYii. It has its own map system . So I was wondering if it can be connected with Google or Android auto . Might be there is a hack 😁😁😁🤔😁
Hi Arnab! Ah that maybe for their other more advaced HUDs which are more advanced, this is just a basic HUD. Here is another HUD with app support you may be interested on ruclips.net/video/z-m_ez2a8o4/видео.html Cheers!
If I connect this via OBD port, will it drain my car battery?
Hi Mustafa! Normally the OBD2 adapter only get's power when the vehicle is On. However your installer can confirm if your OBD port has power all the time or is switched. Cheers!
So this has no night vision?
Hi 12! Ah no, if you need night vision here is a good system for that ruclips.net/video/rPKSmVbXJBU/видео.html Cheers!
how do i get it to turn off when the car is off?
Hi! If your cigaretter lighter plug turns off and on when you turn on and off you car, then the HUD will come on and off with the car. And if your plug is always on even when the car is off then for those cases this is what I use amzn.to/3BofzJI to control the lighter port manually. Hope this helps, Cheers!
compatible with Citroen C4 Picasso 2 (04.2016, 1.6 bluHDI, AT, EDC Bosch 17C60) ?
Hi Dmitriy! This HUD is a universal device for all types of vehicles and makes. And here is another HUD that may interest you if you need advanced features ruclips.net/video/z-m_ez2a8o4/видео.html Cheers!
You like this or the hudway better?
Hi Corey! that is a good question! The Hudway is way more capable, I'm actually working on a video where I compare them both, stay tuned, Cheers!
Hi Corey! Here is the comparison video you guys asked for ruclips.net/video/QEgP4ma8VUg/видео.html Cheers!
HUD without map ?
Hi Sempax! This is a basic HUD. Here is an advanced HUD if you need Maps ruclips.net/video/z-m_ez2a8o4/видео.html Cheers!
Is it true that this device is not compatible with diesel engine vehicles?
Hi Hraun! You can use it. As explained on the video, this HUD is a standalone device with built in features that do not require interfacing to your car (but it does require that your car has a cigarette lighter port for power). Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Hey AutoFun! Thanks for your fast and kind answer... I want to ask one more question. Can I also use it via OBDII interface? I ask this because some suppliers insist that it is not compatible with diesel engine cars even if the required OBD interface exists.
@ Hi Harun! This would depend on your vehicle, if it has an OBD2 port and if it's a standard 12V (some larger vehicles use a 24V system which could be the reason why you were told it may not work with your vehicle with the OBD2 port) If you car does have a 24V system then you would want to use a standard USB power supply to power the unit. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Here my other video where I cover HUD placement in more detail ruclips.net/video/YToLU4Z0aWU/видео.html Hope this helps, Cheers!
what about Wiiyii, XTOBD?
Hi Venci! Correct, this HUD is sold both under the Wiiyii and XTOBD brand. I placed links to it in the video description. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Hoe can you use Wiiyii with device?
Hi Venci! The HUD itself (the C1) is Wiiyii and can be used as shown on the video. Cheers!
Any software support other than wiiyii with this?
Hi Roshan! nope unfortunately this HUD does not support Wifi or Bluetooth so there is no software or APP that can connect to it. However here is one that does have Wifi App ruclips.net/video/z-m_ez2a8o4/видео.html and I have more HUD reviews coming up, stay tuned, Cheers!
is it worth to using?
Hi! good question, I think HUDs are definately not for everyone. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Alex, how do you change the colors of the speed readout? Right now it goes yellow at around 60 MPH when it should be 80 MPH.
Hi! You can see how to change the colors at approx. the 6:40 mark. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Thanks. I saw that but it doesn't address what I was asking. The HUD changes font color at different speeds. I'm trying to override that. It changes to yellow at 60 MPH, which is too early. I need it to go yellow at 80 MPH.
@@AquariusTurtle You're welcome! Ah yes regarding the speed alarm trigger you can change it, you can see that option at around the 6:02 mark. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun But that's not what I was asking about......
@@AquariusTurtle Hi! You can also contact the vendor for tech support, I'm sure they can walk you thru the setup process. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi sir 5:40 5:42 5:43 5:44
Hi Alex, I just received the C2 OBD2 + GPS Unit and I'm having trouble adjusting to mph and difficulty selecting the language mode needed!
I don't have a toggle switch just buttons to make my selections...any help would be appreciated !
Hi Michael! that is strange, there should be a toggle switch to adjust settings, what does yours look like like?
The power cable is just a bummer. what the heck is wrong with design of charging plugs to this things. It looks really bad from outside.
Hi Soso! Here is another one that uses a different charger style ruclips.net/video/z-m_ez2a8o4/видео.html and I have more HUD reviews coming, stay tuned. Cheers!
😒 Did I miss something ot none of these look like the one on the thumbnail?! 😠
Hi Toni! You can see that at the 7:53 mark. And here is another HUD that may interest you ruclips.net/video/z-m_ez2a8o4/видео.html Cheers!

Kind of in the way went someone walk across.
Hi Syeed! yep the information will be displayed in your line of sight so it will be in the way of your view of the road. Here is two more alternatives ruclips.net/video/z-m_ez2a8o4/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/lW2T24YMipY/видео.html but again keep in mind the idea of heads up display is to show the information in front of the driver's line of sight (which is the reason I don't think they are for everyone) Hope this helps, Cheers!
How to change from miles per hour to km/hr
Hi Kevin! You can see how I change that setting at the 7:10 mark. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hello, i have an Electrical Vehicle (Kia EV6) and what is vert strange is when i plug the OBD port, the systèm tell me that my car is not Recognise so i use it with GPS.. I can't find a HUD for electric car..
Hi Levy! Yeah EV vehicles don't typically follow OBD2 protocols (since the OBD standard was designed for ICE cars). So if running a HUD on an EV I would recommend using the standard auxiliary power adapter instead of the OBD2 adapter. And here is another HUD that may interest you ruclips.net/video/z-m_ez2a8o4/видео.html Cheers!
