We were called three separate times by shelters to adopt chihuahuas that were considered too aggressive for general adoption we kept every one for several years until they died. I don't agree with trying to make them bite- it's not funny, and makes the dog more aggressive. A simple no and lots of love removed the aggression from the dogs we adopted- just saying.
You and Lucky are the best team since Laurel and Hardy. You never fail to crack me up no matter how many times I watch. If Lucky is 12, you might want to get in all the hilarious videos while you can. He honestly doesn't look 12. You're the best!

@Abeoma chihuahuas are not a beginner breed. I'd be willing to bet he was picked up or grabbed as a puppy. A lot of chihuahuas HATE being picked up, it's scary, and they're losing control of their situation. All it would take would be even one stranger handling him roughly to prove to him that hands can't be trusted, and if Lucky learned that if he growls and nips then he doesn't get grabbed, then he'd do that every time, even if it doesn't work every time. At this point it's probably impossible to train that reflex out of him, even if he's learned by now that his family are different from strangers, and that strangers won't grab him.

Small dogs go untrained very often because they can't become as dangerous or destructive as large ones. Chihuahuas are great dogs that get bad a bad reputation because people neglect to teach them how to behave. Lucky is clearly an older dog and has a personality issue that didn't get addressed early on. It's harmless but it adds to the idea that Chihuahuas are mean, snappy dogs.

Lucky looks like an accountant with rage issues with that shirt on. Wife's left him, he got his second warning at work for violent conduct and broke his 2 months sobriety for a taste of lady liquor and her false promises.
I'm pretty sure Lucky was a method actor. You can't fake those looks that kill. He probably studied Joe Pesci's portrayal of Tommy DeVito in Goodfellas to capture the bad temper perfectly!
